Phone keeps resetting - LG Optimus 3D

Im having a problem.
I had to restore my phone. But now whenever the phone reboots, it's like it resets, IE like I've just done a data wipe. So I have to continually setup the phone (google account and all) whenever it reboots).
Tried flashing back to generic rom, same problem.
Tried blacking CM7.2, CM logo just keeps looping.
Tried unofficial CM10, gets in, but the screen goes black after a min or so. But installing CM10 did give me one clue the others didnt, it gave me a message saying the SD card is damaged and needs to be formatted.
I can still read and backup the SD card fine. Could this really be the problem or something else?
Also, I do have a nandroid backup, but it's getting a MD5 error, which I could fix, if I could root the device, which requires a reboot, but then the device resets.
Thanks!

And what new firmware do you suggest? I've been using BOOTV21E_AP is there another one you suggest?
Also this is my girlfriends phone so I'm not up to date with all this phone's dev.
Where do I get Bernie's bootloader?

I think the easyest way to recover the phone is by using LG's official Update Tool:
http://www.lg.com/pt/suporte-telemovel/lg-LGP920
Select your country and phone model. This software has the "recover phone" option, which will install the latest stock rom for your country.
If you want to skip the stock rom and install a custom or ICS rom you will need to flash the bernies files, which you can find here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1971014.

If you flash Bernies files with ICS get ready for a brick.

Tried to update my G2x to the pre-alpha jellybean but now I keep rebooting into CWM

Upon trying to flash the new rom via the built-in aroma installer, something seems to have gone awry, and now I can't get anything to boot. Perpetual CWM.
I tried:
factory data reset via CWM recover
formatting cache
formatting system
I even went as far as to formatting my SD card to rule out the possibility of bad sectors..
Nothing is working...SOS :crying:

Are you referring to the Eagles Blood pre alpha? If so, did you follow their instructions to the t? I would suggest trying that again.
If that still doesn't work you may need to try flashing CWM again, or maybe using the G2x Batch Cleanup Tool to rewrite your partitions and starting from scratch

Essentially, it cleans your phone to a blank state (to put it very simply). Once it's finished cleaning, it flashes CWM. Then, you can use CWM to flash a ROM.
So, yes, it means no rom at first.
So what you need to do is put whatever ROM you want (as well as any additional files the dev says to use: Gapps, baseband fix, etc...) on your SD card, use the Batch Cleanup tool, then flash the ROM in CWM.
Remember, if you're using an Android 4.+ ROM (CM9, ICS, JB, etc...), you need to flash any GB-based ROM (CM7, Hellfire Phoenix, etc...) first, then flash the new ROM.
Also, here's the link to the Batch Cleanup tool's forum: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1590523

Ok so I've plugged my phone into the computer and the APX drivers aren't installing nor am I able to find them via windows update. Any suggestions?
Make sure you're putting the phone into apx mode. You should have the battery out and holding both power buttons down then plug in your USB cable.
Better yet here are the exact instructions: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1566681
As well, have you tried to flash any other ROM or kernel since that? You may want to flash a ROM then flash say, Faux' kernel, it uses a different method of writing the boot.img and may solve your problem. On a hunch I am thinking you're boot partition may be partly corrupt.

Hello,
I've just rooted my phone and got cwm recovery, but I just tried to flash CM10 and I got no phone signal, what should I do now? I've read the tutorial of flashing another kdz file.
Here is my phone's information: stock gb rom v21e, rooted, with cwm recovery installed by rom manager.
Million thanks!

No, i dont think that is his problem. Bernies files are for those who have been on ics. He obviously has not.
You should instead flash another baseband. I know ricardo says it isnt baseband related but it is. My cm10 was fine on 21a baseband and then i flashed 21e and the phone got no signal and rebooted all the time.
Try to flash baseband 18a.fls as that seems to work for most of us with lg flashtool
That is not true. There are a lot of us who have never been to ics and still had to flash bernie's files. After flashing bernie's files you can use any baseband. (I'm using v21e).
So just flash bernies files and you're good to go.

This bernie's files gives headache , you can't find place where to download it, all the link they post in here is dead end,it sound so difficult on how to use it, there is no steps on how to use it ,so there is no other method to get ICS or CM10 to work on your phone without bernie's files?
Just a question, , what is the diffrence between berni's files and rebooter files ??(in the resurrection guide) . I used bernis's files to downgrade and rebooter files to downgrade . They are the loaders and I'm sure they are the same ,, but rebooter is much easier and the files within it .

Thanks for your help and I'm really successful. I've got 21a now and CM10 on my phone now.
One of my friend told me I have to use wkpark's tool (uboot/omap4boot) and I googled it. Here's what I done and I know that's stupid but I wish someone could help because my phone should be bricked now.
First I got 21a flashed on my phone.
I flashed cm10 and gapps.
Then my friend told me about wkpark's tool.
I googled it and downloaded, then when that tool asks fastboot device? I chose N and replaced the two image to my phone.
What happened now is, once I turn my phone on it shows up a LG logo with a little word 'fastboot v0.5' on top, my phone do nothing now.
Could someone provide help? Million thanks!

