Running fine on my gs3 with cleanrom 5.5.1 I forgot where I got it from. Its floating somewhere in the apps forum

Got it working on mine on multiple TW roms. Maybe you downloaded a bad zip. Try downloading another one and flash away.

I believe he means why isn't it included with the standard 4.2 gapps package and I too am wondering this. I read somewhere it had something to do with it not being open sourced yet but I could be wrong.

Really? The CM10.1 thread says that it's not available on non-Nexus devices.

Any idea why it is missing going from 3.6.5 to 3.6.6? Nothing about it in the change log.

I believe for CNA you have to flash face unlock
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda premium
I'll have to keep looking.
I don't remember flashing anything other than MMS fis when I originally installed the ROM.
Edit: Found it on another thread. Re-Flashed Google Apps and it is working now.

Man,
My questions must be so stupid that I can't even get someone to respond!
When trying to flash certain things using CWM, I am prompted to install an “untrusted zip"...
Has anyone experienced this and is it safe to install untrusted ???
Please help

Is whatever you're flashing stated as compatible with your device/made for your device? Have you tried flashing with a different recovery (If available)?
I have Verizon Samsung Galaxy S3 and was trying to flash the nexus 4 boot animation..
This happened a few days ago when I tried to flash some of the android 4.2 system dump.
Both times it says “ install untrusted zip". I just tried to toggle verification and that did not help.
Thanks for helping

You might as well just make a backup and then flash .
I'm such a noob I don't even know how to make a backup, I've been trying to figure this out for days!

This is due to you having stock recovery. It will not flash anything not signed by samsung

No. It's not safe to run untrusted.zip. It may be contained with viruses and may screw up your phone or PC. Only run files with actual names because you don't know if it's good or bad. It can crash your phone, not to mention your PC.

"Untrusted" is not the file name. The recovery is just stating that the file is "untrusted" since its not official from the manufacturer.
Hopefully your phone is rooted, if it's not I can't help ... make sure you have an unlocked bootloader and install Rom Toolkit from Google Play. Rom Toolkit has a bunch of boot animations for free, including the nexus 4 animation. Also, it will install these from the app itself - much easier than doing it in CWR.

Hey rookie, welcome to xda!
While I've got your attention..
Can you guys help me with something else??
I'm running jellywiz RLS12, yesterday I flashed a 4.2MOD pack over jellywiz. After flashing it, I realized I didn't want it. I tried to research how to “unflash" stuff but was unsuccessful, ended up having to do a factory reset and reinstall jellywiz.
Any pointers on how to do this more effectively??
Thank you!

I am a little confused with the two downloads on the post. I am using jedi jelly 2 at the moment, it runs great, but I saw that there was an update on it. Jedi jelly 3 rotation Fix (ull3) flash bar. Is what I downloaded. But no matter what I do with it, I get a boot loop.
Tried flashing it as a fresh install.
Tried flashing it over jedi jelly 2
Am I doing something wrong?
I looked for other questions like mine on the jedi jelly thread, but none of it answered my question. Is it a separate rom or an update for the older one?

yup, the flash bar was turned on by default. i only had a few problems with it, but that was my fault, i didnt follow the install instructions 100% i think it was only that i didn't fix permissions like it said to, but after fixing them it fixed all of the problems i had.
as far as i could tell, language and input was not working.(works now after i fixed the permissions, like the forum said)
it also force rebooted at about 30%, then powered on with 14%

I recently flashed Dark Knight ics on my infuse 4g.
The main issue that I am having is that previously compatible apps on gingerbread, are no longer working on my custom ics flash. how can I resolve this?
Hi, I hear you have my ROM? Haha, anyways some apps are still in development for newer Android versions than gingerbread.

It is the bank of america app, its been released for ics and jellybean already....
My best bet would be that it only has gingerbread support for this specific device, but i'm unsure of what compatibility options you can set. and based upon your response, this isn't an known issue that you know how to fix.
Is Dark Knight ever going to become jellybean, or is it stuck at ics since its a port?
You could try changing the build.prop just to download it, other apps may not like it, do change it back after its installed

Running pretty smooth on my infuse with no problem.
I'm running beanstalk.
Little bit of lag is because of the hardware.

What do you think I need to change? I tried changing the model, but couldn't download still.
You could just get an app called 4shared. Its much easier than changing the build.prop

I'm trying to root my s3 and the goal is in the end to put cm on it. I'm bummed the installer doesn't work for our phone, but is there a good guide on here or elsewhere with the files I'll end and a how to?
Thanks in advance ( FYI, I've flashed and rooted multiple times before just never cm)
If you stop by Google and go to CyanogenMod's page, find the phone in the devices section. There are device specific guides there. If you want to try something else, go to the original development section, find the CyanogenMod ROM and follow the directions there.

I've found the site but I'm not too familiar with some of the steps needed. I've re rooted my device, I know now I need to unlock my bootloader. There used to be an app on the play store for this, is still there and whats the name of it does anyone know?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
Never used an app but using an automated system like that without knowing how to do it the real way ends up crippling you for the long road of wonderful Android. Here is a link to a sticky that has your info:

Read the instructions here once rooted/unlocked
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2405425
Yeah, those didn't really help me...if I gave the file on my sd card should I be able to flash it from there with rom manager or goo manager?
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
If you're rooted, and unlocked, do you have your nandroid backup set up with custom recovery? From there just use Goo Manager to boot into recovery, and then wipe your cache and then flash your ROM and appropriate Gapps pack. Process was fairly simple on my SIII using TWRP. Make sure you look up the appropriate Gapps zip before starting or you will wind up with key features inoperable and will have to reboot and load it onto your phone before finishing setup.
You'll like CM 10.1.x on the SIII, it runs very smoothly.
Nothing in the post I linked mentions Rom manager. The instructions work if followed.
Don't forget to do this either. Just in case. I've never had to restore, but i still have A & B covered

Not necessarily. I think I flashed my SIII with about 85%. Then again, I did most of the steps with it plugged into the charger EXCEPT for flashing the rom itself. It took about four or five minutes tops.
Has anyone tried both cm and slimbean? I'm thinking of trying slimbean first bc I have usee cm in the past but I keep reading slimbean is stable and gives great battery.
