Tapatalk WTF!? - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

I bought the app and been having it for a while.. recently updated it to 2.4.11 and now it won't let me upload pictures.. states I have to spend more money for the unlimited photo sharing.. this wasn't terms of agreement when I bought it.. it won't even ask to upload in the forum either like it used to.. anyone else face this? Might have to go back to xda app :banghead:

Well I would take a screenshot but it wouldn't let me upload it anyway. Its the principle of the matter lol. Its a paid app for a reason, now they want to charge me more to use features.. I feel taken advantage of..
Kinda sounds like my Friday night haha.. jk, that sounded bad.

What the heck would I be doing wrong. I've been using tapatalk for a very long time, and it suddenly prompted me for this. Care to share why you think that?

30 uploads ever? I've uploaded more than 30 since I bought the app 6 months ago. Is this a new rule?

It's been that way for a while. Of course it's only for "Tapatalk hosted" image uploads, not forum hosted images through Tapatalk. If you haven't received the prompt yet, you haven't reached your quota or you've been uploading to the forum server.

I just downloaded dropbox from the play store and logged in with my existing account. Less than 5 min later I got an email from dropbox saying my storage had increased by 23gb.

Yeah, but only for two years. Then you probably have to start paying. I'm just pretending I still have 5.75G. I'm only using 1.5G of it, anyway.
well if you havent used dropbox before now, you have to download, install, register on your phone. Then you have to download the app on a computer, upload atleast one file to dropbox, login to the website to take a tour of dropbox, and once you do all those things, it will finally give u the 25 GB
Also, you can increase gb's by referring people.

On clean ROM 4.1 SE. Radio is 2.09. I don't really care how it happened, just glad I got it. Was one of the deciding factors in choosing this phone as I love cloud storage, as I love flashing roms , makes it nice to know I can format my sd card every flash to avoid data problems on different roms, without losing photos or other important files. Hell I've got drive too. So I've managed to get myself over thirty gigs of space for free.
Edit: and if and when apple opens its icloud up to android(doubtful) I have twenty gigs there.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
Also wondering if I can spoof drop box and get the promo again on my other drop box account.
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
I am on the same rom. Try flashing the default button mod, uninstall dropbox, then reinstall.
hahah, no I dont have the SG3. I was on a rom from my skyrocket. Apparently, it thought I was a SG3
I am pretty sure Dropbox is determined to avoid giving me the free space. I only have 6 GB through them otherwise. I have been considering paying, but I know the instant I do...

Yep, you NEED to also visit https://www.dropbox.com/gs after setting up an account on your phone and do the tasks, then you'll get your free storage :good:
But I have been using Dropbox for ages and already done all of that. Probably at least a year now

On their website it says ATT and Verizon are no longer participating in the 25gb upgrade. Kinda sucks, wish there was a work around to get the space.

Could our ics update have been delayed because they are encrypting our bootloader for the upgrade?

I don't think so. I think it's because it's the thunderbolt lol.

Lol yeah that's true, just after all the irritated people finding their sgs3 with an encrypted bootloader makes me nervous of Verizon.
Sent from PhoneRom (ThunderShed)
It would be kind of stupid to encrypt a bootloader that hasn't been but verizon could possibly have them do it.
Sent from my ADR6400L using Tapatalk 2
I doubt you'll see it here. I think the real reason for the delay, is that this phone is over a year old. That's like 83 in cellphone years. Also, htc is no longer making money on this phone.
I just hope we even get the update at all. I guess we might, now that jellybean is coming out. That way we'll be acceptably behind in OS releases, just like we've always been.
Duely blundered from my thunderdolt

No. But the only reason I said this at all is because I talked to a tech at HTC who basically implyed that the update is done, the hold up is on Verizon at this point.

Not surprising. They have to take it apart and add all their bs to it before they send it out. At least we know htc is finished so maybe verizon won't take too long.

I've got the 2.0 I think. Works decent, hollow sound and you pretty much have to be within 10' of it to hear it. I found it works pretty good on a empty cardboard 12 pack.

Not familiar with return policies with the American carriers. Thought it was useful info for you guys as the 2.20 firmware seems to be testing the loyalty of some users.
Well it doesn't surprise me really. I moved back to AT&T two months ago after a long long absence and was surprised that they had a 30 day period. I actually started with an Atrix HD, found out there was no root so pawned it off on the gf so I could grab a One X. Thought I could root it but didn't realize I would get stuck with the 2.2 update so I'm with everyone else waiting for root.
Trying like all he** to find a way to root it myself but don't have a whole lot of free time to devote to it so I do what I can when I can. Still happy with the phone and with moving back to AT&T thoiugh and I know root will come eventually.
