While video recording it lags a lot and sometimes it crashes.
Please tell me what more information you need, i will try to provide...
It depends on your resolution, if you're running at 720p it will be a little bit laggy but it sounds like it's a problem with the ROM's you're using. What JB rom's have you tried so far because I'm running PACman and it's ok
I have tried Andromadus CM 10.1 Build 10,11 and 12. All the three roms have same problem.
I will be OK with a little bit of lagging but it lags a lot. Sometimes the recorded video is good and sometimes the recorded video also gets recorded with lags.
Try something like PACman which is what I use, I haven't had any problem so far...

I want one Jellybean based with amazing battery life and and that I can change the function of the hardware buttons (so I can set the app manager to the menu key and long hold the app manager to open up the app switcher.) I would like one with good battery life (Cyanogenmod so far has been dying on me quick). Thanks.

BAKED BlackBean and AOKP are good roms.
Could you please specify what's buggy about CM10? And are you sure the poor battery life doesn't simply have to do with the large amount of whites in the interface of AOSP in comparison to Sense?
All cm10 based ROMs have the video Recording mic bug. That's the only thing that keeps me from using cm10 based ROMs.
Baked has the best battery life I've seen so far. I've used everything but paranoid android for an extended period of time.

I used ParanoidAndroid for a while, which is a very nice, smooth running ROM with a good battery life.
As Klin moved to Baked, I followed him and i do not regret Baked is even smoother, nicer and has a better battery life. Simply a great ROM!! :good:
Buggy? CM10 is as stable as any ROM I've ever used. It's been my DD since before it was even officially supported. If you think it's buggy, then the opinions of others really aren't going to sway you, so try them all and pick the one you think as the least "bugs".
Well if this is in comparison to Sense based ROMs, then any jelly bean ROM will feel buggy, as they're all aosp based and all still are wip.

I wouldn't call CM10 "wip", it's called stable now. I assume that means that it's done, basically
Also, even the vanilla Sense rom isn't perfectly stable for me, there are a few annoying bugs, for example getting stuck in airplane mode.
But then again, I haven't got the chance to actually try CM10 yet, so I should probably wait until then before I claim anything

I ended up using 2GB of data for some reason. I looked and wifi disables itself and cannot be renabled unless i reboot. I boot up an app and my screen goes to some static like stuff and then finally boots up the app (which isn't that much of a problem) but the Data issue is really something I would like to fix because I have autoupdate apps on.

I don't know about the mic but what kept me going back from CM to Sense roms is that it would not record videos on 720p or 1080p. It would save them sometimes and when you try to open them, cannot play, and deletes them. Also, the camera focus does not seem to compare to Sense camera, the latter is miles ahead. Seems to be because htc has not released the code for the camera yet.
Gaming seem smoother on CM though, and the interface is smoother/faster than Sense for me. But not being able to use well this great camera is a pity.
Maybe you need to try another baseband? It worked ok for me with the stock from TMOUS 1.53, up to the latest one from OTAs. Also works with the recommended radio from this page: http://ville.giev.de/?page_id=42
Hi, I'm experiencing serious problems if I install a Jelly Bean based rom on my Sensation 4g (TMOUS). Although the other party can hear me clearly, I can't hear them, but the sound is lagging, distorted or there is no sound at all. I only experience this on calls (both by cell network and by VOIP apps). If I'm using a headset the problems are gone. Media plays back fine too.
All problems disappear if I install an ICS rom (currently Revolution).
Does anybody else experience similar problems or know a fix?
I'm using jelly bean paranoid Android by Dragun Korr and my calls are all clear. Perhaps this is rom related. The issue could lie in the rom itself. Have you tried other jelly bean roms to test and see if it's that particular rom that's causing the issue? I would experiment and see if call quality returns with a different jelly bean rom. If after installing a different rom, the issue still persists then you will know this is device related. Do some experimenting and see. It's likely that once you flash a different jelly bean rom, the issue will disappear.. but do some experimenting and see. It's strange because on different jelly bean roms my data had terrible issues, once I flashed this jelly bean rom those issues went away. So do try another jb rom and see if the issue is still present or fixed. Best wishes.

