G3 Sim Card Swap - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Hi everyone,
Got a question. If I put the sim card from my Verizon GS3 into a GNote 2 will the Note 2 work right away? The reason I'm asking is I want to know before buying this guys Note 2 to make sure that's it's a clean ESN. Anyone have any experience with this? Thanks!!

Yes it will. Im using my girls gs3 because she wanted to try out my DNA. All you do is swap sim cards and power them back on. No help from Verizon needed or *228 like in the old 3g and 1x days :l

Don't *228 a 4G phone. It will kill the SIM card. Ask me how I know.

VZW Xoom Still Needs 4G LTE Upgrade - How?

Hello,
I have a 3G Motorola Xoom on Verizon and I never sent it out earlier this year for the 4G LTE upgrade. I have called Motorola and Verizon on multiple counts begging for some help because I really want the upgrade. The tablet would be much nicer with 4G. Any ideas on how I can get the update at this late date? Thanks!
Only person I have heard of actually talking them into the upgrade was from this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=29351203. Obviously he had to pay for it, but he might be able to help you ask the right question.

Yes.
I'd wait until you know you don't have a lemon before you do anything non-stock to it.
That's a good point thanks

[Q] Sprint to Verizon?

I've seen some threads that are close, but I wanted to know if I can flash my GS3 from Sprint for use on the Verizon network? I'm not trying anything shady, it's just that Sprint's network has me about at my end, and I was given a demo S3, and man, it's not even close.
So, I have an S3, with no outstanding contract from Sprint, can I use it with a new account on Verizon? Just trying to avoid ending up with a Sprint GS3...
Thanks

Don't worry about it. Sell the sprint one and use that money to buy you a brand new s3 or better. S3 will be free for black Friday. If you want to sell the s3 its going for about 300-400 in perfect shape. 200+ used.

One thing I will tell you is that moving to verizon is the best decision you will ever make. Whatever money you lose by selling the sprint gs3 and getting the verizon one is sooooooo worth it. Words cannot describe. I was a Sprint customer for 10 yrs...

+1 I hated Sprint. Cancelled within months. Went to Verizon and couldn't be happier.

I just recently opened a Verizon account and got 2 GS3s and waiting until my wife's contract to be up on 11/25 to finally get off this garbage Sprint network. My line is down to a $50 ETF, I'm paying it because I am not willing to stay on any longer on this snail pace 3G and non existent 4G Wimax/4G LTE in my area. Now I'm on Verizon and they have 4G LTE everywhere!
I had Verizon. Hated them. Ive had all 4 major carriers and sprint is still my favorite.

sch I535 with straight talk?

Hello, Im a rookie here, I cant seem to find a clear answer without having PRO DEV skills. All I want to know is, can I use my verizon galaxy s3 with straight talk gsm service in the united states? I realize it is a CDMA phone, but if im not mistaken it has a GSM radio in it. I read somewhere all I needed to do was download an app called "phone status" and change the settings to wcdma and insert a att sim card in. That seems too easy and I dont want to go blow $100 on a sim chip and phone card for nothing. Thanks in advance for any insight!
Verizon hasn't unlocked it yet for use on other networks. Jellybean leaks include the option in settings though. I'm not sure if it works

Yes and no. It depends on the market you are signing up in. GSM coverage is **** where iI live so all of the straightTalk phones here are CDMA.
It all really depends on what carrier they partnered with in your area.

SCH-I535 flash to Straight talk?
I have a Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 can it be flashed to Straight Talk? I keep getting a sim card error. I try switching sims only find it doing the same thing. So I really dont want to use the sim card method. Can I just use a straight talk donor phone that I already have and use the info on the straight talk donor in the s3?

SWITCH USCC gs3 to Verizon gs3

So US Cellular is done in Chicago and I refuse to purchase another phone if I can change over with my current one.
I am already rooted and wondering what I would need to do attempt to get the cmda to recognize Verizon. PLEASE HELP!
Sent from my SCH-R530U using xda app-developers app
Surely changing the cmda can't be too difficult.

not sure if its still in effeect but didnt verizon "open" their network?
shouldnt you be able to call them and they might help you?
not sure if this situation applies but id try that
Well I'm not sure if I can activate my phone because it's currently in service with US Cellular and I don't have a second phone to swap temporarily while I test.
Currently I can goto Verizon's Activation website entered my IMEID and it says not compatible. Could be not possible but eternally everything should be the same minus the LTE capabilities. There may be
another way but I can't find my box with my ESN on it.
