-= Features =-
★ Plays Your Ringtone instead someones ringback tone!
★ Supports: Different Ringtones for each Contact and Group!
★ Supports: Bluetooth Headset (A2DP and older standards)!
★ Design: White Holo theme for all Android versions!
★ Notification bar icon!
★ Music stop button on call screen!
Android OS limitations:
Beeps and Ringback tone are not completely silenced. This limitation is because of Android OS Architecture. Android does not allow to silence call sound stream. So, maybe, you'll hear it on the background or maybe not. It depends on ringtone that you'll select.
Anyway, at the moment, there is no way to automatically stop playing music when: "subscriber is busy", "not available", etc. Most likely you'll recognize such message by specific tone of narrator.
Try a Free version!
There are some limitations in free version, but you will see main principles anyway!

okty2k, it's first time, that someone reports on such strange bug
The Volume is set for Music Stream and music playback is going via this Music Stream
If Volume isn't changing - music going via another Stream, for unknown reason.
I guess it's something with software on your device
Try to reboot it, sometimes it solves strange cases
well, I guess that's the case. Because the music volume I turn to zero and still the volume is to high. Actually, there is no change when moving the volume in the application.
edit: I will try also on Xperia Arc S and come back with the behavior description. For now, like I said, due to an unknown problem, on Huawei P1 is not working. The volume seems not to change no matter what.
edit 2: work flawlessly on Xperia Arc S. any way yo identify the problem on P1? On P1 everything else works perfectly, I did not have any problems at all.

okty2k, tnx for your reply
I'm glad that app works good on Xperia Arc S
About Huawei P1: I don't have this device, so I can't test on it, but I think, that problem is in software - either in ROM or in some other audio-related program, as, for some reason, Music Stream constant is not working for you
But, not to start finding which piece of software makes it so, I have idea of workaround for you: try to set music volume while you using standard audio player.
Not sure, but it might work

Hey everyone. I'm proud to announce that I am starting to create a set of applications that target focused functionality, and that aim to be free of bloat and unnecessary permissions. The first application in this series is called Volume Popup.
The goal of this application is to allow control of all core Android volumes (Media, Ringer, Notification, Alarm) from one clean interface. It uses a transparent background, so you can see what you were doing before you launched it. It should support any custom launchers and launch methods as well. In addition, it is specifically NOT a widget, so as to minimize resources needed and not require background processes.
Note that it does have 2 separate sliders for ringer/notification, which are locked together on 3.0+ (Honeycomb/ICS/JB), but allow separate adjustment under Gingerbread.
I would love your thoughts and feedback, and if you like the app, please leave a positive review. 5-stars are my favorite.

Known Bugs, Upcoming Features, FAQ, Other Thoughts
Known Bugs
None.
Upcoming Features
Several ideas, including a pro version with Tasker integration, allowing each change to trigger a Tasker event, or to allow the program to be launched via a Tasker Intent.
The application can detect volume keys being pressed and pop up at that time. Only downside is that this requires a background service. I'm looking into this now.
FAQ
A question must be asked more than once for it to be "frequent." Since nothing has been asked, this bullet is an existential quandary.
Other Thoughts
Crunchy peanut butter is significantly better than creamy. Discuss.
Thanks, does the app open up when you press volume +/- buttons?

For now, I had it just on app launch, but I can certainly do that. The only downside is that involves having a background service, which adds overhead to your device. This is something I have planned for very soon though for those who want it.
I think that if there was an option for a JB themed version (below as an example), and it could be controlled by the volume buttons I'd download this.

Understood. I'm looking into a version that hooks the volume keys now. Still learning to adapt the themes from one OS version to the next, so it was my intent for this to already have the Holo look, but it started getting messy, so I opted for simplicity in version 1.

So new challenge - from what I have gathered, it's not possible for apps to hook volume keys when they are not active. So, in other words, a background service can't hook in to know you have pressed a volume key. This rather stinks, but I'm trying to see if there are any workarounds. If you're aware of another app that CAN do this, please send a link so I can reach out to the author.
I do agree with you, crunchy is better than smooth. But, there are times when smooth is easier to use. For example, in between crackers or for certain recipes...
Also, great app! Thanks for committing to both minimalism and quality!
I like

Same settings, but on the same screen with a non-intrusive interface. Also, working to get volume key integration, so it will pop up when you use a volume key anywhere.

