[Q] Help me find a good rom for One X (At&t) - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hello XDA good fellas recently i bought HTC one X (at&t) because i liked the build but now i am looking to find a good stock rom based on jelly bean. Following are the thing i consider will meet my requirement so please help me out here i m really confused.
1. Stable and Fast
2. Amazing Battery life
3. More features, scripts, tweaks and mods available or embedded i love tweaks and hacks
3. And of-course i need pure jelly bean experience
So guys please recommend me one rom that will blow my mind because i m expecting some good things from my One X
Thanks in advance

No now go away and test them yourself
Edit: I actually went through and read it and this thread is pathetic

The time you wasted posting this pointless thread you could have tried one or two already

Every lurker gets one chance in my book but after that one taste, we will hope all following questions will be about learning and helping others. Also, I would refrain from using the word hacks.
Now, I would suggest Jellybam which blends the best of many worlds and its ultra light and very fast. I would also urge you to try ViperrXL 3.0.0. Super fast and the battery life is unreal. Tweaks will follow soon as they aren't available yet.
Parting words:::: Read your butt off here. Your question has been asked a million times. It irritates many senior members. Research what others are saying by visiting the dev's threads in Android Development sections.
Enjoy

I don't mind answering questions even the ones that are asked plenty of times but these questions I kinda find a bit rude to devs...and a little ignorant and lazy on the users side...like it doesn't take much time to read the OP and see what's included and choose for yourself...

You should go through them all. Best way to learn and see for yourself what interests you. Our opinions are just that, opinions. Its up to the user to see what piques your interests. Then of course you'll want to try more and eventually help others out.

CleanROM if you want batterylife, UrDroid if you can afford slightly worse battery life for better performance.

I said I would stay stock rooted. Then I tried my first ROM. Now I can't stay on one for more than a couple days. Haha.
However, Jellybam has got my full attention right now. Speed is brutal!

Sorry to all if I heart anyone of you .
If any noob or rookie for android ask any question in development he is anwered like he has murdered someone.
They are rookie or noobs becouse they dont know anythink so there is no point of shouting on them one day they will also become one of them

I totally agree with you blaq.
There has been way too many unwanted and unnecessary noises on this forum, during the recent past.
I don't know whether it is the case of "one too many".
There are too many developments going on and am waiting to see how many are successfully completed.
I also agree with what you said, one of your other post,
"Dev releases should be for select few".
The general section (this one) have to be used to Q&A thread, not the dev section. It's so simple.

Every body wants the easier way out.
Ask Q and get A. Don't want to read a thread or search Google, which is not that difficult, is it?
When we were noobs, (though i consider myself as a senior noob), we used to follow the rule of reading the thread before posting.
There are only two solutions to this issue.
1. Either give answers to each Q. without getting frustrated.(Easier to say than to do practically)
2. Do not respond to the questions.

I attribute this to "EXCITEMENT".
You will agree to this that, till some time back there was very little development. Then Custom Roms came, Cm7 came, now Kernels are coming. There is an explosion of development. All want to show their latest and greatest. In doing so, they are forgetting the basic rule of S/w development "Test Cycle before Beta Release".
The user base is suffering as a result, which is making the Dev's suffer in return.
Agreed and agreed
Been using this phone from the scratch...then a bond to developement had been build... Then come developements..
But now things has been changed..but still no regrets ..at least we have done something for SL and I enjoyed It...

The development has been explosive no doubt but we are still left with a lot of half baked stuff, not to diss any devs here, you guys are honestly magicians in making the impossible possible but I feel there are too many separate things going on right now, but we do not have a single Fully developed Rom! I know its a matter of time and patience but many have tried and left too, its just that almost all the developments have the same bugs (camera, video rec, push notifications) so a collective effort to perfect these issues needs to be looked into.
But hey! keep up the good work! I never expected so much and thought it was a hopeless situation last year but things are a changin
Being a new member here, I was also glad and surprised at the explosive development with our phone. We got some of the most wanted ROMs (CM7, MIUI, CM9, etc.), and I guess some people also wanted those.
What they really don't understand is that all of these roms are under development.
I agree with ganesh on the excitement. Everybody is excited of having a new ROM for their phones, testing everything and all that, but then the problem is
they(or we newcomers) expect everything to work in the first version.
That's what I observed here. Even I, ironically, had to help fellow newbies as much as I can with the same question/bug repeated all over and over (*cough*blacklight issue*cough*).
plus, developers are humans too. That's what we all really missed. People here are eager to have new ROMs, but the greed or want of the ROM comes at the expense of complaining when they know it is a WIP.
Many signs have been put like
CAUTION THIS IS A WIP
and others, but still, they flash anyway. I'm guessing most of the newbies here have had it easy in their old phones whatever they may be, OR they can just be enthusiastic users who have just plunged into the Android world for the first time (like me. )
Well, I'm not a developer, as much as I want to contribute, but then I guess etiquette will have to apply as well. I try to read all the posts which I have missed, and see if there are any new updates and all.
tl;dr Anyway, whatever happens, let's just be thankful we all (actually you guys) have gone this far. There will always be annoying newbies in the forum, anyway. Some will learn to mature. Some will not.

