Mx player stopping automatically when i am trying to increase my volume...everytime happening like this only i fedup with this thing..please help me to find out the answer..i am using it in lenovo a6000
Settings > Audio > System volume
Settings > Audio > System volume panel
Try toggling those, see if it makes a difference.
Also try toggling this:
Settings > Player > Play alone
It'll force MX to take audio lock, see if that does anything.

Actually it's an firmware issue. When the earphone is inserted, increasing the volume above safe limit leads to crash.
Another bug with some lenova A6000 is Storage Access Provider doesn't shows either internal or external. There is no menu as well to enable show sdcard option. So, Those who are having firmware bugs can't grant sdcard write access to any app.

Hello,
While watching video on MX player and when i try to increase/decrease volume, brightness and seeking forward backward with one finger slide, it is not happening directly. In version 1.7.19 it happens directly. Post that version, i need 2 taps of finger to do the above actions. With the 1st tap, you will get that seekbar and then you need to tap 2nd and slide for those actions. This is very annoying and I REPEAT THIS PROBLEM IS NOT THERE IN VERSION 1.17.19.
I tried the below troubleshooting steps on the latest version and no luck in still using version 1.7.19 because it's free of that problem:
1. Restarted phone
2. Checked all MX player settings
3. Installed MX player codec (ARMV7)
4. Force stopped and cleared cache and data
5. Uninstalled and reinstalled the app.
6. Tried few older versions as well.
Disable System audio panel from Settings 》Audio. It won't appear again.
Hi, is there also a way to disable the message, when you increase the volume above 10, when headset is plugged in? Every morning and evening I have to increase volume to 13, and have to deal with this message. Message would make more sense once you exceed the default max of 15.

It's android's internal alert. I think it can't be disabled in the current version. But, I am not sure that whether it's possible to disable it permanently or not.
@bleu8888
Is there any workarounds?

No, there is no workaround because this message is not from application process but from Android audio system service. And Google did not make any way to remove it because this is violation to EU regulation.

Question: "My volume is stuck at 50% and won't go higher, why?"
Answer: Blame Google. See this: https://groups.google.com/d/topic/mx-videoplayer/-g9Mq6lIGAo/discussion
Quote of answer from original Google Groups thread:
This is an Android system "feature". Google added it to comply with EU laws. The EU requires companies to warn of "excessive volume on headphones" to protect your hearing.
If you go into MX Player Settings -> Audio -> Enable System Volume Panel, this will bring up the Android system volume panel whenever you change volume. This will bring up that volume warning at 50% that you see in other apps, so that you can clear it.
The reason this doesn't show in MX Player normally is because MX Player doesn't use the Android system volume panel by default. MX uses its own volume panel, the much cleaner, smaller one that we are used to seeing.
The warning shows up on Google Play Music because that app uses the system volume. If you are on headphones with any other app that uses the Android system volume panel, you would see the same warning.
Note that you'll have to manually acknowledge that warning every time you restart the device, as the phone system does not "remember" that you cleared it when the device restarts.

I don't see any setting which allows me to have the display turn off after some seconds when I listen to audio. IF there is a way to do this could someone explain how? Thanks
You can set Play Audio in the background, that way you can turn the display off mannually.

Thanks but not really answering my question. I'm looking for an automatic screen time time out setting.
No such option currently exists... the background play option is kinda the only way to do it.
Also, make sure that this is disabled: settings > player > screen > keep screen on
This is happening since last few versions of the free mx player, at least for me. Decreasing volume works fine. It's only when increasing, that this occurs. Also, it happens quite a lot of the time.
Increasing volume outside mx player works fine.
I'm using S7582, 4.2.2 (Samsung Galaxy S Duos 2).I use mx in companion with v4a (if that helps).

There is nothing special on changing sound volume level. It just calls a simple system function that makes volume changed. I guess v4a looks like having some issues.
As a workaround, you can make MX not touch system sound volume by unchecking Setting > Audio > System volume.

Hi,
This is a simple solution to fix the issue of automatic closing of file in MX Player in Lenovo A6000 (Lollipop 5.0.2) while volume level is increased above 10 when a headset is connected.
1. Go to Settings
2. Select Audio
3. Uncheck System Audio
Disabling the system audio will result in mute when media volume is set to 0kMute). There won't be any volume when you adjust the volume using gesture.
Can you explain your issue?
Does MX Player crashes when the volume is raised above 10?
Can you collect the logs immediately after the crash & upload here?

Where/How do I find the logs..?
Got it.. I've attached it. I tried opening two video files and it got closed above the volume level 10. This happens only when a HEADSET is connected.!

I registered here just to say thank you very much for this solution. It really helped in this weird problem.
Just a notice
In my Lenovo a6000 it's
1. Settings
2. Sound & notification
3. Turn off all volumes except media
Don't forget to reset the volume back after watching.
If I'm listening to audio in MX Player Pro on my Galaxy S7, it will interrupt for a second whenever I perform another operation, even though I have set the audio to play in the background. The settings for background audio are a little unclear (screenshot attached), but I've tried every configuration with no improvement.
This interruption happens when I minimize the screen with the home button or click the side button for the display to go blank, or basically any task. The audio does resume after that short interruption.
Is there a setting for it to play uninterrupted while performing other functions? Any info is greatly appreciated.

HI,
It's introduced in recent versions as there are some issues in certain devices.
We have also received the similar report from others.
In the next version, it will be optional. Users with issue can enable the new option to avoid the issue while others can get the old behaviour.
Thank you. Can you tell me the name of the option and where to find it in the settings once the new version is released?

There won't be any extra effort required on your end.
There will be a option called "Smooth Switch" just below background play. By default it will be disabled.
When it's enabled audio will fade out when you switch to background. It's for those who has issues.
