[ROM][Port][4.1.2] PacMan Rom v18.0.0 Build-3 - Epic 4G Android Development

PacMan Rom v18.0.0 Build-3
This ROM is a mixture of Paranoid Android, AOKP, and Cyanogen Mod. Features from all three of these ROMs in one ROM. How much better can it get?
Warning... This ron runs the ns4g nitest kernel. You must be on ns4g modem to get data. If you decide to flash, i am not responsible for anything you mess up because you are a noob. If you have questions ask before you flash. If your phone becomes too sexy...not a problem, girls will love your swag...
If you are not currently running the ns4g modem, you can get one of the modem flashables here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1077168
Or flash the latest cm10 AIO ns4g patch located in the ns4g AIO modem patch thread located in our development forum before flashing the ROM. May need to reboot to recovery and flash a second time to get modem to stick. Then flash as normal. ROM, gapps, inverted gapps.

Will give it a go, was trying to port jellybam, and had similar problems with paranoid settings. You can try (not sure how successfully it will be) to pull the paranoid.apk from /apps, and the paranoid folder from /etc from the paranoid port we have and put it into your port... worth a shot...

Re: [ROM][Port] PacMan Rom v18.0.0 4.1.2
So.... What version of Android is this ROM? (v4.1.2 or v4.2.1)
Also, can you upload better screenshots? At least via my N7 using both Tapa talk & Chrome, the pics are completely unclear.
Ninja edit:
Even though you have that lovely NS4G modem disclaimer/warning, you should at least provide the modem flashable file or link to that thread's OP with the file and flashing directions. Ya know, considering having that modem is a requirement to use data on this ROM.

MROM-d2vzw [4.2.2][LINARO][CM10.1][3.4.63] build:20131002

Introducing MROM-d2vzw. Custom ROM for the Samsung Galaxy S III (Verizon Wireless)
Free Yourself and Feel the Difference
This is my attempt to build a stable, complete, and fully functional custom ROM for the Samsung Galaxy S III completely built from source code; MROM-d2vzw is built on top of Cyanogen ROM latest 4.2.2 (cm-10.1) source code, branched kernel, and my own blend of proprietary drivers. I recompiled all components to guarantee maximum efficiency and performance. Along the way, I realized that I needed things to work different for the d2vzw, so I also made some changes. If you like my work, consider a donation to my cause.
BUILT FROM SOURCE PROOF https://github.com/MROM. Every developer should provide proof that he is building from source.
MROM-d2vzw is entirely build from source. You will see the difference when you run it. Just to list a few features:
Entire ROM and Kernel are compiled and optimized with Linaro toolchain 4.7
Superior Performance. (User benchmarks have reported excellent performance)
Latest Kernel 3.4.x (http://www.kernel.org)
Fast Boot time
Multi-User Enabled
Excellent battery life
Contains all the most common tweaks
QuickPic gallery application
While I tried to maintain the main core small, size is not the main focus.
Few user comments:
Oleschuldad: this has been much more reliable then the other 4.2.2 roms I've flashed, no random reboots, no lags, or a2dp problems....
CQCmaster: The best Rom in terms of performance and battery life and stability.
JoeSchmoe22: I am happy to report that the BATTERY LIFE IS AMAZING!!! I am a heavy user and now my phone lasts all day! Also, the Rom is totally stable!
draco259: Maybe you need to add some bugs to get more comments
1heffer: This thing is rock solid, simple, beautiful, and FAST.
jimmur: I have tried a number of different ROM's and this one is the absolute best.
Suggestions are always welcome!!! After all, this is your ROM and I will try to include requested features when possible.

Loving the orange theme..so far only bugs I can find is GPS works, but you have to toggle it on and off for each app..then it locks..haven't tried it on the road yet. Wifi tether works on open only..with no password, and Facebook contact pics not syncing.. Will keep it going for a bit..has a nice feel.

Can you reproduce and submit a logcat? This will help a lot in thoubleshooting, as fas as the kernel, any CM10.1 kernel should work, however, I am working on optimizing the kernel with additional config settings...

