[ Micromax A110 ] tablet mode for your mmx a110 - Micromax A110

Hey guys here's the modded services.jar file that I made for our mmx a110. Replacing the services.jar file in your phablets with this one will enable tablet mode on the mmx a110. The tablet mode is enabled when u change the dpi to 128. So in case you want to revert back to stock(mobile) UI the you just need to change the dpi back to 240. You can also include this mod I your rooms if you like, by don't frgt to mention the creator. If you like my work, then please click the thanks button.
Here's the file :

Edit: As you may have noticed after applying this mod. Apps have very small text. And also some apps that we'd prefer to have in phone UI are also using tab UI. There's a app to solve this. But it seems to keep force closing. It would be really great if some developers could help in getting this app to work.

Thanks (already hit the Thanks button ) for this mode, I must say good work.
Though I have not tried it yet but I still got couple of questions.
1) I guess Android does not support DPI less then 138 hence have set bare-minimum DPI as 160 for any of the devices. You are asking for 128 which may lead to crashing the apps and probably, the system itself.
2) I have been using custom DPI for a long time, this time I am using 190 since it's somewhat a middle between 160~240, will the Tablet mode work if I keep using it with 190 DPI?
3) You have mentioned, if anybody want's to go back to STOCK mode, they just have to go back to 240. Can 190 work, what is the maximum DPI which can make the TABLET mode work? Going 128 will do no good but harm in terms of very tiny TEXT and FCs.

Don't worry 128 won't cause any system fail.
I agree text will be small but u can increase text size in display and accessibility settings.
If 190 has worked before, it will even work after flashing this file.although I can confirm that 160 "may" crash systemui.
Still maximum dpi to enable tablet mode is 128.

Can you upload a flash able zip because when I try to replace services.jar with adb or root explorer ..my phone stops responding..& when I change the density..the systemui starts force closing..I think it can be fixed by disabling compability mode through spare part's..which can be downloaded from play store..can u make a flashale..with modded build.prop & services.jar with fixed permissions..

Download build.prop editor if you want to do more things with your device...or download density changer if you only want to change density...
Lots of apps are available on play store to do this...
Lower value =high resolution effect
Higher value =low resolution effect
One advice...
Keep in mind...
Some manufacturers modified their own ui over stock...which might causes some issues...
So... better to install another launcher... before applying... (third party launchers are able to catch any resolution...)

Flashable Zip
I made an Aroma Flashable Zip But you still need to manually replace the jar file
Suggestions.
Tried it. Must say you worked hard for it : good:
A few suggestions if I may : fingers-crossed:
1) Reduce the sensitivity of swipe. i mean for now in order to remove notification you have to slide to almost 75% of the screen can you reduce it to 50% thats mean we have to slide only halfway in order to remove notification.coz in ics n jb its in that way
2) The power buttons/switch( WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS,data etc) are bit small for thumb can u increase its size by 50% ?? (100->150 like thats.)
Besides look awesome got ICS looks Keep it Up buddy.

have you ported from a5?? coz i guess as its resolution is less the resolution of those images is also less. umm try images from systemui that i gaved you because even our device is HDPI so the images will be of higher resolution.:good:
else u can try from stock rom or else any cm rom whoes resolution is HDPI.
about that sliding stuff u can take reference from our XML i.e. A90S's one.

Yes....
Enable App settings module from the Xposed Installer app and restart your phone...
Open the "Xposed App Settings" app and select the app you want to modify....
You'll get options like changing dpi, font etc...
Change the values according to your need and enjoy...
And this can easily be undone...so no risk at all

No Root access after MIUI rom installation
First of all great job on all the ROM's developed so far. They have been brilliant.
After installing MIUI rom and fixing permissions, None of the applications are able to get root access. Root checker says, the device is not rooted. installed Super user, but it says the binaries need to be updated. Not sure what the issue is.. has anyone faced this??
I have installed as per instructions and I was previously on Raven. I have restored my Raven backup and there are no such issues in this rom.
Please help solve this issue. I would like to use MIUI

All you have to do is go to system and security folder there will be an app named '' permissions" click on it and select the root option and enable it after that reboot the device and then give permissions to the apps. That's it.

Thank you for that.. The root issue is solved, however I have issues with few apps, they always FC. For instance, True caller app. I have fixed permissions from recovery multiple times, but doesnt solve the issue. the stack trace shows something with Binary XML having issues during inflation of a class. Any suggestions?
Another issue is with Bluetooth. Paired devices are not remembered and need to be paired with the phone every single time.
Any suggestions or fix for these issues is appreciated. Thanks

You're welcome, you can press the thanks button too , and about your problem I can't tell you about true caller app as I haven't used it yet, for the Bluetooth problem I would suggest that you open the Bluetooth app then enable 'open detection' then change the visibility timeout to never then select search for devices then pair it with the device.
Hope that works for you, because I haven't faced any problem like that.

Small-screen mode for big-screen devices

Hello, I recently hear that there is a small screen mode released by Samsung for the note 3 so I am wondering that if there is a mod for doing that kind of tweak not only on note 3 but on other big screen devices as well notably the note 2. Thanks.

yes same thing need for mega 6.3 like note 3 tiny screen...
Its kind of resolution changer. Like we do on windows.. U need to root ur device first to make these changes..
After rooting install root browser from play store. Then open it go to system and open build.prop as text editor and search for this command
ro.sf.lcd_density= ( value maybe 240)
If u cant find this command then just add it by ur self and change then set the value to 210. And reboot ur phone.

Almost perfect way to Set dpi on Note 3.(Root)

So I was looking into a way to change the dpi of my n9000. I loved PacMan rom for mt Xperia Z. I used to use a tablet UI with 200 dpi and I liked it. When I tried build.prop editors. Nothint changed.
So I did the following. Its very simple. But it did the job.
Download Xposed Installer
Install the framework.
Go to modules.
Download App Settings.
Activate it from Xposed.
Then open App Settings. Grant Root permissions.
Search for Android Ui
Change the dpi to what ever suits you. Am using 340. Works like a charm for me.
I took the extra efforts of chaning the dpi for settings. Browser. Whatsapp. BBM. And a few more apps according to my use. It worked.
WARNING : Do Not change the Android System dpi. It makes the keyboard horribly large.
After you change the dpi to something smaller than stock. There will be a little space between the status bar and the app.
Touchwiz does not look well in the less dpi. I recommend some other launcher which supports custom rows and columns. I use Nova Prime.

I have a problem with setting the dpi of the samsung phone app with this app, everything else works fine. I set the dpi first by editing the build prop but the dialer did not like it so i tried to set it back to original dpi but it wont respond to any changes, only option is to revert the build prop.
Use solid explorer or root explorers and change the LCD density in build prop. I am using 350 at the moment and it's been good... I then use the xposed module app settings to change the Samsung apps like phone and calculator back to 480 so they don't look ridiculous all bunched up in the corner of the screen.. worked a treat on every rom I use.. do it on kitkat roms on my nexus 4 and s4 with no dramas as well until a PA type rom comes out

tablet mode has been removed from base android since 4.2 or 4.3 (i cant recall which one right now).
when you see it in a rom it is the re-addition in xml layout files to enable the 'tablet' mode again
^^^ read this in another thread
i wouldn't mind giving tablet mode a go again myself on such a large device when we see some AOSP love that will enable it again:good:
