I have a question. My pc lags when just playing call of duty 4 on it. Specs are 2.5 ghz dual core processor. 4gb Ram. 640gb hdd. Dnno video card. Could it be the video card or processor?
Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk 2
Yes, it could be one or both and more.
First, what are the requirements and recommendations for the game itself ?
Is your computer 34 or 64 bit ?
What kind of CPU is it ? Example : "Intel Celeron", "i3", "AMD Athalon 64".
Find out what video card it is.
Post the question and these in the laptops and desktops thread in the Off Topic forum.

Could we get some love for the Viewsonic Viewbook vb730 on XDA? I know that it's not that popular of a tablet but it would be cool to have a place for questions.
Agree... Should any big head of Xda help me on this? New firmware? Best software for this?

Do you have the vb730? I'd like your thoughts on this device. How much drive space is set aside for apps. This looks like the tablet for me. I just think the reviews do not give it justice.

Yes I do. I am using a Vb730. I do think it is a combination product of tablet and E-reader.
The Internal Memory is 8GB and the space for data application is about 5 GB/8GB. But you can expand the capacity by Micro SD... I am using 16 GB Micro SD card (around 30$ I think)
For an e-reader, it use LCD screen so could be not very good for your eyes.
For a tablet, it is not multiple touch screen so you can not use two of your finger the same time.
Most of the Android software can be installed by using Explorer software of this. It is quite simple. However, you could not install Android Market Software... But you can use Amazon Application...
I do think it is quite good with the price you have to pay...
Thanks. Now just waiting for Christmas to get this or the Galaxy Tab 7. I really think the vb would suit me fine.

I've checked every site i could find on this phone and they all indicate that it has 512 MB of ram. I have a question as to whether this is true, particularly because on every rom i have ever tried, I've only been able to get it up to about 280 combined with free ram and used. Is the RAM partition different than the epic 4g because on that phone, which is a variant of the same Galaxy S model, I used to have about 350 to 375 MB free
Yes.

The Samsung Galaxy S 4G was built specifically for Tmo. It shares some similarities but for the most part it is a very different phone then any similar phones.

Yes. The phone has 512mb of space. Go to manage apps > all and add the two numbers at the bottom together. They should be close to 512. Right now mine added equal 509MB. Close enough for me.
He's asking about ram though not internal memory

Arcee just answered a tweet & said CM10 is near, and should be ready in a couple of days
Edit: he was referring to the P990 though I'm not sure about the P999
Even if the p990 gets it first, we still should get it a few days later. We only have a few differences that RC should be able fix

According to ProTekk, I think he's part of the AOKP team, you should be good, here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1485861 he says minimum dual-core with 4Gbs of RAM.
I have a spare computer with intel core2 duo and 4Gbs of RAM and it compiles from source with no problem. I have noticed that it's slower without my SSD though. You'll probably need at least 120Gbs of hard drive disk space as I was having a lot of trouble with 64Gbs (in Ubuntu that is)
Hope this helps
Thanks for the link. Ill be checking this out after my work interview!

So I have the tf201, but on tapatalk I can't find the forum. Since these device are kind of similar, I thought I would post here. Is it possible to emulate an old 16 bit windows app on the tablet? We use it in school for respiratory care. The app allows is to listen to lung sounds and answer questions. Can this be done?

If it were a DOS app you could use AnDOSBox, but you might search to see whether there is a port of WINE to Android (you'll still need an installer for Windows).

I dont think you're in the right play to ask that question ..
anyways... 98%? is it an authentic version of the phone or is it one of them counterfeit goods?
why dont you google information regarding the phone or you can personally ask the person selling it to you
POST IT IN note section or general android section not here.