This ROM is based on jmztaylor's CM10 ROM located here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1785498
It is still in it's infancy, but I like what I have done so far... enough to release it. I DO NOT OWN AN EVO. This is a port from my EVO Shift ROM which is a port from my E4GT 4.2 ROM. I will try to help out where I can but anybody here can use any of my work to do what you will, whether it is bits and pieces or optimizing the ROM for this device. Go for it! Just send me a PM. It's my way of giving back to this great community. this is also why there are so many things in the EXTRAS section, because it is hard for me to implement them into a ROM for a device I don't have... Thanks for understanding.

Great so far
The ROM is running great so far. Real smooth and I love the quick settings tab on the launcher! I am having trouble getting A2SD to work though. I'm assuming it's because I had already booted the ROM w/ GAPPS before flashing A2SD?

About:
This is an unofficial fully compiled from source upload of SlimBean, SlimBean is based off CM10 with mods and additions of their own. Designed to give the look and feel of a really small and minimalistic rom with TONS or custom features that allow you to make it truely your own. This is one of my favorite roms and I think it will be one of your favorite ROMs.
Not Working:
Auto-Brightness (will fix ASAP)
How To Install:
Download ROM
Place ROM on SD card
Reboot into Recovery
Wipe system/data/dalvick cache/cache
Install "slim-x.xx-ville.evol4g.zip"
Install slim add-ons HERE
Install bubba kernel v-x.xx (or custom kernel)
Wipe cache once more
reboot
PROFIT!!
STOP!!!!!
If you download this ROM make sure you say "THANKS" and try to participate in the thread even if it's "this rom sucks because ____"
also please always perform a FULL wipe for each update UNLESS I STATE OTHERWISE, and I WILL state whether or not you can or cannot simply wipe cache or dalvik cache or not so don't ask a million times.. thank you

This is by default on CM10.1. There is a "Advanced reboot" setting in developer settings somewhere you have to enable to get the reboot menu back.
Re: [ROM][D.I.R.T] UNOFFICIAL SlimBean [4.2.2]
OK never had to fix permissions for gapps before or alter boot menu has cm10 is a standard 3 boot menu with restart recovery and power down I thought..anyways thanks btw sorted now

As far as altering the boot menu goes, that is definitely something new to the CM10.1 base, I was missing the reboot into recovery power menu option after upgrading from CM10 to CM10.1 via the built-in cmupdater... Overall I really like CM10.1 but it DOES lack the smoothness that CM10 had in the later builds. I'm just about to take Liquidrom for a test drive and if I'm not crazy about that then maybe ill pop back in here and try DIRT! Thanks for everything's devs, you guys all rock!!!

I think so I don't know the effects of Linaro Toolchain. I would have used stock cm-10.1 but it lacked tweaks. I am also getting cyanogenmod sources to build a kernel and RemICSJB so I could make a stock cm-10.1 kernel as well so people can flash it.
Easier to unzip it and put boot image in there but I guess its not if you don’t have a PC around

Re: [ROM][4.2.2][AOKP/CM/PA] Epic 4G Vanilla RootBox[4/1/13][Nightly]
When I get home from work I will flash this..........the "breathing messaging" option from the screenshots got my attention
......shall see how this holds up against Effsi 20130330.....which is killer now that it has voodoo sound......not much of a fan of voodoo color or over clock.....my phone is snappy as is...but its good to have it for people who like it or need it....

No. It will only work on the specific build of CM10.1 that it was made for.
Since it requires edits to the framework-res and SystemUI (which have resources with specific ids that other jars and apks are looking for), it will most likely need to be re-made for each different ROM, and each new update to those ROMs.
Or.. the ROM dev could choose to include the mod in their source code (with this patch file maybe..) - then it would be in every build - but I choose not to in PA.. yet. Once I get closer to a final version, the updates will be less frequent and I might get playful with these kinds of mods again.

Because I build based on wang's kexec cm10.1,it don't work because they are different.
This, I realized I installed on sm10.1 not kexec and worked fine. may need a tweak

Not sure what you mean by re-patching but you can simply push to the respective folders using adb SystemUI.apk(to system/app) and framework-res.apk(to system/framework).The apks should be the unmodded one better take it from PAC zip.Or simply copy them using a recovery file manager like this and set permissions.
