[Q] eMMC fried chip provider unlock - HTC Desire S

Hi all,
My HTC Desire S (Saga) is fried eMMC chip, still locked to network provider. Soft-resurrected phone by booting CM from SD card using methods:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1756287
or
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1572924
Problem, unlock code does not work applied from custom rom (CM7.1) needs to be applied from stock rom as told by unlock code site.
Boot Manager failed to install my stock nandroid and other stock rom i tried (RUU Saga H3G UK) to SD card with "..error building boot.img.." or so.
Not sure why. Now the idea is for someone willing to help with fully working Saga to try and install "RUU Saga H3G UK" stock rom to sd card with boot manager and upload the succesfully built resulting rom+update.zip somewhere for me. Also if anyone had similar issue or can suggest a workaround for the problem are very welcome to contribute. Thanks.

[Q] Htc inspire problems with sim card

hi every buddy i have a problem with my htc inspire from AT&T i root it and installed a costume rom but now it dosnt want to read any sim card even the AT&T Sim card can someone tell me what I can do
Which rom are you trying to use?
I know this is a stretch, but did you ever put a lock on your SIM card? So if you boot up the phone you need to enter a code? Maybee a friend tried to get in the phone and for security purposes the phone burns out the SIM...
thanks man look the custom rom im using now is CoreDroid_Desire_HD_GB_2.3.3_V6.6_RV, the first one was gingerbread 2.3 and it works good with any sim card so then i put the coredroid hd but i dont know what happen to it and now i restored to original att software and i did the same steps but it cant read any sim card..
When you rooted, did you set S-off? If not, that could be causing the problem; one of the ROMs might have been from another carrier and set to only accept their SIM cards. When you boot into bootloader (volume-down + power) you should see something like this at the top:
ACE PVT SHIP S-OFF
If you don't see that, re-run the hack kit and select S-OFF from the menu.

[Q] Back to stock rom - stuck in boot loader

Hey folks,
I need your help.
I just tried to reset a Desire S to factory settings, including S-ON, stock rom and so on. I just did not realise, that me device is branded so I followed the guide for unbranded devices. Now I've got a Desire S with an S-ON, factory HBOOT but without any ROM or recovery partition.
The last installed stock rom was 1.47.206.2 but I only find o2-RUUs for 1.31.206.1, which HBOOT won't accept: "Main Version is older!"
Any idea what I can do now?
Opps.
I'm afraid that you might have done what this chap did :
[Q] Stuck in Hboot, S-ON, no Rom, no Recovery

If you buy along with a contract it's normally branded.
It will also have network related bloatware installed on it on top of the base HTC ROM as well as having network splash screens and possibly even boot animations.
Its normally quite obvious.
I got it. I just managed to create a working gold card, so I could flash an non-branded version. Right now I'm downgrading back to the current provider version. Thanks

[Q] Unroot htc incredible s(Model no- S710e) Indian model

Hi Guys,
I have rooted my phone few months back using Revolutionary to gain s-off and installed Cyanogenmod 7.1. After using it i did not like it much. So I again installed the htc stock rom (which i had taken backup before installing custom ROM) without turning to s-on.
Now I would again like to get back my s-on so that i can update my phone to 2.3.5 with sense 3.0 using OTA. Since by phone is rooted the OTA doesnot work (Get andriod image after restarting phone).
I tried other threads from the forum to unroot it. But I get the msg "Incorrect model id" while performing those steps. Can anyonce please give me the stock rom along with steps to unroot it for indian version of IS?
-Thanks
Ajit
Any help guys??
Please help me guys!!!!
HI,
I am facing the same problem. Did you have any luck? If you could upload the stock Froyo ROM that would be most appreciated.
Thanks in advance
The Revskill link "psas.revskills.de/?q=goldcard" is not working for HTC Gold card creation may be they are not giving further support for Gold card creation, I also tried script method "IncS_MVDTKV3.1" but not able to create a gold card as i am getting ERROR [131]: CUSTOMER ID ERROR during RUU installation.
This means Gold Card is not created.
I am Using kingston 8Gb microSD card,