I can do that, for certain. I'm already engaged with the suggested developer on how to integrate the volume key functionality, so let me get that sorted out first, then I can add more options for things like notifications, etc.
Quick update - still waiting to hear back from the developer with his sample code. Sorry for the delay; I am as frustrated as some of you.

Nice and sleek design. Love the app functionalities.
There's a bug though. Whenever you start a timer, pause it, delete it and then create another. The pause button remains to "play"
Beautiful! I don't have the issue of pause button remains to play, running on Pantech A850L Stock 4.1.2
Very nice) I also don't have problems with pause button on my samsung galaxy s

@kayusumi/@Balter could you please try this steps to be sure the pause/play button is working?
Start a timer, tap on pause (the time flash and the button turn as play), when still in pause delete the timer with the trashcan, set a new timer, and you should see the PLAY button instead of the pause.
Could you confirm this bug?
Thanks you all.
Sandro, Pizza Entertainment
Ok, if doing so, the new timer would start with a play button
I am sorry that I didn`t see "pause it", I just delete it when running and create a new one
Wow!!!!
Beautiful Timer got a mini review on Android Police (with 40 other apps but it is ANDROID POLICE!!!)
http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/0...-the-last-2-weeks-61813-7313/#beautiful-timer
Thanks a lot.
Very nice looking timer Has some very nice features and options too.
I had some questions and suggestions:
Questions:
1. Will you be adding customizable colours to the timer wheel by any chance? (Like you can change the timer name, be able to customize the colour too.)
2. Are there any small widgets (eg: 1x1) that can show the time remaining on a/the particular timer(s)? I did notice you have a larger widget for selecting/starting saved timers, but that's not what I'm after. I would like to see a small widget that simply shows the Timer name, circle icon remaining and time remaining.
Suggestion: I would like to be able to link timers together (ie: Expiry of Timer 1 sounds the alarm and starts Timer 2. Timer 2 could be linked to start Timer 3, or even a new instance of Timer 1 (and increment/ decrement a user defined counter?).) Yes, this sounds similar to a Tabata timer, but that's not the intent.
I have recently needed to use an icepack due to injury and I haven't been able to find a good timer that can link timers together.
The use case is as follows: 20 mins of icepack, 120 mins of rest, 5 mins of prep, repeat. If I could link timers together, I could easily manage this without having to keep restarting the timers each time.
Thanks.
Widget oddity
Hi,
I created some presets with the timer which I have now deleted as I don't want to use them anymore. For some reason, these presets always appear when I put the widget on the desktop. They aren't appearing in the app itself though.
This has occurred even after installing on a new device (must be linked to my Google account or may be related to a Titanium backup). I've tried clearing app data / reinstalling but they still appear. Is there anyway to clear the presets from the widget?
Thanks.

Hello James,
we do use google data backup so that the presets should be saved on the cloud. It may be that you hit a very strange bug where you can't delete it. Keep trying to delete the presets within the app. Eventually google will sync your presets and you'd be ready to go.
Cheers.
Hi,
I have been using your timer for close to TEN years - love it!!! - especially the snooze buttons when the app is alarming.
But I was using it on an Android 5 phone.
I recently moved to an android 10 phone (Pixel 4a) and your app has some significant issues:
1) It will no longer snooze when you press the volume buttons.
2) It does not reliably turn on the display when the phone is locked
3) It does not show your full-screen alarm page when the phone is locked.
4) After I unlock my phone, your alarm page only has a "Dismiss" button on that screen - there is no "restart" or "Snooze" buttons on it.
So, is there any chance of you updating your app to work with the newer versions of Android?
Floating Equalizer has recently had it's biggest update so far and is now an actual Floating Equalizer with a floating interface, not only that but you can now create, edit and delete your own custom presets, the settings are also always saved so you don't have to keep setting it up!...
The Official PlayStore Description:
PLEASE READ: Before you use Floating Equalizer, please make sure that EVERY other standalone and or stock EQ is not enabled! as you may encounter problems!
Do you have a music player without an equalizer? or are you just tired of all the complicated and advance equalizers?
Well whatever the case maybe, Floating Equalizer can help...
And it even works on YouTube!
With a simple design and very simple features, you can now change how the audio's sound without having to change multiple options
Floating Equalizer has been tested on: YouTube, Google Music, Tunein, MX Player and Spotify!
The current features are as follows:
Now with 10 bands! (Mary vary on some devices)
10 Presets and you can even create, edit and delete your own personal presets!!
Using Floating Equalizer has now never been easier! Rather than the floating button, you quite literally have a Floating Equalizer, which can be minimized to the background!
and well... that's it, just a simple, clean, equalizer.
You can see the latest update info at the bottom of this thread....
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.simplistic.floating_equalizer
And that's all, i hope you all like it!

Right the app has been on here for a few weeks now and i haven't updated it (Due to other app commitments) so here's the first update for simplistic equalizer.
Before the update, it was just 5 sliders or more, depending on what phone you have and although it worked, it just wasn't very useful.
The small update consists of:
Foreground service (No more resetting)
Icon change
and some minor tweaks to the UI.
And that's it.
Also if you've been on this thread before you'll know that i'm trying to make enough money to get my google dev account, because i literally have no money so there is one banner ad, but that's it, so don't worry about stupid pop ups! so yeah, just hope you all like the small update

New version not compatible with Galaxy S4
Had to get a new phone and am now told that this isn't compatible. I am running 5.0.1. It was working before I had to replace the phone. What should I do? I love this app!
Thank you for a very useful app !!
Works as intended on Redmi Note 2 (Android 5.0.2 MIUI 9),
@randylsmith - you need to do a little workaround
1. Go to Play Store via browser, for ex. on a computer (not Play Store app),
2. Find a site which allows to extract .apk files from Play Store.
3. Copy and paste Play Store's app link to the extraction site.
4. Download apk
5. Copy apk file to phone
6. Install
7. Enjoy
Don't know why exactly Play Store says it's not compatible,
in my case after these steps above - everything works fine..
Especially on YouTube app where there was no equalizer - this app really helps by staying in background
and applying more BASS to my headphones
Tried several download sites. Each one says " this app is not compatible with our downloader".
Now what?
This is a rewrite version of Laisim Music Player that I can't support due to many reasons (the source is lost and the backup source is too old, many issues with the source as well). I am so sorry for that.
From Onemp 2.1.4, I will reuse the Laisim package name and removed the Onemp package name. So you guys might want to download from this Play Store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andatsoft.laisim

Compare to the Laisim, there are many features are removed (Visualizer, separate EQ (Onemp offers the EQ also but It applys for all tracks, etc), but many of them are improved (song scanner now is very fast, better supports theme, cross fade, etc). However, one thing to note, Onemp supports Android Lollipop 5+ only.
Key features:
- Support regular audio format, high definition *.flac file also
- Fade in/out when pause/play song, cross fade when play next/previous
- Display album length
- Auto find missing album art
- Play song from folder, playlist, artist, album, genre
- Support theme ( 3 themes with 6 color options. More themes and colors will be added soon)
- Support sleep timer (up to 90 minutes)
- Support playback speed/pitch configuration
- Support widgets style (currently, there is 1 style only, more style will be added soon)
- Tag editor

FAQ:
1. Onemp does not detect my external SD card path. What should I do?
This issue has been fixed in v1.0.3 but if you still found a bug related to this, please let me know. Thanks
2. Onemp is playing a track but can not hear anything?
The crossfade feature (turn on by default) might be the root cause in this case. Please try to turn off to see if it works

When I start writing the app, I have no idea about its name so I call it XMP
When I start publishing the app, I still have no idea about its name so I keep the name XMP.

Sure, Click the song title on the Player screen, if the setting set the click title action to open track info, the Song info dialog will appear. This screen displays some useful information that, of course, include the bitrate.
Another way is that you click on the song item in the list of songs, then select Info. Hope that help
Really like this. Are you planning to show album art on the lock screen?
Yes, Its one of the features that will be added in the next versions.
Looks like a good app although I cannot see an option to enable external SD card. It just reads songs from the internal memory. Also, can anyone let me know if it plays ALAC?

