Hello,
I don't know why but my Galaxy S6's back camera just keeps on force closing.
No matter what I try:
- Rebooting
- Flashing a new Rom through TWRP
- Odin to stock
- Wipe everything on recovery
- Clear camera cache, data and force stop it
-Booting into Safe Mode
I'm out of ideas, anyone know how this can be fixed?
I would also like to add that, about 2 months ago the same thing happened to my phone and after trying all of the above that time also, nothing was working. I took it to tmobile and a representetive asked me "have you tried rebooting?" And as he asked he was rebooting my phone in front of me. I said "Yes" and when the phone booted back up, he opened the Camera app and it was working -__-
I have been rebooting for the past 2 days hoping for that to happen again, to no avail.
Hi All,
I have rooted my Moto g turbo xt1557 (Just to enable screen casting). After rooting my flash light and camera was not working. I tried to flash with Stock ROM... Camera was working for some time. After couple of hours, rear camera is showing, Please restart your camera error... Flash light is working for 10 sec max... Then automatically it's getting off...
I tried all the basic steps like wipe/clear data/factory reset/camera enable and disable.... No luck.... Even I tried to unroot my phone.. nothing gave a fix..
But my front camera is working like master.... I m sure it's nnot a hardware problem....
Can someone help me to fix this issue.....
Update: Today i have updated the mobile. After that i booted into recovery and wiped the Cache Partition. After that camera was working for some times. Later it came to same state. Camera Error: Please restart the camera...
Can some one help me quickly????
Hi
I have a oneplus one and recently factory reset is but now the camera comes up with "unfortunately, the camera has stopped working". The phone is running android 6.0.1 and cyanogen 13.1.2—ZNH2KAS3P0-bacon. This was working fine until the reset. I have cleared the app data and cache, the gallery data and rebooted to safe mode at which point it still wasn't working. I'm not the most techie type so could anyone help please? I've checked other answers but I don't really understand quite what I have to do.
Thanks
OK so here's the issue i have a stock HTC u11 phone which completely stopped working last week. It gave me a com.android.phone is not responding error message. For me this was a simple fix. Clear the Cache start fresh problem solved. So far no luck. Go Deeper clear the Cache Partition restart problem solved. No luck. Go Deeper Factory Reset the phone as i've got 0 connectivity though wi-fi or mobile. And Still have the same issue. Trying to access the Sim toolkit on the completely wiped phone still give me the same error message of com.android.phone is not responding and it still doesn't recognize the SIM card or allow wi-fi to turn on. Any suggestions?
HTC U11 unlocked - Solar Red
Android 9
Firmware 3.37.617.1

I have a sm-g930a s7 at&T. about 2 weeks ago my camera and flashlight quit working. I have tried the following:
disable smart stay
, reboot phone.
went to camera app, force stopped, cleared cache, cleared data, restarted phone
, restarted in safe mode, camera still not working in safe mode.
cleared system cache, wiped data, did factory setup. camera not working
Changed the software on phone using odin. flashed G930AUCUBCTB1. Odin worked, Camera not working still. I was considering trying a ball peen hammer, but not there quite yet.
My backup phone is a s7 edge with a beautiful pink line.
Any idea where to go from here?
I have the same problem, open camera and I get a black screen followed by a "camera failed" message. Tried different apps. Actually replaced the rear camera. Reset phone back to factory stock. Did all of the "other" stuff. Nothing works. The problem started shortly after the last (February) and final OTA update that ATT did. Anyone have anything I can flash to my phone with ODIN? It is a SM-G930A Baseband G930AUCUBCTB1.

Try installing a different camera app and see if that works. If it doesn't, it could very well be the camera itself.

I have tried 2 or 3 different camera apps. No help. I forgot to say that the camera will actually come on very very occasionally.