Maybe I need flashing again ROM? ButI don'tknow.
Did you do a clean flash? If not use this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1257731
I think so NO, because i did it first time in my life , when and why i did this, been problem with touch screen,i think after that my screen start working, but no resolve this. I replace him a new display with digitizer. Now all is fine, but only i have problems with SIM card how i write above,i looking answers on another HTC forum and somebody adviced me flash again with this ROM: RUU_Saga_S_HTC_Europe_2.10.401.5_Radio_20.4801.30.0822U_3822.10.08.04_M_release_219480_signed
i have this ROM in my phone now,and the boot menu looks:
***LOCKED***
SAGA PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT -2.00.0002
RADIO-3822.10.08.04_M
eMMC-boot
I can with this current condition flash again with official ROM?
if i flash with custom ROM i must to do some changes in my phone?
To be able to flash custom roms you now have an option of either:
1. Unlocking your bootloader via HTCDev and installing a custom recovery
2. Downgrade HBoot using one of these guides http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1318919 or http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1399331 and then going s-off using Revolutionary
I would advise the second option because it's easier and more reliable.
Next time search or check the development index and stickied threads before asking basic questions. Guides to rooting and rom flashing is easily accessible in the forum :good:

[Q] Rooted HTC One X (Endeavoru) on Cyanogenmod 12.0 won't network unlock (with code)

Good evening all,
I am very new to all of this so please be bear with me. I have searched through the forum extensively but haven't been able to find a solution to my problem.
I have an HTC One X (Endeavoru / Tegra 3) which is currently network locked to T-Mobile UK.
I have followed various guides on XDA carefully and successfully unlocked the bootloader using HTCDev code & adb/fastboot, rooted my phone and installed Cyanogenmod 12.0. It is all working perfectly and I'm very happy with the results.
My problem is I want to put in an O2 Sim Card and my phone is locked to T-Mobile UK. I purchased an unlock code for £9.99 (officialunlockcodes.com) and popped in my O2 Sim but after inputting the code into my phone, it said that the unlock was NOT successful and I still get the same message (Network / Perso Lock).
So my first question is, is the fact that my phone is running a custom ROM & unlocked/rooted preventing the unlock code from working?
My second question is a about reverting back to original HTC settings/software in order to unlock the network.
I read on a forum that someone else had issues using an unlock code on a custom ROM with unlocked bootloader. He reverted back to stock ROM and locked the bootloader and it worked for him. He then reinstalled the custom ROM and it was all fine. I have tried (and failed) to do the same but I cannot find any stock ROM or a Nandroid backup that is compatible with my phone.
The version is 3.16.110.6 and the CID is tmob005. Htboot version is 1.39.
I used TWRP Recovery & this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc-one-x/orig-development/storage-layout-hox-endeavoru-t3022358 for updating to the new storage layout for HTC One X Endeavoru and this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/htc...nofficial-htc-one-x-cyanogenmod-12-0-t2976389 for my installation of Cyanogenmod 12.0. (both great resources!)
When I unlocked the bootloader & rooted my phone, I used ClockworkMod as the recovery tool and I did take a back up. However, I foolishly wiped my SD card & storage before I updated to the new storage layout (and changed to TWRP recovery tool) when I was installing Cyanogenmod 12.0 a few days later so as far as I'm aware, I can't simply restore my original ROM.
Does anyone have any ideas? Ideally, all I want to do is unlock the carrier/network and continue using my phone as it is with Cyanogenmod 12.0 but if I need to revert back to stock ROM to unlock the network, I'm prepared to do that. I just don't know how as I've searched through the collections and archives here and can't find a stock ROM or Nandroid backup that's compatible. I may be getting myself very confused on this as I don't really understand CID so I hope I've not missed anything obvious.
I've also tried achieving S-OFF with firewater & rumrunner but it fails and from what I can tell through various threads and research, S-OFF isn't possible yet for my model of HTC One X.
Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much Amber