It has support for external storage but your path to sd card might be something special so that It can't detect. Could you please show the external sd path of your device?.
For the ALAC type, It does not support at the moment, sorry.
A new version has been updated. This update contains some small changes only though.
I loved Laisim so I'm really excited about this. Downloading...
EDIT: I love the player, but I can't work out how to scan folders in Ext Sd card, could you advise please.
Sent from my SM-G900F using XDA-Developers mobile app
As someone mentioned here, it doesn't see my external SD card with over 1200 songs. It only shows a few notifications, some ringtones, and one downloaded song that is on my device. All the other music apps I've tried or use find the songs with problem.
I like the material design very matured

Short description
Volumee lets you skip tracks while listening to music - just hold down the volume button. Root is NOT required!
Features
Might be active both while the screen is on and off
Works correctly regardless of the application that is currently open
Compatible with all music apps (song will be skipped in the currently used player)
The main service of the app works in the background, responding to clicks on the volume buttons only while the music is playing. Otherwise volume buttons work as usual.
Road map
I'm planning to add following features to the app:
Add customizable actions on volume buttons long press (e.x. launch assistant/app, perform some routine)
Add visual feedback for user while performing action (using system alert window)
Excluded apps - possibility to disable service when opening specified app
Many more - if you have any idea just tell me :highfive:

Left a 5-star rating on the Play Store. Very good app.
MIUI shows a permanent notification with "Background activity" but maybe that's a MIUI thing...
Thanks @MirceaViP!
You can easily disable the permanent notification by disabling the "Foreground activity" notification channel
Take a look at the below video:

Great
Very usefull application,i'll give 5 stars
Does it work with screen off on samsung phones?
Hello there is a bug.
The song skips but the volume changes, too.
When i want to skip to the next song it change the volume to max.
Phone: Xiaomi Mi9 Lite
Rom: MIUI 11.3.3 Global

Hmm, interesting. Do you have accessibility service enabled and notification access granted? Does It happen when screen is on, off or always?
I think i know the reason. I just wanted it when the screen is off.
When its set on "Always" everything works fine.
When its set on "Screen off" it makes the described problem. Possibly it causes the bug that the screen is not completly off due the in-screen fingerprint sensor

Thanks for describing the problem - I managed to reproduce the issue on my Xiaomi MI 8 (MIUI Global 11.0.6). The bug occurs when there's Always On Display enabled and the Acitivity Mode is set to "Screen off". I will take a look on logs and hopefully eliminate the problem in the next release
Update (v1.4)
Hi everyone!
New update has been released!
I managed to fix the bug related to "Always on Display" and other features that keep screen partially on (e.g. in-display fingerprint sensor).
I've just uploaded the new version to Play Store (v1.4). It will be available to download within a few hours.
@Wyecee - check it out, it should work properly now
Hey i tried it.
It's better now, but it is not perfect till now
When you change to the next song the volume deceases one step.
When you change to the previous song it increases one step.
After few songs the volume is on max or min depends on how often you change the song.
Thank you for the fast fix and support.
Maybe you can fix this too so that the volume doesn't change ?
And an English description and title in the play store could be better for the international users.
Thank you for post.
Update (v1.5)
Hi!
New update has been released to Play Store - it should be available right now (1.5)!
It should fix the bug related to unwanted volume level changing while skipping tracks on some phones.
@Wyecee - please check if the newest update fixed the problem with volume.
It seems like the Always on display bug is back on MIUI 12.
Skipping songs with the screen turned off only works when setting the Activity mode to Always.
A workaround I found is disabling the "Always-on display" (com.miui.aod) app with Titanium Backup,
but that obviously breaks AOD functionality.
Thanks for making this btw. It's very useful when it works.
Update (v1.9)
Hi!
New update has been released to Play Store - it should be available in a few hours (1.9)!
Changelog:
1.9 - added option to disable/change the strength vibration
1.8 - fixed volume slider popup display timeout
1.7 - fixed compatibility with multiple players
- improved detecting music playing and active players
- displaying notification when any permission is missing
- added option to choose long click delay
@smgb66 - a lot things changed since 1.5 version, the whole mechanism that detects when music is active and whether the app should be active was replaced. You can give it a try
Thank you for app it is useful.
Heyy thanks for this app, it works great on One UI 3.0 with Android 11, just a thought is it worth exploring the implementation of this using the Native android.permission.SET_VOLUME_KEY_LONG_PRESS_LISTENER , instead of relying on Accessibility and Notification services it'd make the app leaner! There's another one that did this
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/app-8-0-skip-track-by-volume-keys.3914337/
but it seems to be broken for a few months now, only working on Android 11 when the screen is on.
Thanks and keep up the awesome work, very slick and fun app!
tried this on my moto edge 20 fusion running android 11 stock rooted.
but it doesn't work while using the phone as a media player, and casting to a speaker. does anyone know of an app or method that will work for changing tracks while casting?
