Hey,
I have had a vox for over half a year now and I was using the new OS from HTC.
Recently I had to reflash my phone because it was having a number of issues. The enter key on the front keypad would not work. It would handomly turn the bluetooth on. The screen would not be bright while I was using it (the standy dim lighting).
The enter key on the slide out keyboard does work.
After the reflash everything worked great. Now I have used the phone for a week and this starts happening again. Sometimes restarting will get rid of these problems, but it still seems to be there.
I tried to update to Dr. Gonzo's 6.1 ROM, but I was unable to flash that one, I got an error saying the ROM is corrupt.
Do you think this may be a hardware problem?
Please let me know what you think,
Thanks,
GRoder
which ROM are you currently using?
Did you USPL the device before flashing WM6.1 ROM?
that is a necessary step.
Let us know after you flash doc's ROM.

hey hey, I did read both of the supplied read me files, however I'm sure sure that the updates UPL/SPL updates worked correctly. There is one step that I am unsure about.

yea I always use the search function in forums, why ask what 10 others have asked before.
I'm just curious if anyone has experienced a similar problem with their phone. I'm hoping this is not a hardware issue...
Nope, this is something for which people are opening a new threat every day, so I hope you can understand that I am a bit grumpy sometimes!

I will try it again tonight when I get home. I think it was the step where I had to run the *.bat file with all the promts...at the end the phone did not behave like it said in the read me so I think something may have gone wrong at that point.

Just tried v0.3. Sorry to report it does not work But I'm sure someone on this forum will have a flashlight working for us soon enough I think that's all the camera light is really good for anyway.
anyone have an answer for this?
Just wondering... of course, as usual: "after the fact":
The battery on my car was dead, and yesterday I planned to rplace it with a new one... However, in my garage the lighting is awful, and I could'nt find the screws and bolts... ended up calling the mechanics, to come and boost my battery....
An app like this would have been very usefull... would have saved me about 40 Euro's...

I've struggled with this issue for days now... Maybe somebody can help.
I'm dropping most of my text messages. I can successfully send them, but I do not receive them.
I figured it was a problem with SuperbadCM 1.5, because the problem seemed to begin after I updated to 1.5. I've tried downgrading, flashing after a wipe, removing LauncherPro (memory issues?)... nothing fixed it. Then I tried the latest CM5.0.8t2 on a clean wipe, no good, and even flashed an old nandroid of King's 1.5 sense rom... still no message.
What could be the issue? AFAIK everything else works.
I doubt it matters, but I'm using a G1 latest radio and dangerspl. I'm not sure if a logcat of this is possible, but I'll provide whatever info necessary. Thanks for your help. Sorry if this is in the wrong section.
if you know what rom it is from would it not make more sense to post in that rom thread and or use SEARCH to find if others witht he same rom are having the same issues and know of a fix....
have you tried a different rom? maybe an eclair 2.1 perhaps??
I've had the very same issue on DangerSPL. I'd recommend using Firerat's AnySPL Patch on Cyan's mod while using stock/Hard/Engineering SPLs.

makes sense, because the issue probably lies on a lower level than the rom. I'll try this now, thank you.
I flashed HardSPL over 2.22.23.02, then Firerat's AnySPL CM5.0.8t1. I'm still not getting text messages... Any other ideas? This is a pretty serious issue for me :/ what's most confusing is the problem occurred months after it was working fine.
If the problems still occurs, you may want to contact your service provider about this problem.

What country are you in? I'll bet its the hsxpa and gprs class settings.
Also, you pretty much answered your own question in the first post, it happened after you went to a specific ROM, there's something wrong with it's settings.

Did you try handcent sms? It has a workaround to an android bug that leads to sms loss when there's not enough memory available.
Yup. Baby steps. Last time this happened to me it was a network issue in my area and just had to wait it out. Any time I'm having SMS issues, I always call to see if the network is jacked up before heading another direction.
Did you not get a notification of a bad SIM? I thought these phones would have been able to detect a bad SIM... At any rate, I'm glad you got it fixed up.

no not on your phone im talking about on your computer scroll all the way down to the bottom of the screen & on the left hand side should be a drop down menu click on it and it should say Quick Style Chooser with 2 skins to chose from 1 being the default skin & the other being the beta skin make sure you are using the default skin then on your phone try to login again to see if it works this worked for me
Nothing, I tried twice. I don't know what could possibly be the problem. I'm going to try to change the layout on my cellphone to see if that might fix it.

A friend of mine gave me a lg p920 version not for sale. I was able to upgrade to ICS, but after updating the touchscreen does not work anymore. I ordered a new touchscreen, but it does not work. So the problem is in the bootloader. I used fastboot option EMU software version 1.25. Definitely missing the display driver. Does anyone know how to do?

I am not sure but I think the part in Slavik language about making the special cable has something to do with touch screen. I have never understood why the special cable is necessary but I know it has to do with touch screen, and that thread has been around a while, since O3D first was released. You would just have to try making one and see if it works.

Yeah I remember you. "Yes to everything." The thing is, asking here is going to do nothing for you. If you don't take action and try things for yourself, then nothing is going to work for you.

Well back a few months ago my thread was very busy with a lot of guys saying 'I have tried everything and done everything exactly and nothing works.' Usually it was because they were not reading and following directions carefully. It became irritating and I almost did not want to help anyone :banghead:... Anyway, apologies and I am happy you succeeded
I am always amazed by the tenacity of our little 'club' here; I would have never thought of the battery. Heck, I did not know there is one.

Heya!
So i just got this Nvidia tablet with blisspop/lollipop or whatever it's called already installed.
Now i've been trying to read through some of the threads on this page but it honestly feels like im reading a different language.
I've noticed the Nvidia power options is gone from the tablet and since im lagging pretty bad often when playing games although not all the time, i'd like to fix this.
I thought the best option would be to increase my cpu usage, do you guys have any guides or tips for me on how i could do that?
Thanks in advance!
honestly, the kernel included in blisspop is plagued with odd behavior.. hangs, audio skips, and weird lag that comes and goes without reason...
some say it works fine for them, but myself and many others have had this issue... so, that is probably your problem.

Sorry, i'm not familiar with the contents of blisspop and such.
you can try the official firmware, but if you bought the tablet with blisspop installed on it already... it is probably killswitched... so you need to follow the instructions here or risk breaking your tablet for good.

I assumed the Killswitch is something that deactivates my tablet if i dont do anything to fix it, hence why i asked if it wouldn't work after a while if i didn't do anything about it.
I'll try to follow what the thread says. Thanks for the replies!
the killswitch could kill your tablet the instant it connects to the internet.
make sure you remove it BEFORE you do and you won't have any issues from that point on with anything.
