I seem to be having this strange issue with google market.
if I go to my apps, I only (according to play store) 1 app installed which is nit the case. Secondly, play store seems to think I have never purchased an app, eg, I have purchased titanium back up pro, but the store is yet again asking me to buy it at 4.99 where as it would usualy state 'purchased' and download. Secondly on trying to repurchase it states there was an error with the wallet, i then receive 2 emails a charge mail, and a refund message.
when i log in to the the play store on the web, it clearly shows apps that i have purchased in my account history with no price and the word 'purchased' but if I navigate manually, using search, it will state a price and ask me to pay
also i am using the same google account, i only have one.
below is an image of the error
Same problem, after cleaning cache problem disappears with bringing new one, f*&king blank page! No installed apps nor purchased asking me to buy it again. "All apps" tab is empty too. Damn wtf is wrong lol..
what rom are you using buddy?
I have the same problem.
The Google Play Market support could not help yet.
I think it does not matter what ROM on phone, this is a google play bug.
Yea i suppose, but looking on google play, its not under any known issues :/ looks like it may be a while before its fixed.
I contacted the customer support.
They could not solve the problem yet
it seems that the lost connection between Google account and purchased apps.
I sent some screenshots in Google Play support and I hope that the problem will be solved.
I advise you to contact Google Play support: [email protected]
I think if there is a lot of posts about this issue, it will speed up the solution
phew glad to see I"m not the only one. I'm hit with this as well on THREE different androids (one of whom is stock unrooted so its not my fault rofl).
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24058132
I have also realized I am not getting application updates. its rare I go 3 days without a single update, maybe its because it thinks I have not purchased any apps lol
Any chances that your phone market local data is not yet synced properly with the google play ? I have seen that my apps (free or paid) is not listed out immediately right after I do a full wipe or flash a new rom with full wipe. But it will eventually show up itself after awhile with data/wifi connections. I personally didn't know how long it required to sync back but eventually they will appear back when I access the market again after I restored my personal data back.
By the way, did you guys try to check your account and performs a manual market sync in the Account settings section ?
yes yes and yes we've tried all the normal market fixes, downgraded market, uninstalled updates etc.
This issue is visible on multiple droids I own (including one unrooted stock) and on web market as well, its definitely server side
I'll check in on this thread too lol. I'm in exactly the same position. No response from google.

It seems not the same problem. This is another google play problem...
This discussion about the problem when the purchased app not in app-list when I trying to download&install app, google play say that the app is not bought.
Google Play thinks I have not purchased any apps.
I noticed that going to play.google.com and trying to install apps that way would give me errors. Trying to view my apps would have a page error. All my apps on my phone are gone, but my tablet has them oddly. Weird!

I have them on my phone and not my tablet! I think it might be related to market version whether or not they disappear device side. Can only assume the newest versions of market/store download the list from the server, rather than locally. Play.google.com doesn't work for me either.

