MROM-d2vzw [4.2.2][LINARO][CM10.1][3.4.63] build:20131002 - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Introducing MROM-d2vzw. Custom ROM for the Samsung Galaxy S III (Verizon Wireless)
Free Yourself and Feel the Difference
This is my attempt to build a stable, complete, and fully functional custom ROM for the Samsung Galaxy S III completely built from source code; MROM-d2vzw is built on top of Cyanogen ROM latest 4.2.2 (cm-10.1) source code, branched kernel, and my own blend of proprietary drivers. I recompiled all components to guarantee maximum efficiency and performance. Along the way, I realized that I needed things to work different for the d2vzw, so I also made some changes. If you like my work, consider a donation to my cause.
BUILT FROM SOURCE PROOF https://github.com/MROM. Every developer should provide proof that he is building from source.
MROM-d2vzw is entirely build from source. You will see the difference when you run it. Just to list a few features:
Entire ROM and Kernel are compiled and optimized with Linaro toolchain 4.7
Superior Performance. (User benchmarks have reported excellent performance)
Latest Kernel 3.4.x (http://www.kernel.org)
Fast Boot time
Multi-User Enabled
Excellent battery life
Contains all the most common tweaks
QuickPic gallery application
While I tried to maintain the main core small, size is not the main focus.
Few user comments:
Oleschuldad: this has been much more reliable then the other 4.2.2 roms I've flashed, no random reboots, no lags, or a2dp problems....
CQCmaster: The best Rom in terms of performance and battery life and stability.
JoeSchmoe22: I am happy to report that the BATTERY LIFE IS AMAZING!!! I am a heavy user and now my phone lasts all day! Also, the Rom is totally stable!
draco259: Maybe you need to add some bugs to get more comments
1heffer: This thing is rock solid, simple, beautiful, and FAST.
jimmur: I have tried a number of different ROM's and this one is the absolute best.
Suggestions are always welcome!!! After all, this is your ROM and I will try to include requested features when possible.

I'll give this a shot!! I love orange so this looks cool!!!
sent from my blue police box flying through time!!!

very very nice looking rom.

Re: [ROM] MROM-d2vzw [4.2.1][CM10.1] build:20130210
Loving the orange theme..so far only bugs I can find is GPS works, but you have to toggle it on and off for each app..then it locks..haven't tried it on the road yet. Wifi tether works on open only..with no password, and Facebook contact pics not syncing.. Will keep it going for a bit..has a nice feel.

Was cruising along fine..using the launcher that was included..and after about 8 hours all my widgets and just about all the shortcuts disappeared from my home pages.. Really nice theme.. Will try again..is there a different recommended kernel out for this?

Can you reproduce and submit a logcat? This will help a lot in thoubleshooting, as fas as the kernel, any CM10.1 kernel should work, however, I am working on optimizing the kernel with additional config settings...

scar45 said:
Hey Pjay12, and ALL,
I apologize for not keeping everyone informed. As it stands now, the plan is to get a final R3 (ICS) release out, however our repo is currently borked (I know, just before the last ICS release!). We're trying to get it fixed up (remicks is really, he's great with our builds), but hopefully that will happen soon. Afterwards, it's kind of up in the air for what we're going to do with JB. remicks and I have started working on Project FNV, which is a different type of ROM, being built by the community, however there is still a chance that we will make AOKPCB(ean) the way we like it, and keep Project FNV true to it's goal of being a community ROM.
It's obviously a LOT of work to maintain two ROMs, including websites, social media efforts, etc., but we're doing our best. We really love giving back to the community in this way, and it is more than amazing to hear good feedback. At the very least, when Theme Chooser arrives on Jelly Bean ROMs, you'll be able to use my PCB Themes as I will port them over ASAP. Again, I would love to keep AOKPCB going, however the team still has to discuss this past our plans for an R3 ICS release.
Hope that kind of clears the air a bit, and please don't consider this to be a "we're quitting" message. Life is crazy for many people, and lately things are no different for most of our team. We hope you'll understand, and keep watching this thread, the PCB Mini-site, and its RSS feed for future updates!

