Audibility has been a persisting problem in LG Optimus Net P690. During a call, the person on the other end hears a very low voice, and keeps telling 'Speak Louder', which is annoying.
Here is a temporary solution to the problem. I hope that the developers will come up with a better solution.
1) Access the hidden menu [dial 3845#*690#]
2) Settings > Audio > MicAmp Calibration
3) Subsystem Calibration:
Vocoder = [06] ON_Chip_0
Gain Type = Left Mic
Set Data = 28
Touch 'OK' [Get Data will automatically become 28]
4) Press 'Back' button
5) Audio > Write ALL to EFS > OK
6) MicAmp Calibration > Subsystem Calibration:
Vocoder = [02] Stereo Headset
Gain Type = Left Mic
Set Data = 28
Touch 'OK' [Get Data will automatically become 28]
7) Press 'Back' button
8) Audio > Write ALL to EFS > OK
That's it. Audibility becomes much better.
However, on reboot, the changes are erased. Any help on that?

Thanks for tip, works perfectly on any LGP690 Orange branded Romania, os 2.3.4 and it saves ok to EFS so it's kind of a permanent solution. The save part may depend on firmware/brand. For example my LGP500 open EU 2.3.3g does not save to efs, gives error saving.
Hi everyone, i'm Dragos from Romania, a few moments ago i have tried you're method, and, it's working, i put 22 , not 28, i've tried many options, 22 is minimum, but...when i talk, and i put my headphones(simple stereo headphones, no mic), the microphone gain drops about a half. Can you please tell me how to set the values , so the gain to be the same like without headphones.
And another think: i want to increase the boost volume for the headphones, for music, can you tell me where i should enter , and what to modify? The're are a lot of menus and submenus for headphones...
Thank's and have a nice day

Hi guys,
I just upgraded from the BlackJack II to Jack. All is good except for a couple of annoying things.
- Garmin XT volume is way too loud. At 20% volume which is the lowest setting in the software I have to cover the speaker to muffle the navigation voice, otherwise its just too loud.
- There is no bandsel.exe in the Jack. With the i617 (BJII) I used to be able to lock the phone in to either GSM (850) or 3G (WCDMA). Now I have to use AdminSettings. It gives me very limited options. When I choose GSM it sticks to GSM, but if I choose WCDMA, it just says "No Signal". If I set it to Auto the phone keeps switching back and forth btw GSM and 3G when I am in a poor reception area.
Does anyone know any tricks or suggestions on how to get the GPS volume and the GSM/3G modes under control as it was on the i617?
Well, I just found a solution to one of my i637 problems (not having BandSel.exe)
I did some research and found that I can create a shortcut to *#2263# via a specific switch to a TestMode.exe. Here's what you need to do:
- Create a Shortcut "TestMode.lnk" and put it in the Start Menu. Inside the shortcut file it should read:
23#"\Windows\TestMode.exe" 0x1016
Once you run that shortcut it is the same as executing *#2263# from your phone. This finally allows to lock into either GSM or 3G or Auto. AdminSettings also works but is not as flexible frequency-wise.
Weird, I use GXT as well but my voume is not as loud as I like. (2 kids, radio, dvd player, ect)
Mine has the in program volume set to 100, and is linked to the phones volume as well
is yours linked to your phone volume too, and if so do you turn the phone down too.
Just an Idea. Hope it helps.

