Beizer Live Wallpaper cannot be used after CyanogenMod 5.0 flash

Force close after flash.
Is there any way to fix it?

dont think so... i get the same FC's all the time.

After the force close, I opened the market and when I exited the wallpaper was working.

its hit and miss, i have e-mailed the dev, this is the best live wallpaper by far

Same problem here. I eventually ended up restoring to stock rom cause I didn't find that CM 5.0 added anything for me, sure JIT really showed its powers in the benchmarks, but nowhere else that I noticed.

Huh, really? I didn't notice much difference, but the fact that it did away with the slight stuttering when switching desktops was enough for me.

I had the same problem.
However I've noticed that if you use it with Home+ it doesn't force close.
I'm now running Cyan 5.0 beta 2, Home+ and JIT flawlessly.

I got a reply from the Dev today, he is running stock rom so i did a logcat of the issue and e-mailed it back to him per his request, i'll keep you all updated as things progress

The app was updated but still seems to FC on Cyan 5.0 beta2. Yes, I can do it every time I'm left with a black screen after a force close.
I go into the market, go to my downloads. Then I click on the Beizer wallpaper app, and hit home. Voila, Beizer works.

try uninstalling the app and installing it again, i e-mailed the dev the logcats and he updated the app to version 1.2
I'm running CM5b3 and its FLAWLESS now both beizer and lines are working now

just reinstalled the latest version and its working great! love it. It is also my favorite background

Transparent film over web pages

I did not post this in a rom specific thread because I have had it happen on both stock ICS and JB. and CleanRom. When using Dolphin Mobile browser and another one that I do not recall at the moment, I will get what looks like some type of film (I do not know how to describe it better) over the web page to make it appear faded out. It does not happen everytime. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it a common occurrence?

It's called s creen. Just kidding. Does it go away when you press the Back button? Is it a pop-up that's hidden? Do you have it on other apps (especially other browsers)?

If you are talking about xda just change the theme to xda 2010 down the bottom left.

And yes my screen is clean also I will have to check out the back button. How does one check for hidden pop-ups?

Should have done a multi quote, my bad. But yes it does occure a lot with xda, so I followed you suggestion. Will see what happens.

I've noticed this too on a site I visit, it's really annoying.

I have that as well, using the Stock Browser. Doesn't happen in Chrome (at least it didn't the last time I checked). On XDA it disappears if you either change the theme or press quick reply. A little annoying, but I can live with it.

[Q] Oneplus, Instagram, & AOSP ??? [Solved]

So if anyone using Instagram and having issues with the picture after cropping and pre-posting where the entire image is black, I'd like to sincerely thank zephiK for pointing out the workaround!! The workaround is simple and as follows..
Open Instagram and click on your profile tab and hit the menu button, under camera turn off the bottom option of the two that says "high-quality image processing" try and sample a shot on Instagram and see if the pic appears to be normal.. Voila!!! Again thanks to zephiK for pointing this out to me and was good to hear I wasn't alone..
Anyone else still having issues after trying this quick and easy workaround please post back here and lets us know.

Which one is it on right now? If its unchecked, check it. If its checked, uncheck it.
I don't use Instagram, I do have the app and its checked and I can take a picture and it shows it just fine. I have read this problem in another thread and thats what they suggested and it worked.

Facebook app do something to stock homepage after close it with back button

I have noticed that when you want to exit from Facebook app from back button you can notice that the home screen do something like zoom or something...

No it doesn't. You might be talking about something else. Just tried 8 other apps and the Facebook one is the only one that does it.

That's the one I played with the most when I got my S8+ and it didn't work well; crashed on me pretty often and wouldn't take the odd S8+ resolution. That was over a week ago but it seems there was an update since. I guess they fixed it for the S8+. It very works well now and quality is great. I paid for it, I'm glad they fixed whatever there was to fix :good:
Edit: I don't know how you managed to upload it in HD, @Bautinho88, but I've tried with 6 videos on both my phone (Resolution: WQHD+ / YouTube app) and my computer and the best quality I get is 480p60.

Weird that only happens when facebook is a desktop icon. It doesnt do it from the app drawer

I guess YouTube takes some time before showing it in HD. When I first opened your video, all HD options were there. It's now showing all HD options on my videos now. We can get back on topic now :good:

I am having the same issue. I noticed that this only started to happen couple days ago. I didn't experience this issue with the same setup when I got the phone.

Yep the icon being on the home page is the cause - WHY, I don't understand.. it's like the FB icon has some sort of weird properties that a regular icon doesn't have.. kind of creepy tbh.
I've been considering deleting FB for awhile.. may just finally be time.

check the google app. goto settings/notifications and then current weather. my was the same as yours and i changed something but don't remember exactly what so that might have been it.

yeah, i agree. it's frustrating for me that i can't remember things. maybe when you're near 70 you'll have perfect memory, i don't.

Update the google app, if its already updated to latest then join the beta and update, will fix it after reboot

You are not alone. I started having the same problem (occasionally) since the latest system update (December 5, 2019). Plus apps no longer auto-update (never), even when I am on Wi-Fi. None of that was an issue prior to mentioned update.
For weather not showing I suspect app gets "power-optimized".
For app auto-update not working - there are multiple reports for that over the past year for Pixel and other phones with no clear solution. I tried clearing Storage and Cache for Google Play Services but it didn't help.

just checking that you have given google app location permission and location is on.
another thing is i'm also using nova launcher in a very minimal way but that might have something to do with it.
i discovered by searching that it's a pretty common issue. but if it's something you want and you can have it by using a different launcher try out a different launcher for a week, maybe. good luck in finding a solution.

I found the solution. I'm on basic phone launcher ( no launcher installed or rooting done).
Just enable location on and go to your Google account and turn location history on.
Then restart with location turned on.
It's there now.

Found sort of a solution
It isn't the best solution, but it works (at least for me it does). I found that if I put another at a glace widget on another screen (so there are 2 now, one on my home screen, one on another), it works and shows weather on both. If I remove it, the weather goes away again.. Hoping this is some sort of clue to get this fixed permanently.
