Hello guys. I have a problem. I have installed TheFrankenstain's MIUI 4.0.4 and one day my display just started lighting darker. The level of brightness on maximum since that day is like level of brightness on minimum before that day. I tried to reinstall ROM and put another ROM many times. Can anybody help me please? I hope you understood (I'm not very good in english).

...... I think I read this topic on Galaxy S2G. Turn on the auto brightness and put your phone under the sun for 5 minutes (do not push the volume button, menu, home, back and power button). After 5 minutes, take the phone and test it. Hope this work, Good Luck.
P.S: If you don't understand, use the Google Translate.

Okay so I got my Nexus S in December of 2011. It's worked just perfect, it's a real peach but yesterday I was trying to use it normally and it froze. Then it shut off. So I left it a few minutes and turned it on again. It starts up with the black screen with white letters that say "Google" and it never loads more so I wait with it for s few, then pull the battery and try again many, many times. Same result.
I really hope someone knows how to fix this without wiping the phone. Please Help!

I don't think using the word RAPE earns you much respect.
Oh and it's a tablet not a phone.
I use screen off fx for powering down, gives a virtual powerbutton on your screen with some nice off-effects, and its free! That halves use of powerbutton.

essentialy it's the same as using button too often that will make the slot(pen?) broke like my NDS stylus, i rarely use pen too

I've had my SGS3 for a few weeks now and love it. But, this issue has happened 3 times now. When I wake up in the morning, the blue LED notification light is flashing, and when tapping the power button or even the home button the screen doesn't turn on. I have had to pull the battery and reset the phone. I'm not sure what causes, but was wondering if anyone else has had this issue or is this something like the "sudden death" people have mentioned? I didn't have it plugged in last night and it happened again (3rd time). The previous time I did have it plugged in.
Just wondering what you guys think,
Thanks.

Check facebook notifications. Blue is default for facebook.

I had that last week, I think it's the new push notifications update from Samsung that probably linked to Facebook. I just disabled the push app and it stopped happening.

Blue is default for text and emails and missed calls..etc.. and when i reboot the phone there's no notification for facebook though... I'll turn it off though and see.
Did u flash a different kernel? That happens to me on AOSP a lit if I lower my voltage too much.

This app uses your phone's motion, gravity, and proximity sensors to automatically turn on and off your screen so that you don't have to press any keys (software or hardware).
For instance, when I put my S4 inside my pocket or holster it to my belt clip, the screen turns off automatically. When I take the phone out, the screen turns on automatically as well.
I've tried a few apps similar to this before but this one just works very well and consistently.
I already installed it on my mom's and wifey's S2s and they love it too~! Just wanted to share the goodness~
Wow it is pretty impressive! Thanks for sharing. .

No problem. I figured there must be others who will find this kind of app convenient to have around. I just love not having to press the home or power button every time I want to turn the screen on.

The author of the app said to expect a hit about 5%. I've been using it for 2 days now and I haven't noticed any difference so far. But then, I'm running on the ktoonsez kernel with -50mV, all-around.
Freekin love this app
Thanks for the heads up op! works like a charm, now I've got to get used to not pressing my power key on wake

The only time the screen turns off on me when I don't want it to is when I text and I accidentally rest one of my fingers over the proximity sensor by mistake. Otherwise, it's been good. I wish there was a time-delay option for proximity sensor to turn off the screen so an accidental finger covering up the proximity sensor doesn't turn off the screen right away.

I see. It's an extra step but you could pull down the notification menu and pause the app before gaming then turn it back on afterwards. My mom tells me that sometimes when she's watching Netflix, the screen turns off on her. I told her not to cover up the sensor but she just disabled the app.

According to GSam battery monitor, Gravity Screen Off is responsible for only 0.2% battery drain. I haven't noticed any extra drain because of this app.