[Q] Stable custom rom question.

I hope I am posting this thread in the right place.
What would be the best rom for HTC Inspire 4G?
I have been reading post after post to find some good stable roms to try.
My concerns are
Better battery life
Be able to use the current AT&T 4G network.
Some how to fix the poor low volume issues when the volume is maxed.
So if anyone can please help me by letting me know the best stable roms my phone please let me know.
Thank you

ok guy this question has been asked over and over again with many different answers. All ROMS are great you have to try them out yourself what may be good for one person another may totally hate. Take a few out for a test run flash one after full wipe and test for a week or two to see what you like and don't like out of it. A day or two is not enough to get the feel of a ROM. All are very solid for the carriers. ICS ROMs are still in a few bug issues but gingerbreads are solid.
Search and learn, Search and learn, Search and learn we all had to do it.
Welcome to XDA and enjoy the learning.

My other phone is a Motorola Atrix and I have CyanogenMod 7.1 on it. CyanogenMod is nice but I read in the XDA Forums that it has a problem with 4G networks on the HTC Inspire and yes I could be wrong on this.
The XDA Forums are great and a great place to ask questions and get questions answered.

I'm gonna disagree with you on this. this is whats wrong with the forums. More this than people asking stupid questions. They ask questions because they don't know. But you and people like you that rant should know better.
@OP, they are all in their infancy and none are really better than the other, go with http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1782009 and go from there.

Yes and no. If you're a noob, as we all have been at one point. The first thing that you have to do after joining is watch a little video we are all familiar with. "Use the search button", do your homework, investigate extensively, exhaust every possibility, try a few Rom and kernel combos, before you start asking the same dumb question that has been answered countless times before, in countless different parts of the forums.
Just wished people knew how to search a forum or to Google some more, that is it.

There isn't a fully functioning Jelly Bean ROM yet, but the CM10 ROMs have all the essential stuff working (phone, data, wi-fi, GPS, etc). So try out any one of the CM10 based ROMs. I'm currently on R-M-S CM10, it's feels really stable and optimized.

Weak. This is the first time I've ever been edited out in any thread here on XDA.
I guess the management here didn't want everyone to know what the privileged few really think about the rest of us.
@ OP, just flash away until you find one you like. And don't ever ask for any "best" anything around here. It's really subjective and people around here snap at such questions.

My sincere apologies for the earlier posts. Most RCs do not attend the RC forum and few that do actually participated in that thread which will certainly be removed now. I assure you that mods take these actions seriously and our punishments have been and are more severe due to a higher standard.

Some power tripping mod has deleted my comment on this thread... I asked which rom had better video playback (aokp or cm10), as I know from change logs both have issues but I wanted to know if maybe one worked better than the other.
The video playback is an objective feature of the rom so why is it unreasonable to ask someone who has already experienced both roms which is better? Rather than me having to dl both roms wasting internet data allowance then waste more time flashing both...
Sorry for the rant but it does piss me off when this type of thing happens, especially when it happens to me.

Jelly Bean roms are quite stable. I tested Pyromod's version and I did like it much, today I will test the CM10 build with the dragon kernel.
BTW, am I the only person who experiences strange stutter or maybe I should say, bad touchscreen reponsiveness on JB roms? Animations are fine in general no lag at all, but the phone doesnt register touches properly, and I need to focus a lot more the get around in menus compared to VenomS. I always clean install, so format and wipe everything.

isnt PyroMod CM9 which is ICS?
AOKP
I have flashed both the Bruce2728 CM10 Rom and the frankinstine AOKP rom and would have to say the the AOKP is the better of the two. The CM10 ROM has too many issues with wakelock and terrible battery life. The AOKP rom has corrected the Data issues and I am currently getting amazing battery life, going twice as long as I was on the CM10.

Haha I hope the OP isn't using the app, as the search function is shot atm.
Anyway, people have to start somewhere, they might be new to all this. New to forums in general. You can't expect them to know the rules and etiquette of a particular forum right from the word go.
Why not use all that worldly knowledge to direct them to the right delivery of their queries. Instead of being downright rude, and discouraging them from continuing with a thread, and possibly going out and starting another clean one?
Don't get me wrong, it clutters up the boards alright, but I'm not going to flame someone for that reason. Like I said, keep it friendly, and use that same energy you use to rudely come down on them, to direct them on the right path. Essentially, or more so, probably, stopping them from starting another thread!
@OP. Like some have already stated, it really is subjective mate, and comes down to personal choice. Only you will know what's best for you. Once you've mastered the art of ROM Fu, it's great fun flashing new ROMS, making Nandroids, jumping between them, testing them out, modifying them to your liking, and finding what sits right with you.

Flat out fastest rom out there?

