Does anyone know if an apple iPod 30 Pin Dock Extender Extension Data Sync Cable will work on the Note 10.1.
Its seems to be a better cable (17 Core 30 Pin Dock connector Male To Female Cable) but if it does not work no sense it buying it.
Or does anyone know were I can buy one that does work.
Here are a few photos so you can see what I'm talking about.
Thanks

No, apple cables are different to Samsung, why not just use a USB extending cable, then you can use it for any other USB cable you wish to extend, that is a USB cable with a male and female connector. Jim

Exactly what I was going to suggest. I've been using them since the original tab 7 days. :good:

Are you saying that the actual 30 pin plug is a different shape or the way that it is wired?
I don't want to use this for charging I want to use it as a go between from my Note 10.1 and a HDMI Multimedia Dock for 7" inch tab that I have. I don't want to spend $90 bucks on a media hub to achieve screen mirroring to my TV if I don't have to.
Here's a thought, try to plug your apple cable into your note. Then you'll see it won't fit yourself....
Did you honestly think that 2 bitter rivals would use the same connector?
As for wiring, look that up on the net. I've never needed an Apple connector so haven't checked the wiring diagram.
There is always somebody on the World Wide Web trying to do what you are trying to do.
I am trying to connect a Galaxy tab HDMI dock to my Note 10.1. Well, the dock fits my Note 10.1 and works beautifully, and am streaming movies via XBMC. BUT, the darn stand does not fit. So I took off the plastic stand and use just the connector porteion, but it has a stand attached and the 10.1 will not stay on there securely, because the 10.1 + case does not fit the gap. I have to do some innovative balancing, and dare not touch the rig until the movie is over !!!!!
So if the cabel pictures in the OP is available in the SAMSUNG 10.1 version, then live would be a breeze !
So OP, how do you work out this problem? Find a cable that works? Thanks in advance !!!!!!!!!

I would like one of these as well. I can find adapters everywhere, but I have no doubt that I would break one off if I got it. I've found the Hong Kong stuff on ebay as well, but I don't really trust that stuff.
Its not that hard to make your own if your handy and have both an extra female USB and MicroUSB cable lying around.

I got a micro to full size female adaptor off eBay from
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180648882313
I then got a full sized USB male to full size female extension cable from
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230449719867
It is not pretty but got from NY and OH cheaply. It works well for reading my thumbdrive. Be advised I got two micro to full female adaptors from a company on EBay called cablesonline.net. Their adaptor will not work in my Xoom. The pinout is different I guess.
Does this adapter have the pins 4 and 5 shorted on the micro USB side to activate USB OTG host mode on the phone ?
Or else it's useless.
You now find a lot of cables, too, but the question is still pending...

Save yourself the aggravation and just get one of the Moto Camera Kit cable. Yes, it's pricy but you know that it works. The others are really hit or miss. I got lucky on one, but missed on three others. At least the misses were fairly cheap...still...
I bought ohne AT Amazon
http://www.amazon.de/Nokia-Micro-US...KI/ref=sr_1_23?ie=UTF8&qid=1312475592&sr=8-23
IT works just great, looks good and is flexible due to the little piece of cable between theplugs.
Only thing, you'll have to do is, file the corners of the micro plug to a more round fitting. This could be done in two minutes and is quite easy.

Don't know yet if it's OK, as it's not there yet !
I think I'll have to use a powered USb hub, as the HD2 doesn't seem to provide the necessary power supply.
OMG! Just buy the motorola one. You may say it's $20, but hey at least you know it works. Trust me you want the real deal if you use a usb hdd so the wiring is not cheap. That way if something fries then you weren't using an off brand that voids the warranty.

Agreed. The moto cable is well built and the perfect length for me. I use an SD to USB adapter for my dSLR and am able to plug this in through the moto cable to my xoom and just have it out of the way.

It arrived in under 10 days and works fine and was only $4 which included shipping. Also, the 90° end is really nice.
Sorry, couldn't make the link, not enough posts.

