You need to find appropriate kernel 3.0 for your kind of ROM (based on ... iSC, JB...aokp, cm...), download it, put it on sd card on your phone, and flash it without wipe anything from recovery.
Hit thanks button if I helped...

You have 2 mistakes:
1) he maybe don't know who "sak" is (sakindia123)\
2) he might don't want to use it on CM10, and there is other builds, not only sak's.

Most of the dev will updated their thread for kernel 3 flashable zip some of them even released the new build of their ROM with kernel 3 check it....

Because standard rom is clubbed with lots of applications which are useless and not only take your space but ram too.....most of the custom roms are stripped version and available only after rooting...which will help you to get 'administrative' rights as in case of windows PC.
so you can even decide initial start up !!!!
the design of the stock rom makes me flash it again..

No! NExtGen is not mine! I'm just a user of it, because it gave me everithing that I need until there is CM9 at 100%(which may already happened, I've mist couple of the last builds)
This from the link that I gave you is enough to make whatever you want, whit any rom, or create your own from 0. So read it couple of times, watch the videos, to get the idea of rom making.

You need to set up dsixda kitchen if you want to make roms like jaggyRom etc , you may run it on cygwin.
Kitchen is very easy
But if you want to compile a Rom, you must have linux or ubuntu.
Oprn terminal
Then get git at first
Then using git clone fommand copy the source of Rom you want to build-lets say aokp
Thrn you can start building

To be very true Cm10.1 latest build is way better than Cm10 Rc2.. No offence.
Cm10.1 is smooth and the camera works also smooth video recording as compared to cm10.
check it your self.
Good work by both the devs (Erickas and Yajnab) :good:

download this zip..extract it
http://www.mediafire.com/?5fdy6rt814647c5
then put the file in system->etc->init.d folder.. you can go there by using any file explorer like es file explorer.then set the permissions 777. delete file 10mount2ds or something like that.basically which have mount2sd name from the same folder. i cant remember exact name.
and reboot.. you can find yourself having memory of your sd-ext partition
i have not made partition i just want a rom that is easy to install and good to go then.
I have tried Cyanogenmod 9 (Presently using) , Ateeqrom , Xenon
any suggestions like these rom which are really easy to install

Yes, you will need a JB kernel for a JB ROM AFAIK
1st u need to upgrade to stock jb... for jb kernel support.... the u install any jb rom
rom problem
add boot.img from the previously downloaded LeWa OS ROM to the ZIP without unzipping the zip
how to do dat???????
So ones upgraded to stock jb.. should we have to flash stock jb through sp or cwm each time before flashing any jb rom? Or we can flash any jb rom n number of times ones we upgraded to jb?

Once you have upgraded to stock JB, you don't have to reflash stock everytime you flash a JB ROM
But if you flash an ICS kernel, you'll have to reflash Stock JB again to flash JB ROM.
Solution Found !!
Hey guys i found this on this forum...
here's the download link for JB kernel: goo.gl/vbpy2
download the file..
1. after wiping cache/partion.
2. format system
3. flash the above downloaded zip
4. flash any custom ROM without rebooting.
These steps are needed if you're upgrading from ICS ROM to JB... and its needed only once to flash the JB Kernel..
Sorry for the silly question but where can i find boot.img?
I want to try Suvi Rom but instruction it says "Put boot.img from micromax JB rom in the Zip"
I searched my memory card there is boot.img in CWM Backup folder. is this the same file?

If i hav stock rom files then you can get the boot.img from it and just drag and drop it inside zip using winrar. It will ask to save do that.
