No menu button, any way to remap? - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hey, I love the phone, but I really miss having a menu softkey to use for program settings. Anyone know of a work around. I am currently on CM10 nightlies.
Thanks

Guess not, personally I go through every setting on a new phone/ROM just to see what I can do

Im on AOKP for my one s, i dont see a systems option in my settings menu...since the hardware buttons on the whole one series is the same would there happen to be a flashable mod for button remapping for the One X??? i wanna be able to long press recent apps for menu...i dont even have a 3 dot menu on my rom...the author of the rom has PM's disabled so I was wondering if anything for the one x could possibly work for the One S. thanks for the help in advance.

Mapping the volume button to take pictures

Is it a possible feature for roms or mods?

Not yet, but cm9 has it in pretty sure, so eventually it'll happen I'm sure.

Any progress in this area?

No idea of it will work. I'm sure that with more time searching than the 2 minutes that took, you can probably up with something viable, or at least learn the methods to do it yourself.

I can't remember any specific ones at the moment but I think there are a few camera apps in the Play Store that will let you do this. I think Camera FV-5 is one of them.

I was wondering if Tasker would handle that as well. I've never installed it, though. I imagine that anything is possible with root and a little effort.

[WIP] Volume Rocker Wake

I always liked this mod on my other phones. Only thing better is sweep to wake and we have to wait for kernel source for that. This mod comes from our brother EVO LTE forum. Can someone here re-write this to work for us? Here is the thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1688556
I've been wanting this soooooo bad, somebody smarter than please make this work ))

This phone is hurting a little in the dev department. Not saying the devs we have are bad by no means, saying we have very few devs. Looking at the sprint Evo LTE forums, T-mobile One s forums, International One X, tons of custom roms and mods from devs ive seen for years. i mean TONS! Not so much over here.
DAMN YOU ATT and your locked BL. Scared a bunch of people away!
Notourious from the Atrix devs might be upgrading to HOX in the near future. I was speaking to him and thanking him for his work on the Atrix and he mentioned it to me.

From what I have seen, most devs don't frequent the General section. My suggestion would be to chime in one of the existing Development threads and ask if the OP/ other devs would be interested in the port.

Volume Rocker Wake works on CM9 Alpha 5
I've been using CM9 Alpha 5 for a few hours now and it's great !
The first think I set was the Volume Rocker Wake as the Power Button is not as easy to press when using most cases covering the power button.
To enable it, go to SETTING --> DISPLAY --> VOLUME ROCKER WAKE
it enables waking the phone by pressing the volume rocker EITHER up/down.
There is no way to specify one or the other
However, it works great ! I'm really liking CM9, my only complaint is the missing HTC Camera which was just amazing with the hardware burst (I'm still looking for a way to flash it if that's even possible).
Volume wake on CM9 does *not* work when the phone is in deep sleep mode, which is basically after more than 2 minutes of inactivity.
Man i hope this comes available for us! This feature saved my power button on my tbolt! We all know how many problems that device had!! ;-)

Just needing icon identification

Does anyone know what icon set this is? I have seen them used around quite a bit but I'm not sure of the name or where to find an apk. I want to see if I can get them working on Viper. Thank you!!
Oh PS, thanks for treating me like I'm a complete idiot.

Dilemma: get One or wait?

This has been bugging me for a while now, and just wanted to hear some opinions.
Should I opt for HTC One or should I wait for a possibly improved one?
Likes: design, speakers, battery life
Dislikes: 2 capacitive buttons, bazel

The two buttons and lack of funds killed it for me. Can't stand the thought of only two buttons.

Exactly... But I heard you can use the HTC logo as a menu button, thus 3 capacitive buttons? Not sure if that's fully functional

HTC logo button hack

I was wondering if it is possible to turn the htc logo (below the screen) into a touch button. This was possible with the original One M7 and so i was wondering and hoping it was possible to do it with this phone. Any info, links and help would be great! thanks in advance:laugh::good:
