[Q] HELP: After last OTA update - bricked! - HTC One S

My phone is almost bricked after todays last update.
I can enter the settings (after I slide down the menu from the top) and that's it. There is NO WAY to access the home menu or start panel - also, my HTC One S was pretty warm.
I've restarted the phone for 15-20 times but no effect...
It's branded (T-Mobile) phone, rooted and some of the bloatware was removed (nothing too important, tunel radio, soundhound, FB and games)...
Is there any chance that this is possible to repair?

Damn you! Your phone isn't even bricked it's so annoying when people say their phone is bricked when it still lives! My phone is completely dead and it won't turn on! THAT IS A BRICK! Now boot into hboot and run a stock ruu. You should be fine.

Not if you were on 2.20 before getting to QHUSB_DLOAD. If that's the case, get ready to pay $65 for jtag.

Ya it seems you have had problems since day one with even the simplest tasks. If you are determined its really easy to learn you just have to read up and follow instructions...but hey to each his own...

Why would you update when we have jellybean already?!
To get at&ts bloat?
Why not wait for a custom ROM based off of it?

You don't.. SuperCID + OTA = brick.
No not a soft brick. A soft brick is what happens while you are downgrading hboot.

Try simulating a battery pull. Hold power until the phone shuts off, then press and hold volume down until the bootloader comes up and try again.

Hmm.. I will use my psychic powers to figure out how to fix your issue!
Or you could just tell me some more information.. Hboot, software version, what method are you trying and what exactly is happeneing?
i am currently running viper rom and h boot 2,14 and i am s on
and have super su installed
tried this method
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317536
i wonder if the issue is sd card related as google music isnt seeing my music stored on the phone where as the stock player is
when trying to do the super cid its like its cant write to the phone memory
screenshot here

That method won't work with S-on on 2.14 hboot lol
Whoever made that post should have made that clear.
In any case 2.14 has write protection, stopping you from writting the CID and the exploit for 3.18 doesn't work for non-at&T phones.
You would need to make a linux boot disk and run JET tool to downgrade your hboot and then Super CID, then S-OFF then RUU.
Also, that method is for the HTC ONE and you are in EVITA one xl forums... what phone do you have? You're all over the place -_-
Sorry

Yeah unfortunately that's the case. Either send to htc to have the motherboard replaced for a couple hundred bucks, or get a jtag repair done for much less.