Hi,
Is there anyone who bought one of those aftermarket LG 3D dock's such as this one on ebay:

I'm wondering if they thought about the little piece of plastic covering the USB connector, a part from that it seems a pretty nice way to store the phone next to say you bed or on you desk.
Any thoughts?

Even though im a member since 2006, im not allowed to post links yet.
Update: nevermind, fixed
Bought it a couple of days ago.
- Yes, they thought about the USB covering.
- Unfortunately they forgot about the headphone jack. It's not accessible. To make it accessible you have to use a dremel or similar tool to cut away a bit of the rail which helps the phone slip into it's place.
- Two of my batteries sometimes lose contact when in the charger. Most times they charge well.
- The blue power indicator is very bright.
- Due to the phone's angle of 55° when in the stand the stand is best used on a desk when looking down on it from an angle.
Cool. Thanks, i connect my p920 to the stereo via bluetooth anyway, but thanks for the info!

the SDT-190 has no additional battery charger
it's more expensive
was hoping for the other dock to allow the phone wearing a gel case (it doesn't)
Ordering SDT-190 from LG Shop @ 16 Euro
PS. I just hope they will have it in stock.
And it has arrived - directly from LG Poland - took only 1 working day for the order to be processed and delivered by UPS.
Three pics as attached below.
Feels solid, heavy and of excellent build quality.
As you can see, it has two connectors: micro USB and micro HDMI
The phone's ports have those covers, which once you turn them 180 degrees hide into cavities which are located on both sides of connectors (on the dock).
Sliding into ports is easy and comfortable - no extra force or pressure is needed to place the phone into the dock - as well as no extra effort is needed to navigate the ports onto the connectors.
The cut you see on the left hand side is provided for the mini jack port (audio output), so that headphones or external speakers can be plugged in - yes we would prefer the audio port to be at the back at the dock, but this is good enough.
The USB port at the back enables us to charge the phone via USB cable (also works for connecting the phone to a PC as a USB mass storage) or the mains charger.
The docking station is ideal for everyday charging as well as watching movies, or YT
I believe it may also work as a stand when using a Bluetooth keyboard - one that I am waiting to arrive - excellent set up for typing vant numbers of emails and messages while away from our computer/away from home.
Overall I'm happy with the purchase, and I do think I would buy any other dock imitating the genuine original LG accessory.

Did your bluetooth keyboard work and what model did you use?
no it didnt work. only CM7 has L2CAP Bluetooth Protocol open/supported, and that's needed to connect the keyboard properly.
So I've sold it...
will this work?
any way to add bluetooth support?
http://www.thinkgeek.com/clearance/on-sale/e0e7/
you need to read the product description to see which OS it supports, or ask the seller.
you can't just turn the L2CAP protocol on just like that.

$40 + shipping is really too much for me. So I decided to take the plunge and get one of the Deconn adapters that have been floating around on ebay. Interestingly enough, the functionality is just as good as the OEM Analogix adapters.

I purchased my unit from kangyi2011 (link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=261249574227) for $18, including shipping. The only colour available was white—which looks surprisingly good in contrast to my pitch black Nexus 4 and TV—as if it is highlighted in a dark sea of modern electronics. You can clearly see the Slimport branding on the adapter even though it is not OEM.
UPDATE: A quick ebay search showed me that the adapter is now available in black, and has an additional micro usb cable for charging, which was not included with my unit.
The build quality of the adapter is quite good, as all of the parts seem to be pieced together securely. The ports are solid and the micro usb cable plugs in easily and securely to my phone.
In addition to the HDMI port, there is a micro usb port on the other side of the adapter to allow for charging during use. This is a very important feature as I noticed that my Nexus' battery drained very quickly while mirroring, even at minimum brightness.
HDMI port
Micro usb charging port
As I mentioned earlier, the adapter works perfectly, mirroring my Nexus 4's screen at native 1080p. It is fully compatible with Android 4.3 and its updates; i.e. screen does not force into landscape now. I have not included any pictures of the adapter during use because it has the same functionality as the Analogix adapter.
The only gripe I have about the product is that the phone connection cable (which cannot be removed) is rather short. This means that you must keep your phone close to the adapter during use. This may make it difficult to play games, as the adapter can get in the way. Mirroring media is not a problem as you do not need to be touching the phone.
PROS:
- Solid construction
- Full functionality in comparison to OEM adapters
- Cheap price
CONS:
- Relatively long shipping wait
- Connection cable is a bit short

