I was wondering if there is a way to spoof the ps3 network to think that the ps3 is updated to 3.50 when it is actually 3.41. I have seen that this has been done with other devices and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction on how to do this if possible with the droid. Thank you!
Does anyone have the Motorola Atrix Lapdock? If so can you connect the Razr HD to it? I just picked one up online for 40 bucks and am curious.
Nope. Webtop was removed from the new Razr interactions. I was pretty bummed.

I wonder if there is an APK floating around out there....
There’s a system dump on almost every Razr forum. I've seen a couple guys mod their lap docks to work in mirror mode, but as far as the whole Webtop, maybe someone has a tut on it...

Already asked the question here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1972838
Apparently it does work - but with HDMI mirror mode, so you will get big chunky icons and fonts on the screen (regardless of being in 720p). Difference to Webtop 3.0 is that Webtop automatically changes the DPI turning it into "tablet mode" as opposed to "Phone mode". Webtop 2.0 uses Linux and not confident that this will be compatible.

Perhaps botbrew basil + debian + vnc + mirroring?
There are plenty of CHROOT solutions out there (Debian, Ubuntu, Backtrack) - just not sure how well they are. I've decided to choose the RAZR classic instead of the HD to replace my Atrix until someone figures out how to change the DPI settings on the fly between modes and getting higher resolutions (full screen) on the Lapdock.

To answer the OP's actual question, Yes you can connect it. It takes a bit of tinkering though. You have to dissasemble the dock part and revers the direction of the usb and hdmi ports. The lapdock will only function as a mirrored display + keyboard/mouse. It works none the less. I am sure the webtop app is redundant at this point in time due to the convergence of androids desktop like features.
The display itself is a bit washed out but a great buy if you want a bit more screen real estate while traveling for netflix, hulu movies etc.
Also, If you are saavy and they are in stock, you can go to radio shack and pick these up for $9.97. I work at RS and have bought most of the remaining ones from our district so good luck elsewhere!
I have acquired a Driod Bionic Lapdock which mates perfectly with and charges my Photon Q. Has anyone been able to install a version of Webtop that allows them to fully utilize a Photon Q with a Lapdock? I've seen there are versions of Webtop for the Atrix available on XDA - any thoughts on whether or not that would work with my Photon Q? Thanks in advance for any input/advice!
I have the exact same situation. Can't find much of anything out there. It's sad that this phone didn't receive much interest from anyone either. Almost no dev happened/happening at all it seems. The device actually has decent guts and I'd LOVE to figure out how to put webtop on it. Or even something that will just allow the keyboard to interface with the device in mirror mode. I might actually prefer that MORE than clunky webtop but i'm sure there is more of a chance of getting webtop to work on it than that happening
Could you please help me with choice: what is better - photon q+android tablet or photon q+bionic lapdock=mirror mode?
hard to decide, because in Russia we have no lapdock, so I will order one. Is it usable in mirror mode?i heard that with some firmware and mousepad and keyboard will work without issues.
Well guys im about at my witts end with this. My troubleshooting steps have led nowhere and dont know what to do next.
I am trying to hook up my Razr Maxx HD to my Lapdock 500. From what ive read this should work no problem just without the webtop software interface. This is fine as i have already found a tablet ui module for xposed. anyways when i hook up my phone the mouse and keyboard work perfectly but all that comes up on the display is gray lines. i have tried 2 separate lapdock 500's with the same result. I have also hooked up an original razr with the same gray lines.
now heres the twist...my brothers bionic works perfectly fine with webtop 3.0. I have double checked the hdmi port in my razr with a full sized hdmi adapter to my tv and it worked perfectly. i have also tried forcing 720p through a module thinking that it was possibly an out of range issue but it produced the same gray lines.
a little about my phone...my phone is rooted through the motochopper root and was rooted for the first time on 4.1.2. it was not rooted before it was updated.
System Version: 9.18.79.XT926.Verizon.en.US
Android Version: 4.1.2
Kernel Version: 3.0.31-g101ca72
Build Number: 9.8.1Q-79
Im not sure what of this information is relevant but i am desperate to get this to work or at least find out what the problem is so i can plan what to do next. My plan was to take this thing on my cruise with me on monday as i dont want to take my laptop with me...plus lets face it lapdocks are cool. so does anybody have any clue as to what could be happening here?
Hi all, I recently found my old Motorola Xoom and I figured it would be perfect for using the PS4 Remote Play Port. I also want to use the Dualshock 4 controller with it via OTG, so I need to root it. I looked around the Xoom part of the forums, but I really have no idea where to start. I can't look at any info on the tablet right now because I'm waiting for a charger for it to be delivered - all I know is that it's an original Xoom tablet that I sent in for the 4G upgrade. If anyone could point me in the right direction with some instruction it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Did you ever figure this out? Dug out my old xoom looking to do the same thing but haven't got it working yet
