Lag Issue - Razr HD XT925 - RAZR HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have been searching various websites to resolve the Lag issue on the XT925. So i am starting this thread to share idea's to resolve this issue. I have found that the setting page on left swipe is the culprit of the lag. Whenever i swipe left, the setting page lag. Is there any way to remove it? Secondly as someone suggested earlier to turn on GPU rendering. It has really helped. But i am now concerned about the battery. A read a few forums that it doesn't effect battery much. But what is your experience if you have turned it on? If anyone of you have any other idea.. please share.

sorry, not here to help but how do you do GPU rendering?

[Q] Google chrome glitch?

Has anyone experienced this on Google Chrome?? And if so, how do you fix this?? Here is a link to the screenshot:

That happens on mine as well. Refreshing works occasionally. If not, I just hit options and then check "Request desktop site." Kind of a pain, but it fixes it. I'm not sure if Tapatalk works since I don't use it, but might be worth a shot if you browse a lot.

I figured that out already but thanks. I was just wondering if there was a fix for it.
It usually fixes itself a few seconds after the website has loaded completely. I don't know what triggers the fix though - I just scroll a little here and there and all of a sudden it becomes normal.

Yeah, that's been my experience. Interestingly, XDA has been the only site where I've had this happen. I'll try switching orientation and see what that does for me.

I use Maxthon HD for browsing/posting text. Ii is the BEST.
Yet it has editing bugs that Chrome does not have. Chrome does full xda editing/uploading with no problems. But Maxthon HD is THE BEST FORUM BROWSER EVER!

[Q] Graphics glitching

Does anybody know how to fix this Nexus 5 screen glitch problem? I filmed it, watch it here: http://youtu.be/LuNVEJineYw
It's not my phone, so I don't know what could have caused this. It happens more often when the graphics are used more intensively. Please ask whatever you might need to know to maybe fix this. Thanks!

Stock ROM, stock kernel, rooted (cf autoroot), game = Angry Birds Star Wars 2 free. glitches happen in every app, also home screen, but more cpu / GPU intensive = more glitching. No xposed, no other mods. By the way, this is after a factory reset and the problem persists. I don't know what you mean by "is the fps disabled".

you can also disable the frames per second limit of 60 that our device has. but when you do that, graphics will glitch and tear. if you factory reset, then its not enabled for sure. it can possibly be a hardware issue, since i get 0 glitches in any game.

Latest Chrome Beta 49.0.2623.91

Is it just me or is the latest build of Chrome Beta with just the right flags enabled is simply flying and scrolling is smoother and better that ever ! It was getting good for me "scrolling" wise for a while now but the latest version is as good as I have seen it. Even when browsing Google + sites where before stuttering always occurred, this is now much better. I only changed specific settings in "flags" and of course I use it along Adguard. The experience is now very good and no need for a browser like CAF chromium which was fast but also has many bugs. ?

Well for one thing i enabled multiple raster threads for the first time since before it would seem to degrade performance rather than enhance. I also enable experimental canvas features. Other couple ones I modify might not relate to performance per say...
The rest for the most part I leave to their defaults. Combined with adguard paid version and DNS filtering enabled. Performance is great and battery hit minimal.
At least for me ?

My settings as of now...
Experimental canvas features enabled
Fast tab window/close enabled
Hyperlink auditing disabled
Password generation disabled
Affiliation based matching in password manager switch to enabled
Large icons on NTP enabled
Offline auto reload disabled
Physical web disabled
Number raster threads to 3 for now... Testing it this way
Reduce default 'referer' header granularity enabled
Both child account options disabled
Enable offline pages disabled

Thanks will try it
tv2.no just lags just as much as before, I have default tile sizes set to 1024, which is the only settings that has helped for me.

L Speed Feature Suggestions

This is L Speed's suggestions thread.
You can suggest/request features for the app, and it might get approved.
Just tag Paget96 in your comment.
The "fake" dynamic f-sync from within the application, similar to the aggressive doze feature in how it works. @Paget96 knows what I'm talking about !

What if battery profile for hotplug gov in gov tuner is set like this
Down differential 5
Up threshold 95
I follow the tutorial for my device from here & it perhaps suitable for most device
https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/general/ref-kernel-governors-modules-o-t1369817
I have tried it, device is cooler & could save more battery especially with small number on down differential. With smaller number cpu freq will go down faster ?

Add option to exclude apps from clearing cache is my suggestions.
I want to clear cache except NFS: No Limits that store game assets in cache partition
Developers that make the game store the cache in cache partition, don't know how to make proper OBB or store cache in /sdcard0/Android/data

That's a pretty good suggestion, hope he'll implement it
I have more suggestions.
Auto trim, with options to change Trim Time, Trim Frequency, and Trim Notification. I have older low-end tablets that require trimming often because they slow down after 1-2 days deep sleep. The kernel in my tablets are not well optimized.
Disable apps startup. It is very useful because some apps auto start and running in background and draining battery and transmit some data. I don't use Facebook and other heavy battery drain apps but it is annoying that some browsers auto start and running in background. Right now i'm using a cleaner app that have option to disable apps from startup

i am quite a noob but im am sure that MOST rom already include this feature. am i wrong?
in miui like other roms...there are options to disable specific apps from starting themselves...... i think that L speed app should never become an oversized all in 1 app........ there are other apps for battery life that works differently.
however i still have to understand well how precisely this app works.... could someone say me what are the PRECISE POINTS where Lspeed make a tweak?
i think:
1) build.prop
2)scripts at startup that modify/optimize the governors
3) ??
4)????

Maybe you can add compatibility in govtuner for Energy Aware Scheduling (EAS) govs.
I don't use a kernel with EAS, but there are more and more kernel with it

Moto Camera misbehaving with custom ROMs

I experienced an issue with two custom roms (LineageOS 14.1 and ResurrectionRemix 5.8.1) regarding the following applications:
Moto Camera One ( play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.motorola.cameraone )
Motorola Camera ( play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.motorola.camera )
The issue is, there's a slight offset regarding touch controls with both these applications. The closer to the bottom of the screen, the higher the offset, in fact, it's only possible to get past the first start screen if you're holding the phone upside-down, else you're not able to press the "next" button because the touch offset is so extreme the place you need to touch is really far under the screen.
I did not experience these issues with the stock 6.0 rom, only the two mentioned above.
I really hope there is a workaround with this because these are the only two apps that allow slow-mo recording and 720p60fps recording, as every other app I tried (including the so acclaimed Cinema FV-5) did not allow me to record anywhere above 30, saying that "the camera doesn't support it" which is just bs.
Thanks for your time and I really hope someone can provide a solution.

This is happening because you have changed the DPI in your phone. Moto camera does not work when you change the DPI. Set the DPI back to default (320) and it should work.
Here's a moto camera with multi DPI support:

Let me know if I helped.

Probably this is the thread, OP contains the same URL.
If we could know how they achieved it, if possible we could do for the G3 camera. The settings wheel was very adaptable and cool