I am also having the same problem after updating to OrDroid 1.7.5 from 1.7.3 hope this is fixed soon so I can install my apps from my backup.
I'm also have issues with my Galaxy S2 and Xoom
Same problem here with my Defy. I'm on CM7.2 Nightly build.
Just started having this problem a few moments ago on my Xoom. Cannot install any apps from the play market from my PC and keep getting server error when trying to access my apps on my xoom. Not checked my Galaxy S II yet... maybe a problem with Google?
I've read just about everything I can find on this subject and have yet to find a solution. I am not sure if this is phone specific and since this is my first post, I figured I'd try the general QA forum. So here goes:
This all started when I was looking to unlock my SIM for an upcoming trip to Costa Rica. I have a stock ROM Firmware version 2.2.1. in a Samsung Infuse 4G. I had some other things in mind for later like flashing to a custom ROM, but I wanted to get some of the junk off the phone and get the SIM unlocked first. So feeling a little frisky with the uninstaller of TB, I started getting rid of some of what I thought may have been bloatware....family maps, google books, bar code reader, etc. I don't remember now if play store was one of those apps. I really don't believe I did uninstall it. If it was questionable in any way, I left it installed. But who would care right? I had the whole phone backed up.
Ok, so I see that I needed to be rooted for this. So I followed some QBking77 tutorials on YT. Got the superoneclick application and got it rooted with no problem. Then, I followed the suggestion to get Titanium Backup. I bought the paid version and did an entire backup. In the meantime, superuser updated itself and everything seemed fine. I shut the phone down and came back some hours later to attempt an unlock. After boot, I started TBackup and it was hanging on a message saying searching for license. I restarted the app and it kept hanging. It finally gave me a message to reinstall the Pro version key. Well, I uninstalled it...not knowing any better....and then could not download it from the store. The store still had these apps showing installed and purchased. This is when I began seeing the force close of Play Store app.
Ok...I'm trying to provide detail here and this is why it is so long winded. But I began looking for solutions to this issue all over the place. I saw the solutions to clear the cache and data and force close the app...reboot the phone. That didn't work. I found apk google store files and began trying to install those to the SD card. That wouldn't work. So now I got the big idea to reset to factory. I did that twice and that didn't work. Tried repeating all the suggested solutions after factory reset. That didn't work. I ended up losing my backup from before. So what's left?
I figured I would try to flash the ROM now and get a fresh start with a new OS. Well, it turns out that many of the apps I need like root explorer, need the paid version to modify the recovery files. So I found an app called file expert that is free, but I need to have a paid version to modify root files. I also saw a solution to google play which involved putting the apk file in system/apps. But it won't let me do that either without a paid version.
So I'm stuck and very frustrated. I'm caught in this never ending loop where the files I need require google play to purchase and I can't do anything to get it working.
I don't know if I'm posting in the right forum. I'm all tense about asking questions. But I'm really at the end of my rope here. I probably screwed something up without knowing it. But I see that there are alot of complaints with this force close. But many of those complaints seem to be getting resolved. The last thing I tried was to download vending 3.5.16.apk I've been putting these files on my internal SD card and trying to install from there. This is very frustrating. And it even gets more frustrating when you see the solutions can be to download something from the market. If I could do that, I wouldn't be typing this.
I apologize if this is in the wrong forum. And if you want me to take it somewhere else, I will. But I'm at a point right now where I don't care who yells at me. I'm desperate.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: And just to clarify, everything else seems to be working. I tried all the google apps (maps, gmail, etc.) My phone works, wifi, camera, etc. I get notifications of updates....and when I accept (or when it's an auto update), google play store starts and force closes. But other than that, the phone seems to have all it's functionality intact. And now, if I go to the store via my pc, it shows all my prvious app history including installs and purchases, but says I have no device.

but i can't flash any rom because i don't have clockwork mod for my phone
check this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=26581744
Try fixing permissions (recovery mode)
i also faced this problem but i fixed it easily!!
go to setting
then select application
after that choose manage application
select the tab "all"
there select the play store
first clear the data as well as cache then give it a try
if still doesnt work
go to setting
then select application
after that choose manage application
select the tab "all"
there select the play store
select uninstall update
and finally ur android market would work!!!!
Get ES file explorer.apk It works like rom manager but completely free. Start there, one of the solutions will work. Also,if you still have titanium backup folder still in your SD card, put the FREE version of the app and see if it'll find your backup. Good luck.

Keeping within the guidlines of the forum....I want to say "Thanks" to everyone for the responses.
In a haste, I found the vid on youtube that showed the Odin method of reverting back to stock/unbrick. This is what worked for me. I did something stupid with Titanium Backup (I think) and that's what got me into trouble.
All is (still) well, I'm re-rooted with unlock code and got all the apps needed for a flash. I'm reading up on ROM flashing to hopefully get a handle on it. Thinking of trying Zues. Just a little unsure of this backup business....like where to put the backups....my pc?
But with all sincerity....again, thanks for the responses.
I do a double backup,nandroid and titanium. But,you're welcome.

