Not Working
Well, when I go to link I have to make some selections and after that I get to download but it doesn't download. It shows the download page but nothing happens, just the countdown starts and ends but nothing happens. Then I clicked the "Click here to start download if it doesn't start automatically" which redirects me to the same page, countdown starts and ends but nothing happens. I tried it with many browsers and on different OS. Can you give another link on another site please? Because my Tab is bricked right now, Odin and Heimdall doesn't work on my windows and there are many problems... Thanks in advance.

EKEN T01A Stock ICS Firmware 4.0.3 (v0.8.1 - 2012-02-24)
Finally found, after a long ride : I attach the necessary software and instruction found over the net to flash it. In the firmware file there are further instructions and links, but this is the correct procedure from futeko dot com
Firmware details:
File Name: sun4i_crane_t01a_0.8.1_20120224.rar
Type: Firmware
Manufacturer: Eken
Tablet Name: sun4i_crane_t01a_0.8.1_20120224
Model Number: T01A T01
CPU Name & Model: Allwinner A10
Firmware Date: 2012-02-24
OS Name: ICS
OS Version Number: 4.0.3
Firmware Type: Stock
Flashing Instructions:
Q: How to flash firmware (also known as a 'ROM') on the Eken T01 and T10 (and T01A)?
A: This is a fiddly process so some perseverance might be required. It will work in the end. From user reports it seems to work most smoothly on the 32bit version of Windows XP. Instructions:
- Firmware must be flashed using a Windows application called Livesuit. Download it from the link below.
- Once downloaded, and before attaching your tablet to your PC, run the file 'LiveSuitPack_version_1.09_20111101.exe' from within the Livesuit folder. This should install a new device on your system (VID_1f3a_PID_efe8). This device may show with an exclamation mark in Windows Device Manager, this doesn't matter and can be ignored.
- Now download the firmware image you want to install. Firmwares are linked to in the downloads section to the left. After decompressing the archive you will end up with a .img file (e.g. 'sun4i_crane_t01a_0.8.1_20120224.img'). This is the firmware/ROM image that you are going to flash (or copy) to the tablet.
- Without attaching your tablet to your PC run 'LiveSuit.exe' from within the Livesuit folder. You should get an application with 6 icons.
- You will be asked if you want to be guided through the process, select no.
- Click on the leftmost icon (a cube), browse to your downloaded firmware image, and select it.
- Now attach your tablet to your PC by USB cable whilst holding down the volume+ button on the top. Straight after attaching the cable, and whilst still holding down the volume+ button, start pressing the tablet power button repeatedly. This (slightly frenzied) procedure puts the tablet into update mode.
- After a few seconds you will be asked if you want to perform a forced firmware update. Select yes. You will be asked if you're sure. Select yes.
- The update will start. You can release volume+ at this point.
- The update should take approx 3 minutes to complete. You will see a % complete progress bar during the process and will get a dialog saying OK when it's done.
- Turn your tablet on and you will have the new firmware.