realsis, thanks a lot for pointing this out - I've already tried different JB roms, but I gather they were all based on Bruce's CM10 version... I've installed ParanoidDragün now, and call quality is flawless again
I'm still curious why I had those issues with Bruce's Kang and similar roms, as nobody else seems to run into this issue... I've already tried different radios and firmwares, but nothing helped.
Guess I'll just have to avoid this rom, although I really like it (ParanoidDragün seems nice too though).
Anyway I'm happy now realsis, thanks a lot
Your welcome, you know I was also wondering the very same question. I have terrible trouble with the Cm roms myself. I thought I was the only one? I can't receive data on anyone of them. I'm so glad you got your issue fixed! I've never had any trouble myself with paranoid Android. I'm using kernel 3.0.53 and battery life is wonderful! Data is strong and calls are clear. There must be something in Cm that's messing with our data quality. For me, I had no data at all so, yes it's very strange that some can run it without issue, while others like you and I can not.. well, I'm very happy you are able to run jelly bean now without problems! Take care

Hey guys. i´ve been on ViperS a while and I really like it. Except that taking pictures/videos doesn´t work on V. 1.4.1. I read somewhere that this has to do with the libs used to enable HDMI(if that´s wrong I´m sorry, not a dev).
Then I tried the new Elegancia Sense 4.1 3.0 Rom. Taking pictures works here but when flash is used the phone turns off and the photo wasn´t taken.
Are these 2 cases rom mistakes or is something broken?
Thanks in advance.
Not sure about those roms but camera both front facing and regular are working perfectly with the new pac man rom. I can confirm this. You should give this rom a try. It's fast, smooth as silk and has a great battery life. It's probably something in there roms causing the f.C. but if you download pac man and the camera doesn't work, then likely it's your device causing the problem. I confirm that the camera IS working on this rom. Do some experiencing and download pac man and see if it's working. If it doesn't work then you know it's a problem with your device. Hope this helps and best wishes!

No I have been using Viper for a long time and camera works great. It has nothing to do with the libs. The lagfix has nothing to do with camera, it just makes the phobe a bit smoother, but no hdmi. Also Elegancia's camera works well, I have tried it in the previous release.
So either you have installed smth that interferes with camera app (I highly suggest you make a fresh install of the rom), or you don't have the right firmware (firmware 3.33 is suggested in both), or your hardware is broken (camera itself doesn't work).
You can also try different roms and see if problem persists.
P.S if you are refering to continous shooting, than it's a known problem and it can't be fixed because our hardware isn't compatible. The solution is to turn continous shooting off in camera app

Hello,
I have the following problem:
I experience visual artifacts when using two-finger rotate in Google Maps, also Photoshpere is really acting up... the images flicker...
Not all devices have it, as a matter of fact there are few of them (reported). Let's try to collect as much data as we can in order to find the cause of this and maybe a fix. I'll start.
HTC One S
Color: Gradient Blue
HBOOT:1.14.0002
Radio:1.06es.50.02.31
Jun 11 2012, 14:36:28
It's recommended to attach a logcat with the problem.
The problem allways happen when try to rotate Gmaps with two fingers, and photoshpere gets crazy especially after taking 1st photo.
It seems like an accelerometer problem, but accelerometer utilities seems to report the sensors working fine, so maybe a GPU driver problem.
C'mon guys, let's get this fixed
For the flicker have you tried changing debug.composition.type=dyn to debug.composition.type=gpu? I also had the same issue with that camera but only tried it when it come out, have you tried other packs that have it?

I've tried many packs... i will try those and report back. The thing that scares me is that this happens on Virtuous Rom also (which is almost stock build with HTC jb libs), and this may mean that i will never have fully working jb not either from HTC.