Hmm.. I just went into my GXT and checked the Settings. I don't see where you can link the volume to system settings. All I get under Settings >> Audio is the volume control in 20% increments. Its the same as using the system volume - looks like they are linked already. How do you change the link to have them controlled independently?
Hello Guys.
I tried this app and it works on Xperia Tipo with CM10 ROM, for all who want have a FM Radio.
You must follow this steps:
1./ You must be root.
2./ Install Spirit FM Radio Light or Spirit FM Radio Unlocked (Download for Google Play)
3./ You must have connected your earphones.
4./ Open app, if not sound don't worry, press menu button, select "Settings/Regional Band" and choose your region.
5./ Go back, select "Audio/Method" and choose "msm7x30 Mot XT557/Hua G300" (here you should listen sound)
6./ Finally go back to main screen, select a correct FM frequency and enjoy !!!.
The app works good, the only bad is the sound isn't to much loud , but it's better than nothing !!
I hope it function for you. I apologize, this is my first post

I update to CM10 FXP203 and the app don't works . Same thing happens to me in this update
Somebody just pointed me to this thread.
Last I heard audio wasn't working on Tipo. If it works for some of you on CM, but not others on CM, I'm not sure why.
Here is some of the email I received:
I have an issue with the volume I dont understand. I dont know if it is a problem in the app or in my phone. I put on settings scale volume to 30. When I try to change volume, if app is not focused it seems to change the scale volume to the lowest level and I only get back the scale level i set if I change again focusing the app.

My response:
I'm surprised you have FM audio working. I don't support the Tipo due to lack of success reports and it's disabled on Play.
Are both headset and speaker working ? I presume you tried Audio-> Method settings until it worked.
Try setting Audio-> Method to "msm7x30 Custom".
Then set Debug-> msm_snd speaker to 31 and msm_snd headset to 35 or 36. I don't recall if restarting Spirit is needed, but try the Speaker/Headset button a few times before restarting.
You can also try values of 26 or 27 for possible digital FM.
For focus or background audio issues, try enabling Debug-> Silent Loop and restart Spirit. If that doesn't help, disable it and enable Debug-> Play Audiotrack.
Is volume too loud with volume scale set to the default of 100 ? If not, leave it at 100.
And his:
I think I resolved the audio issue on background enabling Silent Loop. Tomorrow if it doesn't work I'll try the other solution. Volume is too loud for me with scale set to 100 so I leave it at 30.
I tried the other things you told me but speaker only works if method is set on msm7x30 Hua G300/Mot XT557. However volume is too low on it but I don't mind because I don't use it to listen radio.

I followed the steps and the radio is working!! Sound is a bit low but sometimes I managed to make it sound louder, really loud, just by pressing home button and volume+ and volume-. :victory:

Can someoune suggest me a method to increase headphone mic volume?
I've a problem with headset volume, I can hear other people but people have problems to hear me. I think that volume mic is very low. I tested also other headphones but with the same results. Without headphones this problem is not present.
In other phone threads I found an intresting method: ie with galaxy s2 you have to enter in a secret menu and change default mic value. There is a similar method also with Optimus One?
I've a rooted phone with stock rom and kernel.
Thankyou
Hi, I found a partial solution starting from here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1645682
Now for Optimus one, to increase headset mic sensibility I followed these points:
1) Hidden menu, on phone app dial: 3845#*500#
Now in this secret menu make attention because " with great power, comes great responsability"
2) Device test --> Sound test --> Audio call tool --> MicAmp calibration --> Subsystem calibration
3) I select:
Vocoder ON_Chip_0
Gain type = left Mic
(default data is 35)
--> Set Data 28 --> OK
4) Device test --> Sound test --> Audio call tool --> MicAmp calibration --> Subsystem calibration
Vocoder Stereo Headset
Gain type = left Mic
(default data is 35)
--> Set Data 28 --> OK
This will increase mic sensibility and now people can better hear me. I Personally tested this, and voice will became a little bit metallic but stonger and clear.
In the original guide there is also this point:
Write all to EFS --> OK
This command is present also in optimus one secret menu but it fail to permanently write these changes to memory.
This mean that on every reboot these changes will be lost and you need to set again these two parameters; I hope that someone with more experience can help me with this.
Anyone else? My call volume (both speakerphone and ear) are extremely low yet the sounds come through the speaker loud and clear for games, music, etc. I can't seem to find any mention of this anywhere other than a tiny thread on Reddit in the Moto G subreddit but no mention on how to fix it. Any ideas how to fix this?
Edit: Just restarted and it resolved itself. I had restarted after upgrade but it seems a 2nd one would've been required. Disregard.
Hello, i have the same problem but a restart doesn't resolve....the volume is very low. I tried a factory reset but nothing changed
having the same problem after updating to 4.4.2
Motorola's advise: lower the incall volume to min, switch the phone off and then on again.
Worked for me, permanent fix.

