[Q] All Jelly Bean roms sd card problem - HTC Pico (Explorer)

So here is the problem.. I install a jb rom(cleaned dalvik cache, data, system, sd ext, everything) and I boot it up.. Everything works fine(except for mentioned bugs of course) but when I open gallery, no album shows.. I open apollo, same problem... I use es explorer, it works fine... Alternative apps gives the same result...
Tried formatting sd card from pc as well as recovery, tried re creating partition but no avail.. Tried installing every jb rom but same problem..
I am pretty sure that my sd card isn't corrupted because I tried many ics roms but this was never the problem..
Also if I insert another sd card while running jb, it works just fine... I can't dump my current sd card because it is 32gb.. Don't wanna buy another 32 gig card(what will I do with this one)
My sd card is 32gb San disk class 4

even i had the same problem, so i switched back to ics

Yeah once I tried a jelly bean Rom and I thought I broke my sd card !!!!:what:

It works fine, this problem occurs if u flash full gapps, use super stripped gapps.
And this problem is not related to SD Card.

Make sure there's no .nomedia file in the directories that don't get scanned.

i'm using liquidbeats
had upgraded the baseband and flashed liquidbeats via CWM and had problems with no service but reflashed stock rom and baseband, that resolved the no service problems but since then the phone aint been picking up my sd card,
the card works in my fiancee's sgs2
and no other card works in the o3d
never had this problem with my hero when i rooted that
only other thing i have done that might cause this is the fact i used Rom manager to install CWM....
seen threads about some other devices that have had the same issues.
Anyone have any ideas in fixing this?

Media is not scanning in cm10

i have music, photos and videos in sd card. but it is not showing in concerned apps i.e gallery and apollo.
i searched for .nomedia folder in sd card but didn't found it . tried media scanner also and rebooting also.

Typing in swift key3 from tiny explorer with ICS
Should I go for 32 gb or 16 gb card .
Sent from my HTC Explorer using xda premium
My suggestions is use 8 or 16 don't go for 32 ..because it's bigger for our phone performance.
It's may result in performance degradation.

Certain basics
You don't have cwm in a Rom zip
/data.. internal memory
/system... system memory.. this is where your Rom is
/boot... kernel is here
/recovery... independent of all other partitions and can be flashed either in Android using flash image binary or fastboot..
Google what other recoveries you have for your phone.. it should be in index /sticky for your phone in your forum thread.

give below information
1. what rom you use

always give enough detail for the condition of the phone like above information, else you will get unuse answer.

if can't solve by clean flashing, it is high possibility that chip is faulty, this is hardware issue.

This thing happened a month ago and broke a memory card for me but the issue is that i have had the phone for a year and couple of months if its a hardware issue shouldnt it have happened earlier ?

you have answer ur own question..lol
think..memory card own do not supply own power to operate. the phone does. why your memory card broken? the phone brack it. why still the card be use in normal, thats complicated. intermediate current or voltage supply to the card may cause this. same principal as some phone can oc 1.3ghz some can't.

did you have delete the original whatsapp and the folders on your sd card?
try to backup your whatsapp folder from your sd card, delete the folder from your sd card and install again.
after this you can put your whatsapp folder back to your sdcard
I done that but maybe because it a mod app it may not work on cyanogen based roms but it works on sence.. Thanks anyway