ROOT Instructions & Script (windows):
PELASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE PROCEED!!!
DOWNLOAD: Mediafire.com - BalTac-EKEN-RootScript
Instructions and script are fully based on the work of MrTasselhof for Ainol Novo 7 Advanced, from slatedroid forum. My only work was to adapt (I've deleted the uneeded part of the code from the .BAT file) and test the script for EKEN T01a Tablet. Maybe it just work even for other eken devices. Please feedback.
MrTasselhof said:
This is a straightforward script.
It's sole purpose is to get your device rooted and provide the tools to verify it.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
**IMPORTANT PRE-CHECK LIST**
Connect your tablet using the OTG port (normal procedure)
- YOU MUST USE THE INCLUDED USB CABLE
Make sure USB Debugging is ENABLED
- Settings --> Applications --> Development --> USB debugging (Green Checkmark)
Make sure to check Device Manager to ensure that there aren't any devices with a yellow exclamation mark.(WARNING: the eken tablet HAVE one of the drivers with an exclamation mark: please, just ignore it )
- Right Click on My Computer --> Manage Device --> Device Manager
Here is a link to a driver package I created... (I didn't need to use them. Drivers suited with LiveSuitPack are enough, but just in case...)
- Download Link: Mediafire.com - Android USB Multiple Driver Pack
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
Instructions:
Extract the folder to ANY location you wish. (it is self contained)
Run !RUN-ME-BalTac-RootScript.bat
You will be given the following prompt:
Make sure to enable USB Debugging on the tablet
- Settings -) Applications -) Development -) USB debugging (green checkmark)
'
1. Check Tablet Connection
2. Verify Tablet is ROOT Capable (with this script)
3. Run ROOT Script
'
4. Quit
'
Choose Option (1 thru 4):
Option 3 Performs the actual ROOT process.
- It also installs the following programs: (don't worry if they are already installed)
* Superuser
* Root Checker
* Root Explorer
* Busybox
Watch the magic happen
Enjoy!

EDIT.:Zero Size Internal Storage Problem and the step taken to fix it.
(source.:http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29800946&postcount=78 )
Got the same problem. After reset, storage size become Zer0!. Fixed it by doing this:
1. Put a copy of term.apk into my memory card.
2. Run file manager and locate term.afk, run it to install.
3. Open terminal emulator and got nice prompt. Alas don't get the sharp prompt (#)
***ROAD BLOCK*** Need to root the tablet first.
4. Grab Tesselhof script (Tasselhof - Root, Market, Build.Prop, & Tweaks Script - AllWinner A10)
5. Install PdaNetA350.exe just to be sure that the tablet connect....
6. Run Tesselhof. Da*n, did not work 100%. Continue with option 2,3,4,5 in Tesselhof. Reboot the tablet.
7. Rerun Tesselhof. Option 2,3,4,5 again! Success!!
8. Reinstall term.afk and running it...
9. Execute the god command "su" !! Yes.... got the sharp prompt! Hehe (#)
10. Typing this one liner to fix Zero size storage
cp /system/xbin/busybox /system/bin
Pressing enter and rebooting the tablet.
FIXED!!

Maybe you are using the wrong firmware. this one is intended for EKEN MID T01A 7". Yours is the 10" tablet EKEN MID T10. But don't worry: There is a link that you can find in the guide that come with the previous firmware. Is an eken FTP space where are stored the latest firmware for T01A, T02A and T10A (and I suppose they are even compatible for T01, T02 and T10). Let's have a try. If this one won't work I'll try to find the specific T10 firm.

I think that Is the same device, but for now I haven't find any community that give an exaustive support to the tablet. There is something compatible in communities that develop for Ainol tablets, like slatedroid forum (some app and scripts. but don't use Ainol custom firmwares: they aren't compatible and will brick your device!!!). If you only need to ROOT that tablet you can try this using only the first 3 options (others might cause the tablet stop working or give some error):
Tasselhof ROOT script
If this external link is not allowed, I ask the moderators to warn me and I will report here the entire guide and the necessary files.

I've found this one (I can't try it so I'm not sure if it's a true T02 Fw): EKEN T02 Firmware 2012/04/07 - DOWNLOAD
But the download manager say to me that is an FTP transaction and the download is extremely slow (ETA: about 2 hours). If you want I can download it and reup in my mediafire account.

