wireless charging - Desire Accessories

Has anyone heard about wireless charging for the Desire?
Iv'e seen w]the Wildcharge universal adapter the fit into the USB port.
Are there any viable hacks for something inside the case?

I think you don't need a hack if you have adapter, ain't that plug and play?

i want to see it in action

Like i sayed in title this is pure lie.
Nothing from this will not happend for our old devices and sorry ? xD WIFI CHARGING ? LOL

can be done
It can be done.
You would need to fit the wireless charger coil inside the battery case, though.

There are plenty of solutions existing, I cannot post a link right now. Google "wireless phone charging".

Take a look at that instructables.com/id/Add-Wireless-Charging-to-Your-Smartphone/?ALLSTEPS

Edit: I'm sorry, my phone acts on its own in my pants. Carry on!

[Q] USB host without dock?

Does the TF300 contain USB-host chip inside tablet? Will I get USB port If I connect charging cable to USB female-female adapter?
I just bought the adapter from amazon. It plugs into the charging connector, and it works great with my external hard drives for movies and stuff. It concerns me a little about how flimsy it feels when it's plugged in, but it sure beats dropping $150 just to have a usb port. It is a full sized usb 2.0 port on the adapter.
---------- Post added at 07:39 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:38 PM ----------
I haven't tried a female to female cord yet, but that would be even cheaper than the adapter.

Yes, I know about the adapter. But I live in Russia and it takes a looooooong time to wait for delivery from shops like amazon or ebay
So thats why I ask about female-female USB adapter. I just wonder if somebody have tried to use it.

Do you mean that TF300 can't provide enough power to USB device and I need Y-cable to connect pad, charger and e.g. flash drive?

Bluetooth speaker docks

Does anyone have any recommendations for bluetooth speaker docks? Looking to spend less than $200. If it charges, that's a bonus!
...I just don't get why you would buy a charging dock but then want it to have bluetooth.
Only stuff I found from a quick search was H/K and Bose stuff, not a shock considering what it is, they are of course incredibly overpriced and likely sound like crap.
Actually I just found this http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005HY4UPK doesn't look bad, still probably sounds lousy but it's cheap-ish.

It's not totally broken. I usually stream stuff to my stereo via BT while connected to wifi.
Every few days BT does randomly decide to not turn on, only fix is a reboot.
I have two of these, portable & rechargeable plus a usb port for charging your device.

Sharper Image Bluetooth speaker!!!
Get this little speaker. You won't regret I swear.
I bought it for $20 bucks at Ross about 3 weeks ago and believe me, the sound that comes out of this little speaker is amazing.
It has a connection to plug into any electrical plug. On top of that it charges.
Not only does it play music, but it also has a call button and you can use it to talk on the phone.
I tried to put a link but I don't have enough posts yet =/
Search for it on google

You should take it in for repair or something.

Looking for female USB C to male micro USB adapter/cable

It seems that everyone is buying cables to work with their old chargers, but since I'll be carrying the 6P charger around for the fastest speeds, I was wondering if anyone has found a way to charge older micro USB devices with the included charger.
Thanks!
I could be wrong, but from what I think, Older devices will not be able to receive the charges like you are hoping they would. I think your search might be in vain.
I thought USB C was backwards compatible and would charge at the slower micro usb speeds.
To my knowledge, you can have a male USB Type-C ended cable, but not a female. The USB IF specifically prohibits it in their specs. Female connections are strictly for ports on devices.
That said, Type-C is backwards compatible, and can go from Type-C to microUSB, as such: http://www.belkin.com/us/p/P-F2CU033/

True USB 3.1 dock?

Does any know of one? The only docks I can find are just USB 2.0 out the back of the dock.
Thanks!
If you don't mind spending $$ for a high end dock, this one is adaptable to any type of connection small enough to fit, including USB C:

I'm not sure about that one. The reviews seem to indicate that there is fast charging. But the reviews seem kinda sketchy... like they received the dock to write up reviews.

You know, the car dock cable is interchangeable.
I'm not 100% sure the desk dock is, now that I think about it.
I only bought the car dock and assumed the desk dock was similar in style.

I didn't know about the car dock! I watched the video for the desk dock. You have to install the cable when you get it so I'm 100% it is interchangeable!
Awesome, good news.
I've replaced the cable in my car dock several times.
One time I had a cable with a huge connector on it.
So I shaved the plastic off the sides of the connector until it fit in the car dock.
Worked great.
I still need to order a USB C cable for my car dock and research what type of 12V to 5V adapter I need to buy that will work for 3.0 quick charging.
I'm guessing my 3A adapter will be fine but I need to verify.
I like to hard wire my charging behind the dash rather than use a cig adapter for charging.

I've got car and desk docks that are useless now because they have USB 1 or 2.
The $70 I spent on the Craigsdock several years ago has more than paid itself back due to the future proofing.
Its adjustability even worked with the stupid Note phone's offset USB port location. :good:
What about this one? Looks perfect, right? https://amzn.com/B01DT1D7CY

OnePlus 8 Android auto

Hi there!
I've used Android auto this morning, it run just as smooth as my old pixel 3.
But after that connection, I've tried to make it work.. can't find out how
It was even not connecting automatically to my car's Bluetooth...
I flush all data of Android auto, nothing to do...
Am I The only one having that?
Anything to do?
Are you connecting your smartphone via USB to your car or via bluetooth only? Also, are you watching Android Auto on car's screen or on smartphone's screen?
I plug it with a usb cable, the same one that work with my pixel 3.
I do use the car's screen
My Oneplus 8 Tmo's Android Auto works fine with my Volvo.
---------- Post added at 08:47 AM ---------- Previous post was at 08:47 AM ----------
Try a different USB cable.
No issues with my sync 3 system
Well, it is working with the stock oneplus 8 cable.
Is there anyway, since I'm root, so the phone just dont look at the cable quality and do work as it can?
The cable matters for Android auto no matter what from my experience and research here is what I use works flawlessly and is only $6.99 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01N4OKUB8/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_A8ohFbBQJ6N06

Probably the cable that you're using only works for charging the smartphone but not for transferring data (because there's missing some internal cable).
But why did my old cable worked for my pixel and had worked once for a 2h drive and isn't working anymore?
I want to keep it cause it's a magnetic cable... And just to repeat, it was working flawless on my pixel 3 and for 2h with the OnePlus

Owww then I don't know... I don't trust too much on magnetic cables but the good point is that they're so convenient.
Another possibility is that your cable is now broken
