The title itself tells what my question is. Currently I am using Rashed's JB 4.1.2 ROM. But this issue has been present since ICS.
The compass mode on Google Maps should give you an eagle eye view on screen, that should always point upwards and rotate as we change our direction.
But it doesn't happen. I read on other sites that it was a mistake from Google and has been fixed in version 6.10.10. I am using the latest version 6.14.x and still that problem exists.
Someone please provide any solution to this...
I love using Maps.
Thanks in advance

I have several apps not working for ICS (PyroIce 1.1.0) and. I'm wanting to figure out if it is bad installs or are others having problems with these apps and other apps as well. So I figured we can all help each other narrow down which are genuine compatibility issues with ICS from the app developer side as opposed to which are custom rom issues as opposed to which are installation (user specific) issues. Please contribute!! If this catches on I will maintain this thread so that those visiting it can add to it but will only have to look at this original post for the updated complete list.
Currently not running:
• Friendcaster Pro (installs but force closes when I attempt to log into facebook)
• Words With Friends (installs but has constant force closes)
• Shadowgun
If you are on ICS and successfully running an app on this list please post saying so. And if you did anything out of the ordinary to make it run please include that info.

The signature of this post lends to believe ICS is in play - maybe the issue?
Other people aren't having issues (noted in the thread) myself on my ROM and someone else on the stock ROM...
Trying to determine if ICS is the issue since it is not stable like our GB roms are. But there wasn't a clearinghouse type thread to determine rom vs user error/bad installation. That is what this is to determine since we may not have official ICS for a minute.

The only app I'm really having trouble running on my phone with ICS is the original freeware version of Pac-Man, and it's a graphics problem.
did you restore them as backups from other roms running gingerbread?
All of my app problems are on fresh installs from the Android market. I would suggest anyone with app problems on ICS do fresh installs as opposed to restores from titanium or other backup apps. That has fixed problems for me before.

You can add Draw Something to that list.
Its weird though a lot of the games will work right after install but a few days later is when they begin to stop.

I tried ICS and JB as well and I can confirm that, they have the same issue, I got a lot of prog which run and crash after a minuter. Never had this problems with GB.
No good at all.
Currently Crashing or not working:
Rainbow 6, HAWX, Fast 5, SPB TV, Shadowgun, TomTom.
Ok I'm going to try to provide as much information as possible in order to help me troubleshoot this issue. My computer is running windows 7 home premium 64 bit. I've got a tmobile htc G2. I bought it used off of a friend and it was previously rooted and IIRC it had 2.3.7 gingerbread on it? not 100% sure. Since then I've updated the Clockwork to 5.0 from 3.0 and I updated the rom to an ICS 4.0.3. I tried virtuous at first and I believe now I'm using virtuous quattro RC3. I don't know If I'm still in an early version or what but I hate it. My apps (mocospace) crash constantly, even from switching from portrait to landscape, even the browser version of mocospace. I even tried downloading opera and dolphin and the same thing happens. Also with youtube, when I watch videos, they are not videos, they are more of a slideshow, I've downloaded adobe air and adobe flash but the videos are still in frames. I'm looking for one of two things, A Stable ICS that will work on my G2, or to go back to a previous version of android that will work fine like it used to. this version on this phone is driving me nuts, I constantly have to power off/on my phone to reset a Blank homescreen issue, or the icons will be blurred. thanks in Advance! - Andy

Good God, Seriously?
If it sucks so bad flash something else. Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=758 and look for something that suits your fancy. *****ing in a general discussion section without using the search options will not get you any help. I stumbled upon this post on accident and thought "Eh, why the hell not". Qualcomm chipsets like those in the Vision and Glacier and most HTC phones don't have stable ICS yet due to driver issues. READ READ READ READ then READ some more then flash. Otherwise you'll be this guy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwleOote5M0&list=FLiSUReotYhEITuOWRb6Hb8w&index=11&feature=plpp_video
I was actually reading up on some different roms while I was at work tonight and figured I would try out both the Andromedus, and the CyanogenMods. I Do appreciate your help though, and [email protected] the video. When I bought this phone off of a friend it was already rooted and had 2.3.7 on it I believe, I just wanted to try out android 4.0. I'm guessing though like you say its still too early to find something awesome. I don't even mind this one so much except that it seems like itcant handle any graphical apps or procedures. once again thank you
Yea, the GPU on HTC phones doesn't have native ICS drivers yet. Good luck chief

Is it possible to get Google Now on ICS Roms for the SGH-1727? I would love to get Google Now, but I am not yet ready to upgrade to CM10 due to the Camera not working.
Thank you in advance,

Hi All
I am new here so please bare with me.
I have a Samsung Note 10.1 Model GT-N8010 running Android 4.1.2
I was under the impression that the new update (4.1.2) would allow the ability to setup a 2nd user profile.
I can not seem to find the setup process.
If someone can help I would be grateful.
Many Thanks
I think you need to wait for 4.2.1 for multi-user.

No Waiting Buddy, be Happy.
you can use SwitchMe ( Root Required)
available on Google Play Store
Jb 4.2 isn't available from Samsung yet. Even if it was, i wouldn't touch it. The latest update to JB 4.2 still hasn't fixed the bluetooth issue that Google introduced with 4.2. Breaking bluetooth was a pretty bad coding glitch and releasing it to the public just plain sloppy. At times, Google looks as bad as MS.
I think your right, thanks for the help.

I have seen the app that is avaliable, my device is not rooted at the moment, I am thinking of doing it but a little worried I might brick it!
I have owned various android products but never rooted one. The idea of a 400.00 pound brick frightens me lol!
Thanks

Hi everyone... its really an appreciable thing that our Oone has come through such a huge development starting from the cyanogenmod roms to the slim beans ...its a real achievement by the Devs ..Kudos to their great work ..Having said that..there has been one common thing in almost all the unofficial roms which hasnt got fixed yet ...Guess most of u know what am talking about...Yes!!! The voice search app !!!!
The only way to get it working as suggested by the Devs is to replace the latest voice search app with the gingerbread version...
Yeah. That did look good but it would be better if the latest versions start working too...
All in all ..I'm not a big Dev ..i just wanted to bring this thing to your notice hoping that a few of them shall work on this ...Efforts are always encouraged:thumbup:

I can say that voice search app will never be working( not including the gingerbread version) due it needing armv7 libs which our phones will nvr be able to utilise.