WOW, I was looking for this! It's hard to say if these chinese products have really good quality, especially when we're talking about a new technology.
I think I'll get one, since shipping costs to Brazil make the OEM one even more expensive!
I just want to ask you if you noticed some problem with it's frame rate, cause some hdmi and vga chinese cables, sometimes, even having the expected resolution, show problems with that. Have you tried some games just to see how does it go?
Thank you very very much, just for writing this complete review you helped me a lot! Cheeeers from BR!

No frame rate issues most of the time, but there are some microstutters (barely noticeable) during 1080p playback of certain movie files (wmv, mkv). This is to be expected though.

Ordered a FUZ dock. It has a couple of thicknesses of the pad, so I am going to see if it will work with my soon to be Pure. Will post.
Interested in the results. I was hoping to find one that works with the Pure.
I think i'm just going to design and print one after my phone gets here Wednesday. Wish I had exact dimensions before it got here.
I hope that the Seidio dock for my S4 will work with the XPE.

Compatible with with: LG Nexus 4 / Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy S4, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S III, Galaxy Note 2, Skyrocket, Epic 4G Touch, Galaxy S II (AT&T, T-Mobile, International), Galaxy Nexus, Galaxy Note, Google Nexus S, Google Nexus S 4G / Motorola Moto X (2013)
My Sinjimoru Dock works great. I had to use a USB to Micro USB adapter to connect the charging cables but it recognizes the super charger just fine.

You have to pair it with last year's Motorola Turbo Charger brick. It won't do it by itself.
Sent from my XT1575 using Tapatalk
I see. I did pair it with a charger that does give me turbo when connected directly. But it seems to lose turbo once I put the cradle in between by phone and my quick charger. I will try with another charger I have and see if I get better results.
Do you have a link for the one you can confirm works for you?

Try docking with the screen unlocked. You should see the TurboCharge message show up. It's been working for me with the dock and 15 TurboCharge wall plug.
You can also try docking with the device totally off. You will see the TurboCharge message for sure then.
And of course, the device has to be below 100% charged when trying.
You sirs are correct. Getting Turbo through the craddle.
Thanks!!!
Anyone know if the Belkin dock with fit with a Supcase one?

Are you guys using cases with the docks you are recommending?
Suspect there are many Gear VR owners using the micro usb for Galaxy and aren't using the Type-C adapter (i.e. was intended for N7).

Suspect there are many Gear VR owners using the micro usb for Galaxy and aren't using the Type-C adapter (i.e. was intended for N7).
Its the one on the left in this picture.

Melejura, are you still needing the Micro USB connector for the Gear VR? I have that one and need the C. Still want to trade? Just let me know!
FYI, The Gear VR software blocks the note 7 unless theres a way around this I havent seen..

Kevinb9119, It's not for the Note 7. The new S8s also use a USB C Connector. I'm kinda thinking it's a conspiracy to force purchase of the newest VR. Not cool, not happy.
I also need the Type C. I have The Micro USB and will trade
I am interested in this trade

Apparently the S8 will fit but not Well with the 2016 USB c adapter, BUT if you get a replacement USB C adapter from the 2017 model, it will fit on the 2016 and then the S8 works works fine. (But they are $30 w/ ship on eBay...), I plan to study the pictures on eBay of the two and carve some of the bottom inside edge of my 2016 adapter...
