Question about The "This build is for development purpose only" warning msg.
So, a quick question.
After researching some threads, it is my understanding that it is normal to have this warning screen for an unlocked HTC One S?
My question is, is it possible to flash a splash screen over it? (I'm guessing it's a splash screen). I don't like this red warning and want it to go away. Can someone please tell me is flashing a custom splash screen will remove it?

Splash can be changed if on a low Hboot but you still get the warning.

Hey,
I have had a vox for over half a year now and I was using the new OS from HTC.
Recently I had to reflash my phone because it was having a number of issues. The enter key on the front keypad would not work. It would handomly turn the bluetooth on. The screen would not be bright while I was using it (the standy dim lighting).
The enter key on the slide out keyboard does work.
After the reflash everything worked great. Now I have used the phone for a week and this starts happening again. Sometimes restarting will get rid of these problems, but it still seems to be there.
I tried to update to Dr. Gonzo's 6.1 ROM, but I was unable to flash that one, I got an error saying the ROM is corrupt.
Do you think this may be a hardware problem?
Please let me know what you think,

which ROM are you currently using?
Did you USPL the device before flashing WM6.1 ROM?
that is a necessary step.
Let us know after you flash doc's ROM.

hey hey, I did read both of the supplied read me files, however I'm sure sure that the updates UPL/SPL updates worked correctly. There is one step that I am unsure about.

yea I always use the search function in forums, why ask what 10 others have asked before.

I will try it again tonight when I get home. I think it was the step where I had to run the *.bat file with all the promts...at the end the phone did not behave like it said in the read me so I think something may have gone wrong at that point.
Is there anyway to de-brand the phone like get rid of the t-mobile logo that comes up when the phone is asleep and you hit a button?
From what i've read, that's actually a display of the network the phone is connected to, not any sort of branding.

This is correct as mine says ATT on that screen.
Stericson was able to do this by editing some XML files with a hex editor. I wouldn't recommend playing around with these files unless you know what you are doing. I would just wait for a bit. Someone will figure this out eventually, this is XDA. How about debranding the T-mobile logo located under the earpiece. Sugarcube, anyone? I dont want to be the first to try I need a guinea pig.

Anyone know how to actually remove the physical logo from the phone (the one on the front?) without damaging anything?
On all my other HTC phones (except Kaiser), you could rub a sugarcube over the logo on the front and it would be abrasive enough to remove the logo, but not abrasive enough to damage the plastic. I want to try this with my G1, but I dont want to be the first.
I don't have any sugar cubes, but i removed the myfaves logo from the back of the screen with straight sugar and my fingers.
I tried the same thing with the T-Mobile below the earpiece, but have had no luck so far. The surface it different. I am certainly going to try again when i have sugar cubes

I'm just trying to remove T-Mobile from the Dream.
BTW, I tried sugar cubes today. They removed the T-Mobile logo beneath the earpiece, but left a bunch a deep scratches.

But I still don't understand what you want.
The word Google on the black background, or the four-color x-shaped boot-animation. That's all that shows on the screen on my phone when I turn it on before the launcher and unlock screen appears.

Same here! The problem is, I don't know how to use ADB. :-\
Alot of people have tried to find that particular file and to my knowledge no one was able to locate it.

Boot animations are not splash screens. Splash screens are like the Moto logo when you power on your xoom.

It has not been changed because IIRC there is something much more involved and difficult about changing that and the developers just said lets focus on the more important things.

Don't you just love the trolls here on xda ? You ask for one thing and they tell you your wrong or go find this instead of explaining that you can't
Quite simply they can't change it like you can with HTC devices. It looks more or less imbedded in the boot loader or something along those lines

Well, let's just say everyone that own a Xoom has one. Where as I want to make the Xoom ALL mine.
As the title says:
Htc sensation w/ revelation 1.02 on it.
Wierd logo made up of black dashes on the screen.
Kinda like a smurf image.color or white screen dosen't matter.
Update software,new rom?
Any ideas.

Any more information the subject? like did this happen on its on, if not what did you do that preceded the problem ( install new rom ), anything?
I would just flash a new rom over it and let it be.... f*ck backslash smurfs....

i'll just install a new rom.any reccomendations?it's for the G.F. it's her phone--I'm just the schlep who programs it.
I'd like a stable rom and relatively fast.not too much crap like developer stuff--she'll never use it.

No mate sorry but sounds really strange to me... if it happened to any of the girls i know since they're all technologically impaired i would guess its of their own doing, for example installing and accepting **** they don't bother checking... maybe your girl is different i don't know anyways im using Sultanxda's rom and im very pleased with it ( especially speed-wise ) check it out.

thanks.i might try viper first then maybe the rom u recommend.
Try to ask Viper's developers. They can recognize problem and try to find a solution...
I installed viper and the weird black lines resembling a smurf or weird cartoon character is still there.
I even reinstalled the pgm58 3.33 firmware and it's still there.
I suspect the lcd is going and soon there will be more lines.(black lines on white screen--colored pics hide the lines)
a new lcd assembly is between 30-40 bucks so I may order one if things get worse.
p.s. I tried some of the stuck pixel apps on g-play and no dice...
