Hello all, I recently got a Nokia lumia 800 (love it) but I'd like to flash it to one of the windows 7.8 on navifirm, ive searched the forum and cannot find anything similar in question so i'm asking here, after looking through what navifirm has to offer I can only say this is the one I should choose as there are none specifically for virgin media mobile phones, would this be the correct one to use? Hello,
I was looking to buy an 8X and had a few questions before I do I was hoping someone could/would answer:
1. I was wondering if anyone can post suggestions of reputable retailers that sell the "HTC Windows Phone 8X Unlocked" that will work on AT&T with 4G LTE.
Please note I am looking for the official "Unlocked" version straight from HTC.
2. Is it possible to share the internet via Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/USB with the 8X to a PC or other device?
3. Can any one post highly recommended custom ROMs for the 8X?
I am coming from an older HTC HD2 using Dutty's ROMs and I am looking to see what I can do similar with the new 8X phone.
Thanks.
1. I bought it straight from Bell Aliant (Canadian AT&T). Hence, I couldn't recommend you any retailers.
2. Sure is! As far as I know, you can only do a Wifi Hotspot.
3. There's no custom ROMs for WP8. It's a Windows Phone, really not as open as Android. But really, you don't need a custom ROM. I was an Android fanboy before switching to Windows Phone. I loved the idea of customizing my phone and using the latest, fastest ROM. However, this phone is seriously the fastest phone I've ever used, without even having a custom ROM.
I bought an unlocked and unbranded Bell (Canada) 8X. It works 100% on ATT after a couple of tweaks like APN's. I believe that AT&T and Bell are the only two versions that will work with AT&T's LTE. Do some research and check out the exact model numbers before purchasing.

My partner has recently got a nokia lumia 820 which is locked to (UK) T-Mobile. Ive always thought that in the uk the phones were sold unrestricted but looks like I'm wrong.
After searching around with no luck, I'm wondering if anyone knows a way of unlocking these phones to any network without having to go through websites etc. I know in the past I've flashes different network firmware onto galaxy s2 as a work around but not done anything to the windows phone yet

Hi,
I have a Nokia Lumia 822 from Verizon arriving next week. I'm new to WP8 and the Nokia Lumia series.
Can anyone suggest any resources or links to sites where I can read more about getting the most out of my device?
Is there anything I should be aware of before using it for the first time? I've heard a few stories about 822 users on T-Mobile having problems with SMS sending/receiving after a certain (Portico?) update. Do I also need to be aware of such firmware updates?
Hello, fellow members of xda-developers forum.
I have been looking for way to use tablet as cell phone, and I have found that some people figured out how to
do it by using custom ROM on models like Nexus 7 or Samsung Galaxy tab.
I know that Samsung Galaxy tab, and Sony Xperia Z3 Tab compact have a function of voice call, but I am not inclined to
buy those product because I do not like the policy of those brands.
As far as I made researches about it, some tablets with GSM broadbands can be modified to use the voice call.
Among the tablets, Nokia Lumia 2520 LTE on Expansys.com version seems to support the feature above.
Has anyone tried to install Android OS on Nokia Lumia 2520 and enable the GSM voice call?
I am sorry for my limited English skill if you struggle with understanding my post.
