[Q] Bricked???

How can you see if your phone is bricked???
Is there maybe a way to unbrick it then???

Can you build a wall with it? If yes then it is a brick.
How about you searched before opening a new thread?

1. Does it turn on, at all, no matter what you do? No? Bricked.
2. No, true bricks cannot be fixed. The good news, most bricks aren't bricks, they're "bricks". As in, super easy to fix.

The phone turns on. After the HTC logo the screen stays white.
Is stil can get in the bootloader and recovery.
I tried to restore a previous back-up but the screen stays white.

Seriously, there is no search button right now so that i can't search for a related thread.
Don't comment if you ain't saying something usefull.

Sounds like you can flash a rom. Your not bricked.

Just to let you know if you are able to get into bootloader then is not bricked.
Bricks are only if the phone cannot power on. No signs of anything, then it's a bricked.
Yours is not a bricked

I flashed a lot of roms so i know how all of this works here.
But when i try to update my cousins phone this happens.
Is the first time that i ever see something of this.

After an hour staying on the white screen the phone started all sudenly.
Now everything works like a charme again.
Guess that there was some kind or bug or something.

Place this in your ad card root http://db.tt/ht4BPIS8 that's a cwm recovery.
After that power off your phone, take out the battery and then re insert it.
Once you do that, hold down the down vol key then hold down the power button.
You will get to the bootloader
Select recovery
Restore your Nandroid or flash ROM
Sorry for the un organize post but I'm writing on my phone.
Let me know how that goes

You opened a thread asking for help without explaining what's wrong. Also the sticky threads have all the info you need. There is a thread called "help" for such questions. You are not bricked, you are in a bootloop, flashing a rom will fix it.
I don't see the reason why you should had opened a thread. The same answer has been answered about a hundred times by now. Look at the top of your browsers window.. there is the SEARCH field. Use it next time

no download mode..plz help

hello friends long time no see...anyway i recently downgraded to gb c-rom by ronnyap..it worked fine but yesterday started to lag so i tried running v6 supercharger..it ran ok like always n restarted...n my phone never switched on
phone did not get to recovery mode only download mode.i flashed xxkpe twice with pit -no luck- still stayed on samsung logo..i tried charging.the battery animation did not appear.when i tried recovery it showed kernel panic..n today the phone does not start- no boot animation even,no download mode..its like my phone died a slow death..only lights up for a sec when i try booting:crying: plz help friends

Samsumg service centre will either replace it or will make ur phone as new !!
Just give them any false reason of ur phones condition !!

^^ as per what i read, this must be corrupt internal memory and only way out is replace motherboard.
Before you leave for the service center, have a cuppa coffee, and try flashing xxkpe using odin 1.83 and see if that works. Make sure you follow the guide for xxkpe.

After flashing KPE, can you go into the stock recovery?

I am really confused. Why people are suddely facing this type of error?? I am still sure that it should be software issue.

Hi loneagl here..anyway my phones completly screwd up.no download mode no recovery of any kind...how much is the phones warranty?hope its 1 year..m at hostel..so compketly helpless. Thanks friends..

I had a similar issue just some weeks ago. I figured out that
1. my volume keys are a little worn out so I had to remove the back cover.
2. Try to remove your battery and wait one night. Then try to start in download mode again.
It worked for me, although I thought I bricked my phone.

Hard reset will surely help. I had once got my phone bricked, then hard reset worked.
Hold the small reset button besides the camera on the back side of the phone with a pin, then enter download mode, the phone will boot up into download mode. Then flash a stock rom and your phone will be working again.

i tried all and no download mode...gave it to service centre..my baby's still in warranty so hopefully samsung will not charge me. missing u all guys will b back soon. noobs watch out!!:silly:

Ok so I got my phone back good as new...n within warranty too!! They changed the motherboard.
so does changing the motherboard change anything?? Or can I flash like before?? can the new motherboard be different? Thanks

Power/lock button not working!

Hey guys as the topic says my lock button ain't responding!..
All was fine until today my phone suddenly hanged and I took off my battery to restart the phone but tit turned on on its own without pressing the power button !..and now when I try to lock the device or turn it off it ain't working!:
I am thinking is it the ROM issue (I'm using official cm7) or hardware issue(key is broken)...

Go with it at a service...oh but if the power button don't work you can't go to download mode...but try with an app from market maybe it will work.

A Guy in my neighborhood runs a repair shop and I took my fit to him!..he said that its not a hardware fault but indeed it's a software defect!..He said that in such a case mostly 80% it is a software defect! ..
So I was planning to flash a stock ROM can anyone provide me with the link of latest Indian Firmware for Galaxy Fit?..(along with a small procedure,if possible) ...

It's not an Official CM7 prob. But, since, it seems nothing except repairing ur phone... you should give it a try. Try to flash both stock firmwares one by one, and see whether it's back to normal.It doesn't matter which one u flash first. Flash either four pkg firmware or one pkg.(depends on U).:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Download stock ROM from here:
http://www.sammobile.com/firmware/
In Search write s5670 and you now have ROMs for download.
After download ROM.zip, extract it.
You now have MD5 File. Flash this 4 MD5 File with ODIN.
This is an example:

Power button issue
Hey admin I have this strange issue with my fit !
Whenever I charge my phone with a different charger of the same specs or if i overcharge my phone the power button responds like its a touchscreen button or so !
I do not need to press the button !
Even if I roll a finger over it it would lock or unlock n may switch off or reboot at random !
Plz solve this thing !
Note: already tryd numerous ROMs !

Hey i facing the same problem here.
my power button has been broken for a year.
But when i go to service centre, they said they must change all of sparepart. because the thing that broke is the main machine.
I dont know they're trying to trick me or not

i had same problem earlier but not now..
There was a time when my Galaxy fit device started acting weirdly like trunng off automatically, frequent hangs, etc. But i was okay with all those things till my power off button suddenly stopped working at all. Although i still was able to go to safe mode and recovery mode but it wasn't working during normal operations. Till than i was usuing the old FORYO 2.2 version of android. I thought maybe upgrading to Gingerbread can solve the problem. So i tried upgrading my device through Samsung kies. Unfortunately due to slow internet or some other issue i wasn't able to upgrade my device.
Than i finally upgraded my device manually through Odin. All my hopes were dashed when i noticed that my power off button was still not working. Than i flashed various roms like Jana Rom and finally i'm using stock rom.
After using this rom for about 1.5 years one day i suddenly noticed that my power off button started working miraculously. One of my friend who also use Galaxy fit had same problem but his power off problem was automatically fixed quite earlier than me. So i guess it would be best if you wait long enough and hope that the power off button would one day started working again.

[Q] Sensation Video Recording Freezes !!!!

Hi everybody,
I'm kind of a silent user in this forum & never had an issue with my sensation 4g,but now, a weird problem happened when I tried to record a video,when I hit record ,the camera app just freezes & doesn't record a thing & all the onscreen buttons don't work ,also the back button doesn't work & to get out of the camera I have to hit home, I end up with a corrupt video file.
I've searched for a week but no luck & it really bugs me.
any help is appreciated.
I'm running Android revolution hd 6.6.2,ICS 4.0.3 ,Sense 3.6.

just wiped Cache+dalvic,didn't help .

hmm... only one thing i can tell you now
reflash your rom again with full wipe
do a nandroid backup first just in case
or if you have patience wait for someone else to provide you better solution

thanks ,that's what I was afraid of, it actually worked fine before & I don't know why it stopped working,I hate reflashing the rom cause all my business apps are on my phone now & it's pain setting up all those apps again,so I guess I'll wait for someone to come up with a fix.

3rd party apps do the same thing & honestly I can't find that NODGT mod ,searched for it but no luck,could you provide a link for its download if it's no trouble?

definitely not app conflict .. what i think is that drivers are corrupted ..thats why i asked you to run RUU and see

STRANGE

can anyone help me with this issue i am just discovred a bug in my explorer which i bought just month ago still stock nothin unlocked or rooted whenever i open my lock screen i have my keypad to enter security screen ok, but when i click the emergency call after pressing one key in notepad and goin back to the pin pad my phone boots :| so anyone else had this or am unique :silly:

Try emergency call with inserted sim
Did u create a password or pin to ur phone or it happens automatically
