Hi,
Everybody know problem of recording during live concerts.
That is impossible to grab properly level of sound because is to loud and sound is very crap.
I think I found solution. Needs use Hidden Menu.
3845#*760# (for ported ICS from SU760)
3845#*920# (for p920)
Hidden Menu
Device Test > H/W Test Menu > Sound Test > Audio CAL Tool > SetGain > (Device Type)sub mic > AMIC 110 (decrease from 120 to 110)
Device Test > H/W Test Menu > Sound Test > Audio CAL Tool > SetGain > (Device Type)sub mic > D_MIC 110 (decrease from 149 to 110)
Click to collapse
For P920 v30A
Device Test/ Sound Test/ Audio CAL Tool/ SetGain/ > (Device Type)sub mic > AMIC 110 (decrease from 115 to 110)
Device Test/ Sound Test/ Audio CAL Tool/ SetGain/ > (Device Type)sub mic > D_MIC 110 (decrease from 138 to 110)

After reboot this settings will be reset.
I did try on concert:
1. Bad sound:

2. Good sound:

Audibility has been a persisting problem in LG Optimus Net P690. During a call, the person on the other end hears a very low voice, and keeps telling 'Speak Louder', which is annoying.
Here is a temporary solution to the problem. I hope that the developers will come up with a better solution.
1) Access the hidden menu [dial 3845#*690#]
2) Settings > Audio > MicAmp Calibration
3) Subsystem Calibration:
Vocoder = [06] ON_Chip_0
Gain Type = Left Mic
Set Data = 28
Touch 'OK' [Get Data will automatically become 28]
4) Press 'Back' button
5) Audio > Write ALL to EFS > OK
6) MicAmp Calibration > Subsystem Calibration:
Vocoder = [02] Stereo Headset
Gain Type = Left Mic
Set Data = 28
Touch 'OK' [Get Data will automatically become 28]
7) Press 'Back' button
8) Audio > Write ALL to EFS > OK
That's it. Audibility becomes much better.
However, on reboot, the changes are erased. Any help on that?

Thanks for tip, works perfectly on any LGP690 Orange branded Romania, os 2.3.4 and it saves ok to EFS so it's kind of a permanent solution. The save part may depend on firmware/brand. For example my LGP500 open EU 2.3.3g does not save to efs, gives error saving.
Hi everyone, i'm Dragos from Romania, a few moments ago i have tried you're method, and, it's working, i put 22 , not 28, i've tried many options, 22 is minimum, but...when i talk, and i put my headphones(simple stereo headphones, no mic), the microphone gain drops about a half. Can you please tell me how to set the values , so the gain to be the same like without headphones.
And another think: i want to increase the boost volume for the headphones, for music, can you tell me where i should enter , and what to modify? The're are a lot of menus and submenus for headphones...
Thank's and have a nice day

LE: Please help....:crying: now, on maximum level set for headphones, i hear like volume 1.... verry verry verry low.....
Can someoune suggest me a method to increase headphone mic volume?
I've a problem with headset volume, I can hear other people but people have problems to hear me. I think that volume mic is very low. I tested also other headphones but with the same results. Without headphones this problem is not present.
In other phone threads I found an intresting method: ie with galaxy s2 you have to enter in a secret menu and change default mic value. There is a similar method also with Optimus One?
I've a rooted phone with stock rom and kernel.
Thankyou
Hi, I found a partial solution starting from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1645682
Now for Optimus one, to increase headset mic sensibility I followed these points:
1) Hidden menu, on phone app dial: 3845#*500#
Now in this secret menu make attention because " with great power, comes great responsability"
2) Device test --> Sound test --> Audio call tool --> MicAmp calibration --> Subsystem calibration
3) I select:
Vocoder ON_Chip_0
Gain type = left Mic
(default data is 35)
--> Set Data 28 --> OK
4) Device test --> Sound test --> Audio call tool --> MicAmp calibration --> Subsystem calibration
Vocoder Stereo Headset
Gain type = left Mic
(default data is 35)
--> Set Data 28 --> OK
This will increase mic sensibility and now people can better hear me. I Personally tested this, and voice will became a little bit metallic but stonger and clear.
In the original guide there is also this point:
Write all to EFS --> OK
This command is present also in optimus one secret menu but it fail to permanently write these changes to memory.
This mean that on every reboot these changes will be lost and you need to set again these two parameters; I hope that someone with more experience can help me with this.
Mx player stopping automatically when i am trying to increase my volume...everytime happening like this only i fedup with this thing..please help me to find out the answer..i am using it in lenovo a6000
Settings > Audio > System volume
Settings > Audio > System volume panel
Try toggling those, see if it makes a difference.
Also try toggling this:
Settings > Player > Play alone
It'll force MX to take audio lock, see if that does anything.

Actually it's an firmware issue. When the earphone is inserted, increasing the volume above safe limit leads to crash.
Another bug with some lenova A6000 is Storage Access Provider doesn't shows either internal or external. There is no menu as well to enable show sdcard option. So, Those who are having firmware bugs can't grant sdcard write access to any app.

Hey guys , I need help with disabling the google voice feature , the one that comes up when you hold down a button on your earpiece . (Idk how to explain it in a more specific way LOL)
The thing is , recently I got myself a new earpiece (Jays one+) and there's a function that allows you to decrease or increase the volume by simply click+holding the botton or double clicking+holding the button , but Google voice search keeps on coming up . Is there a way to disable it or remove it .
Thanks in advance
Could you provide more details like:
ROM
Kernel

I'm using an app for the feature though . Jays headphone has their own app . I checked the settings and it was on control volume and level too . It still doesn't work .
The only way I think would be to disable google voice .
Try removing the Jay app and see if it works.

Nope , it doesn't work . It's worst now tbh LOL . The button only makes google voice come up , doesn't even pause music
Try to reflash stock if it is really annoying and see the result.

Seriously dude? You want the bug back?
May be it is the "Concert Hall" effect that you want? Turn on the setting and see if that is what you want: Settings -> Sound and Vibration -> Advanced Sound Settings -> Sound Quality and Effects -> Concert Hall.