[HELP] bugs found on ViperOneS v2.0

I've just flashed the ViperOneS v2.0 from v1.2.1 yesterday, I've followed all the instruction from the thread. After flashing the Rom, it keeps showing "Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped." I tried to send a bug report through the Venom Hub app, but it keeps telling the there is a error and it is unable to send the report. Can anyone tell me how to fix it?

re-download rom and check md5
did you flash boot image per instructions, if under .13 hboot you may be able to flash just the rom and no need to fastboot boot image
but, you need to wipe all including system in recovery 2X and not in aroma. i have my best luck that way
also try a full rom install as opposed to custom, if you did a custom

my hboot is 1.13 and I did factory twice before flashing the rom, I'll try it again anyway. thanks for your help
I also experienced force close on certain app, is there any solution for it?
I've tried to wipe all the stuff and reinstall the rom, but the problem still exists. Is there any other solution for it? I can't even manage my contacts , whenever I want to link ny contacts, it force closes by itself.

I tried wiping all the stuffs twice, but the problem still exists
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
also on fc's clear apps data for tweaks and hub
redo it all again, but this time wipe sdcard first. of course back card up before wiping, just don't restore. i think new rom flash will repopulate what must be there like android secure and a couple others. someone can confirm that.
if it don't work you may want to go back to stock and start over
Is it necessary to wipe the sd card also? btw, I've lost the 3G connection after flashing the rom, I can only connect to the GSM network and when I switch to WCDMA only in my network setting, my phone shows no service is available. Is it the problem of the radio?
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
i can use any radio and have no issues
start over with a fresh flash of 2.1 the upgarde manually
don't have to wipe sdcard
but if you start over with full wipe 3x including system. and reformat your sdcard before doing all that. it only leaves your phone. not all phones work well on all roms.
best to fastboot boot image
don't wipe in recovery and aroma, just aroma
don't use twrp 2.4.3.0, or what ever number is for latest--leaving work so kinda in hurry
after you boot first time, reboot and clear caches and boot back into os
claer data on tweaks and hub apk's
not saying you need to do all this, it just eliminates everything but your phone
anyway--good luck
I got the same problem and just reflashed everything and it worked.
I tried reflashing everything but the problem still exists

Strange TWRP problem, no OS detected etc. Boots fine to stock

I ran the causal root applet on a new SG3 on 4.1.2. Ran root, the unlock script and installed TWRP. Booted into recovery and I got the error for a locked bootloader. I used download mode to get back to the stock rom and then used E-Z unlock to unlock the bootloader. Was able to boot into recovery this time but TWRP read internal and external memory as 0mb, unable to make a backup, and gave a no OS error when went to reboot. I updated TWRP with TWRP manager but the problems are still persistent. Phone boots fine and reboots fine at the moment.
I'm not sure what to do now though. I'm at the point were I don't care if I get stuck with the OTA update but I'm afraid that will brick the phone. I'm not sure what went wrong with TWRP, since this is the second S3 I've rooted.
Any sugestions? I'm afraid to use odin or try anything else since the phone currently works fine. But I'd prefer to not have to sleep in fear it might force the OTA update while I'm asleep and wake up to a bricked phone.
I tried searching, the best I could find is that newer versions of TWRP can't read the memory on a 4.1.2 rom, but the problems were there when I originally started with the recommended version.
Thanks for any help anyone can give.
Try to use cwm or philz and see if you have the same issue.

Can you install a different custom recovery over one using the causal applet? I was planning on trying to reinstall TWRP but I wasn't sure if I had to do it a certain way like through odin or Using the unified tool kit?
Thanks for the help so far!

No.
Download latest philz touch recovery d2lte zip, then flash it in recovery, then reboot recovery.
Then check and see if you're getting a similar error message.

OK.
Then download the Odin version and flash through that. Then boot the phone into recovery.
Or download ez recovery, and the latest cwm image file, and flash through that from your rom.

I tried CWM and the stock recovery through EZ, both gave the same error as TWRP, unable to mount /
I'm really confused as to whats wrong. At this point I don't care if I get stuck with the OTA 4.3, but I don't want to try to update it with the recovery still not reading either my SD cards.
Any Ideas?
Are you sure of your phone model? I believe it puts it on the screen in download mode and also on a sticker under the battery. I'm mostly curious because you mention that this is a new phone with 4.1.2. Are you trying older versions of cwm as well?

I'm pretty sure, has all the verizon bloat and logos, also I'm pretty sure the causal applet bricks the international ones. I don't remember the version of twrp that the causal script flashed, but I tried that one, the most recent one, and 2.5 i think from EZ recovery. The stock recovery from EZ has the same issue now though which is what really confuses me. at the moment I have root dissabled and the bootloader is locked and its back with the stock recovery, it still says custom when i reboot the phone though.