Just turning volume down and the up during call will fix it, It's a known bug in KitKat on our devices

I have the same problem but the said workaround doesn't seem to be working. Is this using the rocker all the way? The moto forums all give different solutions but none of them seem to be working.
I agree with zippo, just turn the volume down a notch during the call and it increases the volume.
Strange but it works!

Hello! Do you know any way to increase volume of voice speaker? It's too low for me. Device runs with root, CWM and CM11.

The fix is the same for internal or external earpiece or speaker. While in a call, turn the volume to 0, then turn back up to your desired output level.
Fix moto g volume
I have been helped a lot by this forum so i thought i would give back! You can fix this problem with es file explorer And root access. First turn on root explorer in es file explorer, go to menu, local, device, find folder etc. Click on the file named mixer_paths.xml. click the top right menu button and select edit then scroll down and find the line <ctl name="RX1 Digital Volume" value="84" /> ( your number may not be 84) and change that number to 94. Do the same for the next two lines (lines should look the same except with RX2 and RX3). Save and exit, then reboot and it should be fixed. You can try different numbers but much over 94 and my speakers distorted. All volumes will be increased including in call volumes. This may work for other phones but no guarantees
Hello!
I've noticed lately that my basic 2 earphones' volume is really low. Before I usually had them at around 70% volume because anything more was too loud. Now I have them on 100% and it's like they are playing on half the volume. My phone is Xiaomi Mi 10T 5G
There have been no recent changes to my device nor it's settings, haven't updated either so it's the same operating system as before (Android version: 11 RKQ1.200836.002) (MIUI Global 12.5.4 Stable)
I also want to mention that my device is unlocked and rooted using this exact guide : https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...tom-rom-working-on-xiaomi-mi-10t-pro.4246339/
Things I've tried so far:
Restarting my phone
Restarting the earphones
Hard reseting the earbuds
Reseting all the bluetooth connections on my phone
Changing my Region (I tried USA, India and Andorra. Didn't change anything)
Tried Disabling Absolute Audio (There was no such setting on my developer options)
Tried changing the Bluetooth Codec (As soon as I scrolled down a bit it was reseting to "System Default")
Volume Booster Apps (They make the sound terrible and still the volume is not as high as originally)
MIUI's Sound Optimization (Adjust sound to earphones made the sound slightly better but didn't change the volume at all)
I also thoroughly cleaned the earbuds (To make sure there wasn't anything physically blocking them) as well as my ears (To make sure I wasn't losing my hearing)
I really can't understand why or how this happened and I can't seem to find a working solution no matter what... I really need your help on this one!
I don't mind tinkering with my phone and it's settings so any solution and I mean ANY solution would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much for your time !
I fixed my mi 10 5g low speaker volume issue, u should give it a try by calibration of speakers
In settings>about phone>all specs, click on kernal version 5 times or more to open cit settings
Here u can test speakers, but to re calibrate click on 3 dots menu and goto additional setting find "calibrate speaker PA"

It worked. In my case, I headed to Bluetooth and ran the CIT test. It disconnected and on reconnecting, voilĂ ! It worked. Thanks man
I tried everything, nothing worked. Turned out that earphones turn up volume by long tapping on earphone touch area.
Had the same issue with my Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro. Turned out, the buds have their own volume control (set to 50% by default), which must be assigned to double/triple taps via Xiaomi Earbuds app. By default, there was no way of controlling this "earphone-internal" volume. And the phone control operated within the 0%-50% range. Strange indeed.
