I have sgs3 Verizon with cm 10.1. I want to edit certain apps to not use gps (facebook). I like how miui has the function but is there an app for other roms? O know ive heard of an app that does it but cant remember it.

In a previous ROM I used (unfortunately I can't remember which one) there was a note taking/notepad-like app that had handwriting recognition and had a very simple interface. I'm thinking the icon was red and white maybe??
I realize this description is rather vague, but does anyone know what this might have been called or if there are any such apps available? I have searched the google store and none seem to work the way I remember the app working.

What Rom are you running. I am on SlimBean 2.9 and installed it straight from market. Could be because of the multi DPI market in Slim Bean Rom, but if you downloaded it before on stock rom I am of no help currently.

Its a decent app and I bet its the DPI difference between us that allows me to run the app. I believe I am at DPI 182. Are you at factory 240?
For taking notes (or saving stuff like pics, screenshots, files etc.) just use Evernote.
If you want a text editor, I'd go with jota+.
My friends are always sending me emojis but i can never see them, is there a way to install emojis like on the stock jelly bean sms app?

I don't know about stock SMS, but I use GO SMS pro and the emoji plugin works great. There is also an emoji keyboard in the play store, but I haven't used it so I can't say how well it works.
I've had that but i don't really like the feel of 3rd party messaging apps...

Which stock jelly bean SMS app are you referring to? I'm currently on Wang's Magic Mod and with that one, it looks like you have to enable emoji support in the settings menu, under extra settings. It doesn't show all of them though.
Could i install that one onto stock ota ics?

I know you can install the ROM on ota ics, but I don't think you can install just the SMS app, unless you can find one that is ported to ics. If you're rooted, I think there is a way to add/replace the emoji font, but I haven't personally tested that.

OK I'm having a problem with my Samsung infuse 4G. I just put ice cream sandwich on my phone and ever since some apps are now incompatible with my device that were compatible so is this something I can fix or is this something I just have to deal with. Depends on the app.. I know a lot that didn't update from GB. Flash is a big one of the top of my head. If you have a TB backup you could try to restore it that way.

Yeah I'm not sure I read alot of posts talking about editing the build.prop file to trick the market and I followed the instructions and it still didn't work. Also read a few posts about it being a problem with the LCD density tried changing the settings and still incompatible apps in the market.

I just encountered another problem I'm able to send and receive SMS messages but I can't send or receive MMS messages I'm starting to think that this whole rooting the phone and custom roms isn't worth it unless I can resolve these issues. Anyone else having these issues, or does anyone have the solutions. Thanks for your time.

What apps are causing issues. I know the first time I went to ICS I had to adjust my APN settings. With the amount of people running ICS and JB without issue I'm sure we can help you through it.

I know a lot of development has stopped for ICS. Try moving up to JB. Either Scots cm10.1 or akop. Both are great.

Practically everything, except a select few like hdmi and 720p video recording.
4.2.1 is still missing a few options that need to be merged, but its quickly making progress.
I just got the latest 4.2.1 and everything works like a charm so far... Love it!

Dunno about TW. A long while back someone said you could edit your build prop file and trick it into think you're on a different network since Verizon blocked Google wallet
