major issues on flashing - HTC Pico (Explorer)

this thread is get posted because the official thread by ayushrox on aokp wasn't giving me any answers to my questions and I was annoyed
so here i go guys read carefully my long night story
i downloaded ROM went to recovery >wipe>flash>boot
it started up after 2-3 mins and also i got [gallery stopped androidacoree stopped ..... al all stopping i rebooted did worked
i wiped again >wiped dalvik>installed rom>reboot same crashes happened i got annoyed and then
i opened recovery went to back up and restore selected my bakc up restore it i completed back up then stuck on htc after boot
i restarted and it stuck on cm9 boot anim so i wiped again flashed cm9 build 11 fresh it started and then it started normally i thenwanted to be back on same track flashed m2sd from recovery IT NEVER BOOTED
CURRENTLY > wiped >cm9 >gapps>simple empty phone without any app any suggestions on this please
i got gapps from Google link which gave cm 1 job gapps were they fine?

That's how everybody should explain what went wrong, nice job about that!
Gapps are working fine from where you got them, I don't get you how exaclty do you wipe things, try with mounting everything.

Try flashing superwipe by akya from the nextgen thread and then flashing!
Hope it helps...

ok
1)why did it give crashes
2)why did back up gave me bootloop
3)i do factory /wipe then dalvik i have to wipe cache partition too?
4)do i have a currupt recovery or nand or **** my phone is just a month old
6)what and why to mount and when to mount plz

1. Crashes occur due to numerous reasons. If you ask for relevant ones, then most propably, either the compiled code is buggy or the dalvik-vm (heap memory in runtime) is getting full.
2. What did backup did you restore ? Stock rom backup or custom rom backup ?
3. Yes, wiping cache is important. It is mentioned in every rom flashing thread.
4. No one can say, when your hardware is gonna foul play on you. My first htc explorer's motherboard & battery were buggy. Extreme heat used to get build up. Anyway, i got free replacement.
5. During recovery, while simple flashing of rom & gaaps, you never manually mount anything. Unless, something is stated in the tutorial of whatever you are about to do.

it was cm9 back up but. I got the prob the cwm recovery didn't back up next which created probs cause I had apps in next and it wasn't wiped before back up I have flashed yannau recovery now and after super wipe installed everythi ng and am back on the track its just am little bit scared about currupting my Pico and don't want to flash anything else now

If you did everything correct, then no need to worry. Just follow the rules strictly..
1. Keep a backup
2. Wipe before flashing
3. Be sure of what you're doing
You can call them the Golden Rule.

First....update Clockwork
then...wipe data/factory reset (in Recovery)
then...wipe cache partition
then...flash it once more and if it does not work try re downloading the ROM because there is a possibility some important files are corrupted...

All of which was available by doing a search ^
You can also add try a different rom to the above list.
I have done all on that atleast twice. I had just redownloaded the rom last night

this is a ext3/4 rom Is your sd card formated properly? If its version 6.6 ( the latest) try using version 6.5 first as this will format the sd card for you.. back up your sd card first just to be sure you don't lose your information. in CWM mount the sd card and copy to computer.. Hope this helps.
Already stated previously but worth another try. Install another ROM, maybe one that is almost stock. Then try Coredroid again.
I also suggest you ask in the Coredroid forum. Good luck.
Ok thanks ill see what i can find out over there

are you flashing through rom manager or cwm ?
I have the same issue, i used rom manager, did the wipe.. and its just stuck on the animation loop.
If anyone could help, it would be appriciated.
Thanks
Found it.
Thanks
Got it going, I did a recovery, then updated with coredroid v7.0.. Works very well.. no problems here.
By the way, I'm digging the new layout.

[Q] Flashed CM7 froze during reboot logo

Noob with a drive to learn and in need of some help.
I attempted to install stable release of CM7 thru CWM on my rooted G2x, still stock everything, OS 2.3.4. Pre-install I backed-up current ROM, wipe data & cache and wipe dalvik cache. Rebooted into recovery and it looked as tho all was well... However, my phone wont go any further than the second "LG" boot logo, (I'm thinking is packaged in CM7). Nothing I've tried yet has fixed my situation. Not even allowing me to enter manual recovery so I can restore my back-up.
I'm hoping someone could please tell me what I did wrong? And also, what I can do to fix it?
Did you flash CWM using ROM Manager or NVflash?
If the answer isn't NVflash, you need to search the forum for that and use it. Then try to install a ROM

Since it's getting harder to find here is the link to the CWM thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24087341
Follow the instructions there and you'll be good to go. It says XP but I have never had a problem on Windows 7.

