Should I go for 32 gb or 16 gb card .
Sent from my HTC Explorer using xda premium

My suggestions is use 8 or 16 don't go for 32 ..because it's bigger for our phone performance.
It's may result in performance degradation.

That won't work on stock ROM's
Use MiniTool partition manager on your computer for partitioning your SD card (use Fat32) of course via USB or card reader.
Insert SD card in your droid.
Open link2SD,
And try with fat32 or ext2 script.
It should work, if it doesn't precise yourself !
Don't forget to hit thanks if I helped you.

[Q] All Jelly Bean roms sd card problem

So here is the problem.. I install a jb rom(cleaned dalvik cache, data, system, sd ext, everything) and I boot it up.. Everything works fine(except for mentioned bugs of course) but when I open gallery, no album shows.. I open apollo, same problem... I use es explorer, it works fine... Alternative apps gives the same result...
Tried formatting sd card from pc as well as recovery, tried re creating partition but no avail.. Tried installing every jb rom but same problem..
I am pretty sure that my sd card isn't corrupted because I tried many ics roms but this was never the problem..
Also if I insert another sd card while running jb, it works just fine... I can't dump my current sd card because it is 32gb.. Don't wanna buy another 32 gig card(what will I do with this one)
My sd card is 32gb San disk class 4
even i had the same problem, so i switched back to ics
Yeah once I tried a jelly bean Rom and I thought I broke my sd card !!!!:what:

It works fine, this problem occurs if u flash full gapps, use super stripped gapps.
And this problem is not related to SD Card.

Make sure there's no .nomedia file in the directories that don't get scanned.

More storage space on my SD card

Is there an app in the market that I can install that will give me more space on my SD card. Thanks in advance. Happy new year everyone!!!
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda app-developers app
Like erasing old app data and such? Htc has a built it one for that.
But also since Android is basically Linux, it should support compressed filesystem. If the kernel has it, perhaps there is a way to mount the sdcard in a special manner that will allow auto compression. But that is likelly to cause some performance issues...
I do not fully understand the scenario. Could you please provide some more details?

Yes my SD card is out of space I was wondering if there was a app that I could download from Google play that I could put my stuff from my SD card on it for I can free up some space on my SD card. Thanks in advance!!!

do you mean to transfer apps in internal memory?
if yes then you can do it from settings>manage applications(or something like that)
but if you mean to transfer data then use any file manager ,go to settings and check the option for mount internal memory as writable
(personally i am using es file explorer)
I was meaning transfer zip files, apps, etc from my sd card to another app to free up space on my SD card.Does anyone know of a app in the market that I could use to transfer zips, apps, etc to for I can free up some space on my SD card. Thanks

You can transfer your data to your computer to store it and free up space, but as for an application, I'm not aware of one that will free SD card space. Best wishes

link2sd

i got cm9.1 built 9.. and im using link2sd on that.. i created autolink.. but apps are still occuping space in the internal memory..even its showing linked to sd also in link2sd app.. how to change it to 2nd partition??
PS. i got FAT32 patition..
Apps will leave icons in internal memory. You have to create link & link all three files to SD card.
Linked->Sdcard means all the files of that particular app have been moved to SD 2nd partition.
If you find internal memory is getting unusually full where as you have maximum apps in 2nd partition, then wait for a while for the link2sd to load completely. Your problem will be resolved.

just download m2sd no config and flash it reboot twice but do check to remove link2sd after a deleting file named install-recovery.sh and you will be happy

Hey, then what is internal memory.
Sent from my HTC Explorer A310e using Tapatalk 2
Internal memory is phone's own storage space. We use sd 2nd partition to increase it using scripts like link2sd, apps2sd or mount2sd.

USB Mode when have using mount2sd?
Sorry for such a noob question but can we connect the device using usb mode to transfer files, etc after having applied these scripts like mount2sd,link2sd,etc?
Yes. You can.
I think i shall give mount2sd a try.

Yes, it seems much better. Internal memory (158mb) has been configured as sd-ext. And sd 2nd partition has been configured as internal memory. Mount2sd handles data more efficiently.

Hi,
Internal storage is fixed.
You can get a bigger sd card.
Internal storage is fixed however you can add a bigger SD card. That will allow you to move apps from internal to the SD if you choose, opening up space.

Buy a 64 GB SD card... The Sensation fits more stuff than any other phone I own. I have every possible high end game on my Sensation from the Play Store and still didn't fill it. I wish they built the storage on every phone this way TBH.
