I've answered this question in the other post but I'll answer again. Try using pdroid. It allows you to set permissions for each and every app. Not exactly sure too what extent you can set the Permissions, but I believe it could be what your looking for. I've used it myself and I do know it will allow you to set permissions for every app. So it might be what your looking for. It would not hurt to give it a try.you can find pdroid in android apps and games,. Hope this is helpful. Hope it's what you need. Best wishes

Guys, I have a X10i updated to Android 2.1, I am very happy with the phone except that i cant use one basic functionality of the phone.
The calender app requires me to sync with gmail & somehow Vodafone Live GPRS does not permit such registrations as its apparently only for basic web browsing. For such registrations, i would have to opt for advanced GPRS in Vodafone titled Vodafone connect whose monthly rental is quite high. Since my GPRS usage is limited, I am not willing to pay that amount just to sync my phone to google!
I am frustrated that i cant access such a basic app like calender... I have searched the entire Android market for a calender app which does not require me to sync to google or gmail.
Can you guys help me with this? I just need a basic calender app!
Same with me also...i want same app....is there any?

I´m not sure if this is what you`re looking for but try "DejaOffice - Outlook, USB Sync"
Search for "DejaCalendar" on Market
More basic
AnCal
Jorte
Gives you the option to use google, or jorte calendar for the data.. so use Jorte.. and it also has tasks, great widgets, and the basic app is better than the standard one.

What are these options for? I want the sync feature to be exclusively ON just for Gmail, Whatsapp (those having accounts listed below that).
The problem is that it is ON for all other apps and drains my battery as well as using packet data a lot. When I disable Background data, it is OFF for all and I can't use Market too. Any way to solve this?
Sorry for my bad English if you can't get it clearly.

I don't wanna use an app.
all i just want is a modified MMS.apk that can/has support or provide password on my chosen thread inside my inbox.
If i am gonna use the app vault, it will set a password on the whole application itself.
But thanks anyway, your reply is a of good help.
Just install GoSMS, turn on the password setting. You don't have to use it. It'll lock your stock messaging app as well. Also make sure to turn off GoSMS's notifications and also there's a setting that you should turn off called "Disable other messaging app notifications."

Thank you for this but the problem with 3rd Party application is that they are always running on the background and the results is that it can easily drain your battery.
I have an Android phone and tablet (see my signature for models), both of which I use at home on my home WiFi network and at college, which uses a proxy server on their network to censor websites and whatnot. I can connect fine to the college's network through a web browser, but the applications on either of my devices cannot seem to connect using the pre-configured proxy settings. These applications include the Play Store, Yahoo! Mail, and various other applications that needs to sync. I have noticed that whenever I open a web browser on my Android devices, a popup box prompting me for my network Username and Password, and I have to press "Log In" to connect to the network.
So my question is this; is there a way to tell my apps to use the proxy settings and my username/password to connect to the network?
(I have yet to try an application called ProxyDroid - it looks like it will work, but I will have to try it tomorrow to see. It might have some problems working on JB 4.2.2.)
Use proxy droid....
It wld surely help u...
if it's helping you it must be thanked.

ProxyDroid doesn't work in 4.2.2, unfortunately.
Hi,
You should try Drony or SandroProxy

Hi friends i am trying to search a firewall app which cam limit specific internet connections in specific apps, but not found it yet.
For example i wanna limit my browser to acces every google connections by ip or hostnames as following.
*.Google.Com
Or
8.8.4.4
So does anyone know a firewall like that?

android firewall can make it as you wish
Not sure if it has the exact feature you desire, but the Avast mobile security firewall seems rather comprehensive.