I have got a solution!
OK, Perhaps you don't want to see a person who has had a solution, Huh. Doesn't matter....
Here's what happened to me: I has updating my Sony Ericsson Xperia Arc S to android 4.0.4 and after doing so found my Google Play Store force closing every time I tried to turn it on. Fortunately, (or perhaps not so fortunately) I had encountered the exact problem before and spent one painful month mulling other the dull fact that it didn't work. When I plucked up the courage to try and fix I found that uninstalling the updates which can be found in Settings > Applications or apps > Manage applications > (locating Google Play Store located under All) Google Play Store > Uninstall updates.
So when I tried to do the same this time, IT DIDN'T WORK. What I gradually found out what I had done was uninstalled Google Play Store because as I had recently updated my whole device, it had worked it's magic on the Play Store. After what seemed like hours getting worked up into a frenzy and searching the web, I found a download link that downloaded the play store back on to my device:
I'm not allowed to write links so on your mobile device search for 4shared and then write Google Play Store.apk into the toolbar making sure the subsection selection is under files (you'll understand once your on the site). You want to pick the one which has the developers name: xurupita_zorro
(Its more convenient to download Google Play Store from your phones inbuilt browser as you wont have to muck around with files... Also, the link requires you to sign up, but I would suggest that you do because it lets you download games and apps for free... but that's irrelevant.
Anyhow, you could always try and download it elsewhere.
Then I opened it up and realised that it too was force closing, and of course you cant install updates on a Google Play Store which never updated. TROLOLOLOLO, not funny.
I Shut Down my phone for a very restless night and when I woke up this morning, I found that it was working fine and I could search the store beautifully!
So, My top tips:
Chillout as things fix themselves normally
Chillout as things fix themselves
Shutdown for the night
try uninstalling updates but be careful if you recently updated device
also the play store can be viewed online
Hope for the best,
Will :highfive:
Don't know what is going on but I can't download app files. Recently updated system on Moto E4 v 7.1.1 and dl's were working.
Tried to download F-Droid and it would not respond. Searched every possibility with no luck. Enabled the proper tab in settings etc. Went to XDA site to try and download an adblocker and it shut down the XDA app after the tab was ena led for settings. This happens on anything I try to do on this app. Immediate closeing of XDA. With any other apk file the thing just does not download. Nothing in the app tray. Just blank. I've tried everything but I'm not an advanced user. This happened once before and I had to reset to factory settings. Would not want to do this again but as they say... whatever

hello. hopefully posted in the right spot, but unsure if anyone has seen this issue... there was an update recently for the play store, so i did an upgrade, and now getting the nagging sign in error for gmail associated with this phone.
entering my pw does nothing. it just comes back almost instantly to reenter pw again.
i did a kill this to see what or where the message was coming from... what it killed was the google services framework, so its not a fake... but... wanted to see if anyone's seen this, and if there's a fix...
i'm on a droid 3 rooted, debloated, and that's all thats been done..
playstore is at 3.5.19 and gsframework is at 2.3.7
thanks.

your phone is rooted and cleaned (no bloatware) but how did you do that by flashing a custom rom or made by yourself
if made by yourself I suggest to delete playstore directly (use Root Explorer etc) and install from sdcard a new playstore you can find it by Google do not forget to activate "unknown sources" in menu/applications before to install new playstore form sdcard
another solution is to get stock rom and flash it then update playstore in this case all things should go if not there is a compatibility problem -last version of playstore is not compatible with your phone/OS

**UPDATE**
This morning while browsing androidpolice, saw an app i wanted to try out (Google+ Analytics) ... so I tried to do it via the playstore on PC.. guess what? My Droid 3 was delisted from the account. How and why? I scanned the QR code that went directly to the Analytics app on PLaystore on my Droid 3, and installed successfully - it even lists Analytics on the PC view of the play store's "My Orders".
I was comparing the differences between my phone and my wife's Rezound, and I did notice one thing so far.. we both had the Droid Eris, and she had the Rezound now. Her Rezound listed verizon as the carrier, but on my account my Eris was oddly listed as verizon... and my Droid 3 not on the list at all!
Anyways, there's a link there for people who "Don't see your device?" question.. link is: http://support.google.com/googleplay/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=1146414 ...
it states they are merging the personal google account with the google app account which may cause issues...
Now, is anyone having this issue at all? Google notes that this falls under a few percentages of users only ;\
mmm i probably won't go that route yet.

after googling a few, and finding more info, it ended up being a sync issue between the google servers - since the phone was registered to an gmail account that was made prior to whatever is being merged at this time, it messed up the sync. the error is gone now, and my phone is now re-listed in the devices list in the play store settings tab.
yay.

I'm being absolutely plagued by error code 923 on my Nexus S vanilla ICS 4.0.4 rooted.
It seems to have started after the last update from 4.0.3. I've been all over the google and every forum I can find looking for solutions.
So far I've:
Deleted Google Play and reinstalled (rebooted)
Deleted all my accounts and put them back (also rebooted)
Followed this (although I don't see "Market Updater" on my phone):
getsatisfaction.com/omgpop/topics/error_923
Next step is a wipe and new ROM. Don't really feel like going to that kind of effort though, everything else works perfect.