ICS 4.0.3 for HD for all 900

Android Ice Cream Sandwich for HD for all 900yer base on the Hi3716C Soc
Hello dear friends I managed to get working a new Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3 based on the 3.0.8 kernel and the update zips.
Requirements:
An Eboda HD for all 900 player (If you don't have one, buy one )
The device must be up to date with the latest original v1.0.0.r938 rom. The download page can be found here
An sdcard/usb-stick formated using FAT file system with at least 256 MB free space
Lots of guts (If you follow the procedure right nothing bad should happen)

Click to collapse
Disclaimer
I am not responsible for any damage what-so-ever done to your Eboda HD for all 900, as with any ROM.
You accept this risk on your own !!!.
Click to collapse
Instalation Procedure:
Be Aware that the install procedure will delete all data from the internal SD-CARD !!!
So back-up everything that is important
Get an USB-stick/SD-Card
Format the USB-Stick/SD-Card using FAT file system
Copy update_system.zip and update.zip to the USB-Stick/SD-Card
Make sure that you TV is switched on and the Player is connected to it
Shut down the player
Unplug any storage (USB-Sticks, SD-Cards, External or Internal Hard-Drives)
Unplug the power cable from the player
Insert the USB-Stick/SD-Card into the player
Push the player power button and keep it held down
With the power button held down plug in the player's power cable
Keep the player's power button held down for at least 5 seconds (you should be now in recovery mode)
Now the update procedure will start you will be able to see it happening on the TV
The update procedure has 2 main stages, after stage 1 it will reboot and continue the second one.
When the second stage will finish the updater progress bar will reach 100%
Wait till the second stage finishes then unplug the power cable and plug it back to boot the device
Congratulation !!! you flashed Android 4.0.3 on Eboda HD for all 900
Click to collapse
Do not install any original/non original rom made by EBODA or whatever over this 4.0.3 version !!! It can brick your device permanently !!!
If you want to come back to the original v1.0.0.r938 you will find the instruction bellow.
After coming back to the factory version with the bellow procedure to v1.0.0.r938 you can install what ever ROM you wish on your own risk.
Installation Notes:
The installation will happen in 2 stages, the player will reboot once and continue with stage 2
After the second stage finishes you must unplug the power cable and plug it back again to boot the device.
This is necessary because of a bug in the new 3.0.8 kernel that does not handle well the power management.
Click to collapse
Not Working:
The shut down. When you shut down the player it will enter in sleep mode.
Shunting down by command line will generate a kernel panic and the device will freeze,
case in which you need to unplug the power cable.
Click to collapse
What is next:
Fixing the shutdown
Demystifying and eventually finding out why the player uses only 256 MB of RAM
Adding XBMC
Adding a launcher more suitable for a media player
Adding more specific media player stuff, like apps etc..
Click to collapse
Reinstalling the original v1.0.0.r938 version:
Download the update_system.zip and the update.zip and follow the above install procedure replacing the zip update files with this ones.

The files and the links are ok.The names of the zips are the same, that is right, but the content ins different. The update_system for the 4.0.3 and 938 are similar in size but the differences are:
update_system.zip for 4.0.3 is similar in size to the 938 but the content is slightly different. The 4.0.3 has a different bootargs.img that has been modified for the 4.0.3 rom, the boot.img (the bootloader) for the 4.0.3 is the same as for 938 with the only difference that has been patched because it hold a hard-coded partition layout for the recovery, and the recovery is completely the same.
update.zip for 4.0.3 is completely different from the one for the 9.3.8
So the files are as posted:
For 4.0.3:
update_system.zip https://www.dropbox.com/s/ogqnyasiafz4126/update_system.zip 7.96 MB
update.zip https://www.dropbox.com/s/t90did16in2whe6/update.zip 108.53 MB
For the 938
update_system.zip https://www.dropbox.com/s/wh1m1oq4xtif41n/update_system.zip 7.08 MB
update.zip https://www.dropbox.com/s/dec9fmqtai30tv4/update.zip 95.26 MB
Please don't forget to give me some feedback if you install and test it.

Hello I also reproduced the issue reported by you.
It seams that when going from the original 938 to 4.0.3 the device gets a kernel panic because of some wrong combination of kernel and recovery.
Looking forward to fix it.
Please give me your phone number so, I can talk about the next steps of fixing your device.

