Firstly hey I'm new here Long time "lurker" & user of XDA for both Desire HD & Atrix
The RAZR HD I purchased off ebay is being a little dicky, I'll run you through the process
-- Unboxed , plugged it in , green LED light is on
-- Try to turn it on , LED light is gone and will not return
----End up having to enter recovery mode to boot into android
-- Phone works fine , installing apps etc ( used for about 6-7 hours)
--LED is working for sms etc
--Turn it off this morning to check that it is okay now (It's not).
So when i try to turn it on normally a green wind-up droid with a spinning blue sphere inside of it appears with a blue loading bar.... this goes on for a minute before the green droid appears on it's back with a error sign above it (The phone then turns off)
From there the only way i can actually turn on the phone is the hold power+Down volume and then switch to up volume to enter recovery which stays for a second and then boots up into a reset phone (Due to the hard reset of power+Down volume i guess?)
When it was running it was going fine!, I can't really be bothered sending it back & would rather fix it myself
I'm thinking the error has something to do with the battery? (e.g corrupted battery stats?)
System Version: 98.21.13001.XT925.Telstra.en.AU

To me the Baseband & Kernel look 3rd party?
Anyway if you guys have any insight into this that would be great
Thanks
PS: I don't mind flashing or anything to get this fixed

Hey
I had this problem with 2 razr HD telstra phone after Updated to JB and after factory reset exact thin happened.they replaced the first one and sent the second one to repair.
Im 100% sure that this issue is with Telstra JB update.
I stl waiting for device!!!!
cheers
Would reflashing the Telstra JB Rom fix the problem??
[solved]
I had exactly the same problem with a brand new unused RAZR HD,
here is the solution (maybe for all RAZR phones?) [german]
I try to translate in a few words:
Code:
you need to hold down the reset IMMEDIATELY both volume keys
until the boot loader (I hope I do not rename the whole thing wrong now) appears.
In the menu that appears choose the recovery point, after which
first the screen goes black and then the Android males appear.
Now press again BOTH volume buttons and the menu (similar to the
ClockworkMod Recory menu) to reset the device is displayed.
[it took me some tries to figure out the right point of time]
Here you have the menu option to reset the data and cache
area [ I did this twice ]
and then perform a reboot of the Razr.
After performing these steps in the Bootloop kicked me on and
I could no longer continue with the set.
ATTENTION: When resetting all the data in the internal memory
(contacts, SMS, calendar entries, etc.) will be deleted ...
the Micro SD should remain untouched!

I think NO,
because there must be some error on data partition, flashing an new ROM afaik touches only the system partition

It's not a hardware issue though its a complete brick I just want to make sure other infuse owners don't get the same mistake and what steps can be taken to prevent it I am a noob when it comes to flashing especially this being my first samsung android but its the red cwm to the blue
it's not a brick.
brick is when you get nothing. absolutely nothing.
you've some sort of power looping...not brick.
Hi,
So my SGS2 Skyrocket is stuck in a boot loop. I've have the Sky Icecream Sandwich ROM installed for a few months now, and haven't changed anything recently.
What is happening is my phone with vibrate every 2-3 seconds with a blank screen. When I take out the battery/power source, and put it back in, the phone shows the Samsung splash (not the Android splash) for a few seconds, then goes blank and does the vibrating again.
I've tried plugging it into the computer, but the power it gets from USB turns it on and into the boot loop, so I can't get it into any kind of recovery mode. I also tried the Vol+Home+Power key combo, with nothing.
Any idea what could cause this/what the course of action should be? Thanks!
Turn phone on and wait 2 hours. If it wont work do what you use to do when you booting recovery mode. (home screen i guess). But hold it longer.
Good luck
nathan-96, do you have any idea what caused this? Because what's concerning me is that it's not getting past the Samsung icon (before android starts actually booting).
When you say turn it on, do you mean just put in the battery? Because the loop starts right when I put the battery in, it doesn't wait for me to press anything.
No, I meant turning it on. Hold centre button and put battery in. Just hold it for a moment. Hopefully you will reach recovery.

Can you access download mode instead of recovery? If so you could try re flashing something with Odin...
Definitely try getting the battery out for a few minutes and boot the phone while maintaining the combination to enter recovery

AT&T Skyrocket BOOT LOOP Cyanongenmod 10
Hi ,
I´am playing with my Skyrocket to run the Cyanogenmod 10 and always I got stuck at Boot Loop .
This is what I have and did :
- Running AT&T Stock ICS 4.0.4 UCFL6 rooted ( I have a back up of this)
- CWM 6.0.1
- Cyanogenmod 10 Nightly Dec 07 , but I also tried with Cyanogenmod 10 Stable
- Gapps
- Factory Reset / wipe cache
- Wipe dalvik
- Mount/storage format system
- install using CWM Cyanogenmod
- install using CWM gapps
- Mount/ storage format cache
- reboot
I also tried to wipe twice as other threads say.
So I´am still with the boot loop
I returned my backup to the ICS ...
Thanks in advance !!!
Skyrocket Bootloop
Whats happening is the power button acts as if its being pressed. Thats why you have the bootloop and the phone turns on as soon as you put the battery in.
Try repeating pressing the power button or hold the power button without the battery for a few seconds. :fingers-crossed:
Hi everyone, I want to know what this could be, my phone was just rooted, I tried to do factory reset on the android JellyBean(Configs>Privacity>Factory Reset), now my phone is stucked on a bootloop, I try to turn on my device and a screen with android being repaired appears, then a red triangle appears on the belly's droid and my phone turn off, anyone know what could be?
Really thanks for the attention mates, and sorry for my bad english!
@update
Just boot on recovery and Wipe Data/Cache, now my device is working fine, thank you guys xDD
I have the exact same problem on Canadian XT 925 all stock. Every time the phone is turned on, it goes back to the android robot with blue orbits moving in the stomach(repair), then the screen just goes black. The only work around I found is to use 3 button combo to go into recovery menu and hard reset the device, but this happens every time I turn the phone on and off.

Hi everyone. I got the same issue, but in my case i can't boot on fastboot, and my pc just recognize my razr hd as "QHSUSB_DLOAD" and can't find this drivers.
I tried to RSD as you said but RSD won't recognize it, so i don't know what else to do.
Any help will be appreciate.
:crying::crying:
Hi
I'm using my phone (Lenovo A660) since more than two years.
Usually, I do not boot the phone to often (approximately once a month).
However, I recently realized when I turned of the phone, that the battery image is not shown when I charge my phone. Instead the screen is completely white.
When I booted the phone again, the screen remained white all the time until I pressed 3 times the power button.
Then my standard launcher (Hola) gets started normally.
However, the screen remains white when I start into bootloader mode or into recovery mode.
Hence, I cannot select anything in a menu (e.g., to perform factory reset or to wipe cache etc...), as I have only a white screen.
May someone has already seen the same behavior and knows where I can search for a solution.
Many thanks in advance for all tips that get posted
Compact problem description:
White screen under the following circumstances:
Charging while phone is off
normal boot until I press 3 times the power button (has to be done after the phone vibrates shortly)
booting into recovery mode (either with the keys or with adb command)
booting into bootloader mode (either with the keys or with adb command)
Information about the phone:
Brand: Lenovo
List item
Model: A660
Android: 4.0.4 Rom: Stock ROM with build number A660_S025_121122
Recovery image: Stock image or CMW
Kernel version: 3.0.13 #1 Rooted: Yes with SuperSU v2.01 Fastboot: not supported
Approaches tried so far:
flashed recovery rom with CMW and with stock ROM. No improvement
Change /system/media/bootanimation.zip and /system/media/images/boot_logo. No improvement
added and removed again "debug.sf.nobootanimation=1" in the file /system/build.prop. Changes at least that at shutdown an animation is shown or not.
resetted the /system/fonts folder with a copy of the stock rom
physically cleaned display contacts according to "Android Tablet White Screen fix" on youtube from My Tablet Guru
performed a complete dd image of /dev/block/mmcblk0 in order to be able to restore all partitons if something goes wrong
so far I spent approximately 2 days googling for related problems. However, may someone can provide a key word that I was missing in my search
I attached the output of logcat. May it helps at least to debug the white screen during the boot process.
Once again many thanks for any comment and suggestion.
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. You've tried a number of things and i don't have any further suggestions. It's most likely a hardware failure and I'm afraid you're not going to be able to fix it. You could take it to a cell repair shop and see if they have any ideas.
My phone worked normally the day before,Go home after get off work and turn off all connections, WiFi/mobile data/Bluetooth/location, charge for two hours, receive/make a phone call in the middle, and shut down normally before going to bed without any software upgrade changes and unplug the charger
Then today when i turn on the phone,it shows the goole logo normally, then stuck on the screen of"system is starting"
i've tried go to twrp to clean cache which is not working
after few restarting now the phone is totally blackscreen when the google logo animation is done.
even i tried enter the safe mode.the only difference is the phone shows "safe mode"in the bottom left, nothing i can do but press the power button
The problem I infer is the google launcher is not working, maybe i'm wrong
Any help would be great,thx
What you see is Android's BSoD ( Black Screen of Death ). You get this when Android system got corrupted - for whatever reason.
My recommendation: Re-flash phone's Stock ROM.