I realized I was a little vague. It happens when I update apps in Google Play. Doesn't matter if I'm using 3G or Wifi and turning the screen off makes it happen a lot quicker. If I sit on the update screen and watch it, then it will usually work, but only one app at a time.

Nobody else has this issue? I'm pretty desperate
I went ahead and did a factory reset. For anyone else who stumbles along here from Google or elsewhere: YOU'RE DOOMED! There is no hope for the accursed 923 error. DOOOOOOOOOOOOOM.
After flashing to cm10 on my ns4g i was unable to download from the market(getting error 927). I bypassed the market app, used the browser to download titanium backup from the web site, restored my backup and all is good downloading off the play store app.
To sum it up, if you're still having issues there is still the play store web site. Hope that helps.
Edit: i also tried all the fixes here on xda for that problem. None of them worked until i used the web site.

Google Play Services is continually stopping on ALL of my Android devices. I have searched and done extensive troubleshooting, but have no idea what to try next.
I believe that this issue is somehow related to my Google account. I believe this because:
It happens on all of my devices (unrooted Verizon Galaxy S4, latest 4.4.2 update; 2012 Nexus 7 rooted running latest CM nightly; Android VM in VirtualBox running 4.3)
If I log in to any of my devices with another Google account, the issue does not occur.
I have tried other ROMs, wiping, clearing cache and data, changing my Google account password - honestly, I do not know what is causing this. And to witness it on a VM in VirtualBox with nothing but the OS and GApps was the final straw, causing this post.
The issue is not with the Play Store - it is with Google Play Services. So, anything utilizing Google Play Services (basically, anything Google, and then-some) causes this issue. Hangouts, Maps, Play Store, Music, my RSS reader (D7), etc.
And again, my phone is unrooted, and I've factory reset my phone - it happens as soon as I log in with my Google account, without any apps installed, other than those from the factory ROM. Same can be said for my tablet, and my VM - and my Android VM is as clean as they come.
I am a technical guy, I've been in the IT field professionally for over 15 years, and have been tinkering since I got an Amiga 500 in 1988. I've got some background, and it takes a lot for me to reach out for help because I'm a "fix it myself" type... but I am honestly at my wit's end here.
The only other solution I can see would be to create a new Google account, but that's not really an option, considering I would lose my paid apps, and anything else associated to that account.
Any other ideas or advice is appreciated
PS: I already posted this to the "Assist" forum, but had been asked to repost it here.

i can make a suggestion but after that, i unfortunately wont be able to help you with the results.
you could run a "logcat" when this happens and save it, also grab the last kmessage. please use google on how to do this, im no expert.
but, with those 2 files in hand, try and find someone knowledgeable in interpreting the code, a developer if possible, and they should be able to tell you what is causing the error and if it can be fixed.
alternatively, you could email google, explain your situation, and ask them if you could make a new email and they could transfer your apps because the problem appears to be a glitch in their system. i dont know if they can or will do it, but its worth a try.
hope that gets you headed towards a solution.
logcat is a great idea - thanks! I was considering using something like wireshark to grab the packets being exchanged when the issue occurrs, but then realized that the data is likely encrypted anyway ... but your suggestion is much simpler. When I have a little more time to devote to it (perhaps Saturday morning) I will give that a try on my Nexus 7 or VM.
Regarding e-mailing google - is there a support address I can use to contact google? Everything I "google"'d about it seemed to indicate that was a non-option. I'm open to that, if it's possible.

im really not sure thare is a support email for google. as big as they are i just assumed there would be some sort of support.
if not an email, maybe a page where you insert issues and they reply to you. i would look though one of your account settings thoroughly to see if anything is there.
Well, good news. After putting up with this for 2 months, and submitting probably hundreds of error reports to Google, it looks like my issue has been resolved!
The answer to my problems is Google Play Services 5.0.77. I saw the leak last night and installed it, and no more crashing!
If anyone else ever finds themselves in this situation, may this be the answer to their problems as well. I know that the past two months have been frustrating for me because of this...
Thanks to all who have tried to assist!
