That link to that thread is for an init.d script, which will add the necessary CPU echo table values for the overclock. You don't have to be concerned about bricking from this, so not to worry.

I tried the tweakerz app to testing but my A2 restarts at 1,1-1,2 Ghz too.
Any chance to get stable working if i install the oc zip (example the 1,1 Ghz) insted of set at the working OS?

So ill be getting my shiny new WIFI Xoom in the mail next week. So i need to know what you guys think the best rom/overclocking set up is? Is there a all in one Rom and OC Kernel? If so what? As soon as i get it i will be Rooting and flashing it. I want 1.5GHZ (i read that's the most stable).
Thanks Guys!!!!
p.s. i checked youtube for reviews but i could not find a whole bunch?
So i need some help. I have been reading and cant really figure this out....
Do i need to load CWM before i root or to i root then load CWM? Can someone point me to a CWM install thread?
I'm using tiamat 2.2 here with setcpu. I'm at 1200mhz, and over that it stable but the temperature is going too high for me with some gaming. Even 1700mhz is stable. Nothing crash but ill need to undervolt to use 1400mhz +, for a long time.

If you want to use a zip file for rooting, you need to flash CWM recovery 1st via fastboot and pc, so you can then flash that Universal Xoom Root Zip file:

You can also access the CWM solarnz v3.2.0.0 Rc recovery from that link.
All the solutions for the wifi not turning on error have only been for the HTC dev unlocked sensations. What about for mine which was s-offed with revolutionary.
I'm currently running ARHD 6.6.3. I have also tried flashing the boot.img for both the faux and sebastian kernel but I still get the error. Please is there someone with a solution?
If I'm not mistaken, its because the kernel is not compatible with the rom. Try flashing the from without the kernel
If that doesn't work, wipe dalvik cache. Hope this helps
thanks
i flashed the elegancia 3.7 with 1.6 ghz kernel.
and wifi doesn't work. now i am trying to flash it with 1.2 staDART kernel..
---------- Post added at 02:24 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:18 PM ----------
yesssss thats it.
it works now..
IMPORTENT: don't use 1.6 ghz kernel with elegancia 3.7 on sensation.
What do you mean flash it without the kernel? When installing ARHD you have to choose a kernel. There is no option to skip it. I will try to install another kernel.

not "without kernel"
without custom (overlocked) kernel.
use standart 1.2 ghz kernel.
How can I fix that problem ? I can't use WiFi with 1.6 or 1.7 GHz kernel.
Bootloader unlocked, and rooted and custom Rom installed, but s-on.
What can I do ?
Firstly, if I install ruu rom, then again install custom rom, does WiFi work ?
Pls help..

I apologize, I posted an off base response. Read it wrong. Trying to delete comment.
For the past few days now, I've been attempting to flash $droyd$'s unofficial AOKP and thicklizard's komodo kernel, with no success. I've fastboot flashed before and/or after, wiped everything, run wipe scripts, chanted voodoo prayers, but nothing has worked. It either hangs on the boot animation, or occasionally makes it to the welcome screen before freezing and rebooting. I've been flashing ROM's on this thing for a while, and have been using unofficial cm10.1 so far as my daily driver. What the hell am I doing wrong?
Not sure but you may also still want to flash the kernel zip and then fastboot flash. There may be kernel modules that the zip needs to install for the kernel to work well on 10.1

Still no dice unfortunately, I guess it's just not meant to be. CM10.1 is running great so I don't have much to complain about.
Ok I think I've pinpointed the problem-it has something to do OC kernels. I just flashed your new Canuck kernel with PACman and I'm getting the same freezing and rebooting issue. Is my phone overheating somehow?

Are these kernels being flashed with arioma installer... If you go to my aokp thread 2nd post you will see a tweaked 4.2 version-- it already has komodo modules installed and komodo is the boot.IMG inside the zip... Do this no skipseys---download that rom-- fastboot the boot.IMG in my zip---boot to recovery and wipe every thing INCLUDING SD CARD..x3---- now mount your phone to PC and copy and paste the ROM zip to your SD card..it will look weird cause it will be the only thing on there. ----- now install ROM then wipe only the caches after that--- hit reboot----system
And enjoy aokp with komodo kernel... Now to explain---every time you re flash that kernel you are stacking modules that is why you won't boot and also why you now need to do the spring cleaning wipe.... If you follow those steps exact no skipseys you will get it done---

Eureka! Did adb bugreport while it was booting to see what was going wrong, and I saw that there was something up with the voltages. Set the clock speed to minimum and then turned up the voltages in kernel tuner and VOILA, working overclock! I guess my phone, for whatever reason, disliked the undervolted voltages.
Hi,
My Problem: Running JBX Kernel froze the phone in less than 30 mins for all Kexec Roms.
Running at stock kexec kernel seems fine though, eg. Slim bean beta5 stock kernel
Tested Kexec Roms: Pac-Man (4.2.2 & 4.3), Slim Bean Beta5, Dirty corn
Android Version: 4.2.2 and 4.3
Tested BMM slot: 3, 4 and 5
BMM 1st slot: Stock JB leaked 3, this is my main system (should be clean, no extra cpu module loaded)
Tests that did not work (problem persists):
1. Disable SR for Core, IVA Or/And MPU
2. Increase MIN voltage of MPU SR
3. Changed governor to others: interactiveX…
Not Yet test: Flash BMM slot 1 with Kexec Rom (Dtrail mentioned slot 1 is necessary for his kernel. But I want to make sure the kexec ROM running fine 1st before I switched over)
A bit history:
I’ve been monitoring the JBX thread for months since my phone was Kexec Reject group.
Since the black screen had been resolved, I booted Kexec Roms with joy but not too long.
All roms frozen with JBX kernel.
Anyone have same problem?
BMM Slot1 is necessary for JBX kernel? Any advice??
TIA
lapu
yes ,I do

YES , I do. after I have installed JBX kernel at system3(i really less aware of these things, if i make mistake i want it to corrupt some system not the phone. so i did), wasn't able to boot into custom roms that i was using previously. i tried reinstalling custom roms and failed to boot. so, i restored to previous kernel (i think) with a file in the same thread "kernel_restore.zip". there comes a new problem called "customer id error: contact dealer etc" and the first boot image jellybeanx left even after restore. Dtrail tried help me. even that image is just left over.BUt now im installing custom roms with customer id error.....Good thing is PHONe s doing good.

hi Nani,
so, you also have unstable kexec system with JBX...correct me if i'm wrong.
restore kernel had never worked for me at BMM.
i guess you had restored the kernel to system 1
just a small tip, before installing any custom rom's etc, besides nandroid, make sure to backup additionally the CID via BMM.
I too have a plethora of questions of multibooting kexec roms via BMM & also additionally installing jbx kernel. Will put these forth asap.
hi guys,
i'm getting more stable from JBX for BMM slot 3~6.
first, i need to restore my first slot (JB stock) to original setting (revert all changes made by PIMP my rom).
2nd, i did these changes using trickermod (from priority):
1. Enable FSYNC
2. Disable Dynamic FSYNC
3. Frequency lock: ON
4. Changed Scheduler: SIOPLUS (default was RAW)
5. Changed Governor to: smartassV2
i hope someone have problem with JBX can try this and verify...i'm still testing its stability for long run with AOSP Rom (4.3).
still same