I know this is kind of vague and broad, but I wanted to get your opinions on what the fastest roms are that are out there for the Verizon version of the Galaxy SIII.
I just got mine in the mail today and will be ready to root and get goin in a couple hours after the battery charges. I am coming from the Thunderbolt, may it rest in peace, and MY GOD the lag drove me crazy, so I want the quickest LEAST laggy rom for the SIII !
You've been here since 2011, you should know the difference between Q&A and Development.
this isn't development, shouldn't go here
as far as your question goes, i feel aerovans 4.2.1 is plenty fast enough....others you can tweak and screw with all you want if you have a kernel that supports OC'ing your device......only way to tell what is the fastest in your opinion is to flash each one and test it out...simple as that
edit: damnit was ninja'd of my chance to say that for the first time lol

Yeah and everytime I post something I think should go in Development everyone says it goes here so CLEARLY I can't win.
Definitely Executioner/Cleanrom either one you can't go wrong

Uh oh.. a wrong section violation. OP, hope you have a good lawyer..that's a crime punishable by death around here.
To answer the question though, people's mileage varies with ROMs. Its all in what you load with them(apps, etc.). The fastest are the AOSP ones, if you don't mind losing the bells and whistles, and putting up with the inherent bugs. Other than that, the more stripped the Touchwiz rom is, the faster it generally should be. Look around, see what one has the minimum of what you want, and give it a shot. Unlock your bootloader. Try an overclock kernel. See how it goes
lol, unless its a thread about a ROM you created, it shouldn't go in development or original development threads
if its a specific question relating to a certain ROM, ask it in that ROMs forum but beware to be flamed for not using the search function
if its a question about a theme or app and theres not a thread started in the themes & apps forum, then a question could possibly be asked in there if its relating to that only
all other questions and inquiries should be posted in the Q&A forum.......at least thats the logic i use when posting on the forums lol
It should be in q and a

This rom has been CRAZY fast on my s3. I tried Paranoid Android and Synergy too. The battery life is also insane, I got 26 hours yesterday (few hours on airplane for overnight).
While everyone is fluffing up their post counts by restating the SAME obvious information over and over for community brownie points, just thought I'd duck in and mention that the sky is generally blue, unless there are clouds in which case it may appear a color between white and dark grey.
In all seriousness though a mod will see that the thread is in the wrong section and move it accordingly. That is their job.Why 267754 people have to let that person know it's in the wrong section is beyond me.

Who cares where this question is posted. Honestly its better its posted here cause the dev threads are where everyone roams I never check q&a. So of it wasn't posted here the question would probably never be answered, so ask away op. My choice of ROM however is pures rls 10 plus has a nice theme included in the aroma installer.
Plus I thought this was a community of helping not making people feel like an idiot.

I personally like Galaxy MOD fast and a ton of options. I generally flip flop between twiz ROMs and aosp ROMs. I'm a flasholic tho lol.

Look the problem is if questions are posted in development then it will start to be hard keeping up with development because it will be cluttered by questions. That is why there are seperate sections.
As for them not being answered... Have you looked lately? There are many senior members who spend there time just cruising there to answer questions. Droid style, con, sdy(can't remember the rest now) to name a few. I personally spend most my time in q and a helping out with the little knowledge I have.
To the OP it depends what you mean by fast. If you mean benchmarks then stick with with tw, I prefer beans with lean kernel WAY overclocked. If real world I say AOSP based, they're light and lag free. My personnel favorite is Eclipse

What are you talking about? Did you read what I wrote I even answered the OP question. I simply pointed out the reason it does matter what forum. As a matter of fact I never even mentioned this was in the wrong spot.

I've always had really good luck with AOSP ROMS in the past on other devices as far as speed goes. Since getting my gs3 I've only tried a couple of TWIZ Roms so far and I'm really pleased with MLJBM with Lean Kernel. Its super fast and buttery smooth and battery is decent as well. With that said I've noticed in the past with previous devices that some Roms respond better on one device and not so much on another. Youre probably best off taking the advice that was mentioned earlier and try a few different ones out for yourself til you find what youre looking for

All i was getting at was instead of bashing the person for posting here just help em out and let the moderators deal with moving this to the proper area thats why there are moderators. We are supposed to be a "helpful" community.

Hello fellow Htc one s brothers and sisters:laugh:

So as many of you have already noticed by the many threads here on xda, htc has officially cancelled any type of software update to the awesome htc one s which is really disappointing considered this phone is capable of handling basically anything you can throw at it imo. That being said I personally am annoyed because I refused to root or use custom roms up until htc stopped ota updates support completely and so that day has come.I want to greet all the members and devs here on the htc one s forums and thank you all because with your wisdom and experiences as well as the latest and greatest custom roms kernal etc are only possible by you guys and so this phone will never die and will live on still competing against the latest and greatest phones. So yea sorry for the long rant but welcome another htc one s brother into the club . BTW anyone recommend some of the best roms and kernals that are the most stable I would greatly appreciate it so much thank you and long live the htc one s!!!!!:good::good::good::good:
what's the point of making a new thread to say this? It's just like spam... There is a thank button for a reason
2nd it's against xda rules to use comparison forums, test urself and make ur opinion

Thread closed. Asking for best ROMs or ROM comparisons is not allowed. Furthermore, there is already another thread about the One S not getting any updates, so use that.