[ROM][Port][4.1.2] PacMan Rom v18.0.0 Build-3

PacMan Rom v18.0.0 Build-3
This ROM is a mixture of Paranoid Android, AOKP, and Cyanogen Mod. Features from all three of these ROMs in one ROM. How much better can it get?
Warning... This ron runs the ns4g nitest kernel. You must be on ns4g modem to get data. If you decide to flash, i am not responsible for anything you mess up because you are a noob. If you have questions ask before you flash. If your phone becomes too sexy...not a problem, girls will love your swag...
If you are not currently running the ns4g modem, you can get one of the modem flashables here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1077168
Or flash the latest cm10 AIO ns4g patch located in the ns4g AIO modem patch thread located in our development forum before flashing the ROM. May need to reboot to recovery and flash a second time to get modem to stick. Then flash as normal. ROM, gapps, inverted gapps.

Will give it a go, was trying to port jellybam, and had similar problems with paranoid settings. You can try (not sure how successfully it will be) to pull the paranoid.apk from /apps, and the paranoid folder from /etc from the paranoid port we have and put it into your port... worth a shot...

So.... What version of Android is this ROM? (v4.1.2 or v4.2.1)
Also, can you upload better screenshots? At least via my N7 using both Tapa talk & Chrome, the pics are completely unclear.
Ninja edit:
Even though you have that lovely NS4G modem disclaimer/warning, you should at least provide the modem flashable file or link to that thread's OP with the file and flashing directions. Ya know, considering having that modem is a requirement to use data on this ROM.

Stock JB AOSP appearance pack*
For those of you who do not want a fully inverted dark UI I have created a package that will revert back to the white/non-inverted counterparts for a stock JB AOSP experience
-Gmail, Talk, MMS, Holo backgrounds/menus, Voice, Play Store, Google Now, Calendar, Email
Stock JB pack: http://d-h.st/Uti
*Due to the nature of inverted apps you may need to clear app data on the above non-inverted apps if you experience force closes. For best results flash this package on a fresh install (data wipe/factory reset) after the main rom is flashed in recovery.

Nitro has had an eclipse Rom out for the s3 for a few months now. Just saying.
Will definitely be giving this rom a try.
Thanks!
Edit- Nitro, you posted at the same time I was trying to give you props. HaHa. Love your work on the Droid x2. A pain in the ass phone.
Can we get the stock camera for this as well....?
Or do you already have it built in the rom, with the aosp icon?

Didn't intend any negative. Just wanted people to know that Nitro has had a very solid Rom for the S3 out for awhile. Good to see an update.

Tthe only thing that i see as far as theme issues is the Task Manager is still TW theming, just incase you didn't see it.

Probably not. Eclipse has a dark aosp feel. Sobif you don't really like that then you might want to look for something else.

OK, I'm not a fan of AOSP themed TW roms because they usually look horrible but this looks sick, like actual AOSP. nice job man!

This ROM is based on jmztaylor's CM10 ROM located here:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1785498
It is still in it's infancy, but I like what I have done so far... enough to release it. I DO NOT OWN AN EVO. This is a port from my EVO Shift ROM which is a port from my E4GT 4.2 ROM. I will try to help out where I can but anybody here can use any of my work to do what you will, whether it is bits and pieces or optimizing the ROM for this device. Go for it! Just send me a PM. It's my way of giving back to this great community. this is also why there are so many things in the EXTRAS section, because it is hard for me to implement them into a ROM for a device I don't have... Thanks for understanding.

Great so far
The ROM is running great so far. Real smooth and I love the quick settings tab on the launcher! I am having trouble getting A2SD to work though. I'm assuming it's because I had already booted the ROM w/ GAPPS before flashing A2SD?