[Q] how to update cm10 rom?? (im a noob)

i want to update cm10 for the infuse 4g but i dont know how can someone please help and if i do update it does it delete all my apps and stuff please help?
Yes it will delete everything as you will need to do a full wipe. There are many apps that will back everything up but I use titanium back up. Once you back everything boot to recovery and do a full wipe/format and flash your ROM of choice and gapps... any questions... let me know.... I'm still a noob but I'm sure I can help you flash a ROM...
Sent From My Swagged Out AOKP Build 5 Galaxy S3!
If I am reading your question right, you are asking how to update cm10 to cm10. Aka newer version?
If it is the same ROM download it and the corresponding gapps (if newer)
Turn off your phone and take out your SD card.
Then boot into recovery. (Either three finger it, or start the phone back up and reboot into recovery)
At the main menu wipe cache.
Go into advanced menu and wipe dalvik cache.
Go back and go into mounts and storage.
Format /system
Then go back and flash from sdcard
Choose the newer ROM image and flash.
Then flash the new gapps.
Then restart phone. If it goes back to recovery just hit reboot phone again.
This method will not delete your personal apps just system apps. It may reset a few settings, such as log in credentials. But no big deal. (This would depend on the app not what you did)
These methods will never delete your personal photos or music. Only way to ever mess this up is a brick. Which only happens when you do risky flashes, or flash over USB with faulty wires.
If you are asking to go cm10 from cm9 it is described in the ROMs.
If you are going from say cm10 to liquid smooth rom, you can try the above method, but some settings may transfer funny and screw stuff up, so it is better to do the above steps but first do a Wipe data/factory reset.
This factory reset unfortunately wipes all your personal apps. To avoid this as best as possible I suggest titanium back up and use it to back up all your apps. The difference between pay and free titanium back up that you will notice, is that the paid one auto installs all apps, free one you have to install them by pressing install, done, install, done. This is annoying with 25+ apps. I paid for this reason alone.
Hope I helped at all.

If you notice glitchy things I would recommend wipe and reinstall but if all is well I wouldn't worry about it.

[HELP] bugs found on ViperOneS v2.0

I've just flashed the ViperOneS v2.0 from v1.2.1 yesterday, I've followed all the instruction from the thread. After flashing the Rom, it keeps showing "Unfortunately, the process android.process.acore has stopped." I tried to send a bug report through the Venom Hub app, but it keeps telling the there is a error and it is unable to send the report. Can anyone tell me how to fix it?

re-download rom and check md5
did you flash boot image per instructions, if under .13 hboot you may be able to flash just the rom and no need to fastboot boot image
but, you need to wipe all including system in recovery 2X and not in aroma. i have my best luck that way
also try a full rom install as opposed to custom, if you did a custom

my hboot is 1.13 and I did factory twice before flashing the rom, I'll try it again anyway. thanks for your help
I also experienced force close on certain app, is there any solution for it?
I've tried to wipe all the stuff and reinstall the rom, but the problem still exists. Is there any other solution for it? I can't even manage my contacts , whenever I want to link ny contacts, it force closes by itself.

also on fc's clear apps data for tweaks and hub
redo it all again, but this time wipe sdcard first. of course back card up before wiping, just don't restore. i think new rom flash will repopulate what must be there like android secure and a couple others. someone can confirm that.
if it don't work you may want to go back to stock and start over
Is it necessary to wipe the sd card also? btw, I've lost the 3G connection after flashing the rom, I can only connect to the GSM network and when I switch to WCDMA only in my network setting, my phone shows no service is available. Is it the problem of the radio?
Sent from my HTC One S using xda premium
i can use any radio and have no issues
start over with a fresh flash of 2.1 the upgarde manually
don't have to wipe sdcard
but if you start over with full wipe 3x including system. and reformat your sdcard before doing all that. it only leaves your phone. not all phones work well on all roms.
best to fastboot boot image
don't wipe in recovery and aroma, just aroma
don't use twrp 2.4.3.0, or what ever number is for latest--leaving work so kinda in hurry
after you boot first time, reboot and clear caches and boot back into os
claer data on tweaks and hub apk's
not saying you need to do all this, it just eliminates everything but your phone
anyway--good luck
I got the same problem and just reflashed everything and it worked.
I tried reflashing everything but the problem still exists