Keep in mind the camera is for 4.2, not 4.1, and I doubt we'd ever get stock camera on official Sense.

ok, that's not a problem, i can live without photoshpere, but the fact is Google Maps also have this problem and I need GMaps...
I know that at least 3 others reported this problem (and i'm sure that are many others who didn't test for it) I wonder where are they now...
I started this thread hoping that if other users reported it, the devs would try to solve this, but i think i'll just have to wait for HTC to give us JB and see if i still have the problem (but I am really concerned that I might have it). What's wrong with this One series? so many bugs (and not minor): cases chipping, helicoptering bug, sound issues, performance issues (one x), this problem....
I reported in another thread that I have this problem and I do, when using photosphere, I've seen it, although if I keep my movements nice and slow and steady, it seems to hold together.
I haven't seen any problem in Google Maps though, what happens to you in there?
Cheers

I have the same problem on photospere, on maps I have no graphical problems, but the magnet sensor seams to change it's direction sometimes. Had this on CM10, and now on 4.1 Sense+.
Edit: I mean I have the orientation problem on photosphere. My screen does not flicker.
I have this same exact problem with an HTC One XL. I have not found a fix for it.
I've tried flashing every flavor of jellybean there is. It oddly seems to not happen if I use a sense version of jellybean. But I hate sense and want vanilla android.
AOKP, AOSP, modded, unmodded, doesn't matter. I get this annoying graphics glitch when I try to scroll around using maps or photosphere.
I hope it's not purely hardware related, and that there's an easy software fix for it.
Hello
My TF300T, Android Version 4.2.1, is getting slow and it does not matter how many times I do a factory restore, it still stays slow. Its got to the point that I've had to turn off the Window Animation and Transition Animation just to get it responsive enough to stop the lag.
The batteries on the device and keyboard drain like there is no tomorrow while on stand-by. This never used to happen before I updated to 4.2.1 late last year.
As it is, I have a Nexus 4 and Nexus 7 working on Kit Kat and I would like to know if it is a good idea to attempt putting Kit Kat on my ASUS TF300T?
Or if it is best to leave well alone. If it ain't broken, don't fix it.
yes
I did the upgrade to cm-10.2 and am very glad I did. The lag disappeared! Twrp 2.6.3.0.

You have a lot to choose, but if you want a rock solid rom with no bugs and a lot faster than stock, go for CROMi-X. It's a 4.2.1 rom based on stock but you will see a lot of improvement. For what I know KitKat roms are still very buggy.
I tried cromi-x, but it was still laggy. Better, but still.... when I went to cm10.1 things sped up, and 10.2 is better. I'm thinking about cm11, but there seems to be a problem with backups using twrp2.6.3.0. I can't back up. Seems twrp can't complete without error. Something about file size, and it can't determine the size of partitions... will be more exact if asked.
My lag was extreme on the stock 4.2; so bad I had given up on the tablet. The custom roms have saved me!

They're not "buggy" at all. Only things like GPS are inconsistent.
I've been using kitkat as my daily driver on my tablet since the first post for it.

4.4 Omni Rom runs strangely well on the tf300t, most notably for me is the responsiveness of the packaged launcher.
I haven't notice something buggy about Android 4.4, i'm using the OmniRom and couldn't be happier!

Hello
I very much would like to go for a Stock version of Android 4.2.1.
I very much would appreciate a Link to a Help or Tutorial that will comprehensively guide me through the process of CROMi-X or something similar which is as close to s Stock Android 4.2.1.
I have only ever rooted and had a go replacing a ROM on my Samsung Ace. Things did not run smooth to say the least. In fact I bricked the phone for a few days before finding a ROM to save the day.
In short, I am willing to have a play at changing the ROM on my TF300T but I will enter into it with some trepidation.
I think I will stick off Kit-Kat for quite a while for the bugs to be worked out. You never know ASUS may help out.
Go here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2425390
You will find all the info you need to flash CROMi in the first page
have any custom rom like cyano or omnirom the hardware acceleration implemented?
with cromix any THD app or movie player application use hardware GPU, instead with other THD app does not work and movie player application work only in software mode using CPU only.

Bit confused here, does this mean that if I do a custom ROM then I will lose an important feature of my Tablet for watching media, either on it or projected onto a TV through a HDMI cable?

Last week i tried the nightly of omnirom and cyanogen 11, they are fastest, but I found an important feature missed.
I tried DICE player to view an .avi and I had a force close, then I tried Sonic 4 Episode 2 THD and I had a force close...
then I discovered that any THD app did not work properly...
I assume that GPU HW acceleration does not work using AOSP rom ....
So I tried Cromi-X and I found again HW acceleration (it is based on official rom) and no lag
I hope that it is my problem with cyano or omni rom but no one answer to me
