[Q] psfreeedom jailbreak question for motorola droid - General Questions and Answers

I was wondering if there is a way to spoof the ps3 network to think that the ps3 is updated to 3.50 when it is actually 3.41. I have seen that this has been done with other devices and was wondering if someone could point me in the right direction on how to do this if possible with the droid. Thank you!

[Q] Question about the coby 7015 tablet

I bought one of these for my son for christmas. Dont laugh at it being coby. It is probably the best built product they have ever made. (i know not saying much but still its pretty damn solid). My question is i would like to install snesoid on it so he can play his games. But i would like to be able to use a controller to make it easier to play for him. Would the power A controller work. I know the coby will read a usb keyboard, but dont know if the powera controller acts as a usb keyboard. Any thoughts. I would post a link to the controller but not allowed yet. If you go to power A . c o m its the one under ps3 that has the slide out keyboard. Thanks!!!
Partly answered my own question in the last couple of days. Installed snesoid and it runs very well. Hooked up a keyboard and was able to map the keys, so lack of multitouch is no longer a problem in the games. Can anyone confirm a usb controller working with this or is it only a keyboard. Buying one today but if someone knew that a paticuler brand worked well it would help me thanks!!

PSP as WIFI game controller for Android

PSP can be configure as a game controller for PC. I wonder if this can be done for Android.
This thread has been overlooked, this would be very nice for the psp homebrew scene and android app scene, for nonroot and root.
i doubt that it is possible a.t.m. due to ad hoc, although i may be wrong.
I began to be interested in this recently and I found this thread so im bumping it, also considering the time it might be worth mentioning that we are talking about old PSP, not vita. I know that developing for that PSP is pretty much non-existent but maybe it wont even be needed, there are lots of programs for PSP that turn it into wireless gamepad, someone skilled enough just needs to teach android how to work with it

psp as a controller for android devices
[QUOT=cyclonmaster;18765970]PSP can be configure as a game controller for PC. I wonder if this can be done for Android.[/QUOTE]
i have a psp that i haven touch for overa year and i woud love to use it as a controller for one of my android tablets.
That would be pretty neat if you could! It should be possible with proper bluetooth configuration.. sense ive seen bluetooth controllers work on the android aswell as the android be used as a wireless keyboard for a pc.
Dont think you can.
Could be possible, someone a while ago already did something like this, but for the PC and PS3. It allowed the PSP to act as a SixAxis controller on the PS3, and a gamepad on PC.
Bump. I would really love to see something like this for Android, using OTG or Ad-hoc/Local Network.
would be phenomenal if someone could do that. I think there are quite a lot of us who have old PSP's just lying around somewhere collecting dust. Can't even remember when I last touched my PSP 2001. But if someone will be able to make these as controllers for android, even if just via OTG, then I'm pretty sure he/she will make a lot of games (and neglected PSP's) happy, myself included.
IMO, it's more feasible that it can be done via OTG. Just thinking of all the obstacles one has to face in making this idea work via wifi or ad-hoc makes my migraine act up.
Bump it up, we need this please!! Someone point us in the right direction if you know something, or if you are developing something. I have no idea how this could help with development, but there is already a working (yes, working) Psp emulator for Android and PC, so that could possibly help........hopefully.....maybe...... I'M SO DESPERATE!!!
This would be tops.
I wonder how hard it would be, since the psp can be used as a gamepad on a pc.
Presume it'd just need similar host software running on the phone, and then have the psp connect to the phone, just like it connects to the pc.
Bump, again

It works in usb mode with Fusa Gamepad and USB joystick center. The once thing you need to make it works is the "joydev.ko" module.

[Q] Photon Q with Webtop for Lapdock

I have acquired a Driod Bionic Lapdock which mates perfectly with and charges my Photon Q. Has anyone been able to install a version of Webtop that allows them to fully utilize a Photon Q with a Lapdock? I've seen there are versions of Webtop for the Atrix available on XDA - any thoughts on whether or not that would work with my Photon Q? Thanks in advance for any input/advice!
I have the exact same situation. Can't find much of anything out there. It's sad that this phone didn't receive much interest from anyone either. Almost no dev happened/happening at all it seems. The device actually has decent guts and I'd LOVE to figure out how to put webtop on it. Or even something that will just allow the keyboard to interface with the device in mirror mode. I might actually prefer that MORE than clunky webtop but i'm sure there is more of a chance of getting webtop to work on it than that happening
Could you please help me with choice: what is better - photon q+android tablet or photon q+bionic lapdock=mirror mode?
hard to decide, because in Russia we have no lapdock, so I will order one. Is it usable in mirror mode?i heard that with some firmware and mousepad and keyboard will work without issues.

[Q] PS3 Controller Support?

I can not get the Moto G to recognize a PS3 Sixaxis controller while its plugged in via usb>OTG.
The same controller allows me to navigate through the launcher on a Nexus 7 connected the same way with nothing else installed and no root. I have also been able to navigate like this on the Moto G with a wired Xbox controller via USB.
I planned on mounting the Moto G on top of a PS3 controller, wired or wireless, has anyone got this working wired, or wireless wile rooted? I haven't rooted yet but will if this works.
I'm sure someone else out there owns a Moto G, PS3 controller, and an OTG cable, if anyone would be willing to give it a quick test I would be very grateful. :/
Ok after some testing I have discovered a few things.
1. The controller show up in the USB host controller app as a PS3 controller.
2. The first LED lights up like it is supposed to when trying to set it up with this app: Sixaxis Enabler
So it appears that apps can see and communicate with the controller to an extent, however I have not been able to use it successfully in anything like dead-trigger or emulators. Is it possible that the communication works but the implementation for it's input just isn't there in the ROM? Does Sixaxis controller have it's own implementation that will fix this if I pair it to Bluetooth?
Edit: 148 views and no reply's... come on guys.
Working Rooted

Thanks for the info in your post! I've been trying to get it to work too. I have a question about rooting. I've rooted every android phone I've had up to this point and used Cyanogenmod. However, I really love how the Moto G has great support with rom updates and such. So can I root my Moto G without compromising the rom or any of this support?
No one has a Wii controller to test?
Anyone got PS3 working on Moto G via Bluetooth? I haven't tested yet 'cause I will only buy my Moto G tomorrow.

It´s just a few post back that you can pair it with Moto G, you have to root your device though.
I tried to paur it with my wiimote but as I sooon found out the wiimote is no longer supported since jellybean 4.2. Android developers modified the bluetooth stack and it dosn´t work anymore. AFAIK it doesn´t work on Kitkat either.
I would love to root my moto g right away. There are some minor software annoyances that could be easily fixed, but I´m afraid that I´d lose warranty

[Q] Want to use old Motorola Xoom tablet for PS4 Remote Play. Where to start?

Hi all, I recently found my old Motorola Xoom and I figured it would be perfect for using the PS4 Remote Play Port. I also want to use the Dualshock 4 controller with it via OTG, so I need to root it. I looked around the Xoom part of the forums, but I really have no idea where to start. I can't look at any info on the tablet right now because I'm waiting for a charger for it to be delivered - all I know is that it's an original Xoom tablet that I sent in for the 4G upgrade. If anyone could point me in the right direction with some instruction it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
Did you ever figure this out? Dug out my old xoom looking to do the same thing but haven't got it working yet