The bug was fixed now, but unfortunately your device is bricked and it can be restored only by using a ttl-serial to usb or tt-serial to RS-232 (computer old serial port) adapter.
Please send be your device by post and I will restore it for you since bricking it was my fault
if is not possible I can provide detailed instructions how to restore it.

@DieOrange - It is Genuine. It is downloaded directly Moto Servers. The ones posted in other threads are for Brazillian Versions. This is Indian Version.

May be your ISP has blocked mega.nz. Is anyone else facing this issue ? I will have to upload it to other filesharing site in that case.
Thanks for sharing, I can't download either (Europe).
Thanks, I confirm that is impossible to download the file neither from the browser or from the mega plugin. I'm connencting from Europe.
This can be installed on the moto x play eu version or I need to flash the original India Firmware first? I've an non-rooted moto x play.
I have the same question
It could be. The Filename looks good. But with no Mirror it would be hard to test
Can't download even from mega app

Introduction
If you want to put root and TWRP on your device then you have to commit to this as there is no going back from Alcatel to Vodafone firmware after this unless someone uses the scatter file for this device to perform a readback (SP Flash Tool, search: Hovatek how to make a full backup of your stock ROM using sp flash tool, however, the dev blocks should be gathered straight from the scatter file, not MTK droid tools. Will update this if this happens it is successfully conducted by someone ) This little corner of XDA will show you how to:
Flash Alcatel Firmware
Install Custom Recovery (TWRP/CTR)
Root with SuperSU
Install one custom ROM (Cyanogen MOD 13)
NOTE: I will NOT teach you how to install drivers if you need to do that go to https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-440.html (If you are running Windows 7 and up you need to disable 'Driver Signature Verification', this link will show you how to do it: https://forum.hovatek.com/thread-752.html
If you can't figure out how to that by yourself (everything is a google search away) then you shouldn't even attempt any of this.
All files will be on AndroidFileHost
If you want to download all the files for all the tutorials, then you can download the complete package which has everything required for the tutorials (except for drivers of course)

I have questions......
Since Google keeps crashing me out of apps and breaking my brightness control to send me ads and try to get me to install experimental zombies this past month, I'm keen to try this on my VFD501 Vodafone Smart Turbo 7 but.....
Does the initial step have to be Alcatel? I only ask because my SIM is 2 Degrees and I don't know if it'll work with it as it's a bit sketchy while it's still thinking it's a Vodafone.
Is the second step the ONLY rom it'll work with? How far can the hardware be pushed or more efficient?
Lastly, would I still be able to get updates for the usual app suspects? I'm getting further into Minecraft now there's online server games and I'm not finding any options for updates other than through the Play Store. I also watch quite a bit of YouTube on it (another Google aquisition). Would these be denied me by the EvilCorp™ once I free my phone from it's clutches and get rid of Google Movies, Google Mail, Google other bloatware aside from Books where I have several and would like to keep reading them?
HIe, when can we get the custom rom.looks great.
Do you still have the mixed Spanish English rom?
Could you post that please if you still have it? When i installed the cyanogenmod after flashing to alcatel after locking the screen and turning it on again it won't render properly anymore, i just see random lines. Thank you in anticipation!
guys, please can anyone make a backup (TWRP)of stock ROM with /system /data /FRP /protect /boot ? with any google account please.
i want to unlock FRP on my vfd500, i gorgot my google account on this phone so i cant go pass setup wizzard, thanks

So far you have to flash Alcatel to do any modding whatsoever, however, I may have a solution so we can get root on VFD 500 running Vodafone stock but not VFD 501 (however I'm begging my friend to borrow his to do a Miracle Box Backup so fingers crossed :silly: so I can get the 501 version of the Vodafone OS) if the solution works I will release a video on it, if you want to know if you have to flash Alcatel for custom ROMs yes you need Alcatel for the ROMs there is currently no ROMs for this device, and I don't know how to make and edit ROMs just gonna put that out their
Not working for me. Format completed OK. but then error "S_FT_ENABLE_DRAM_FAIL (0xFC0)" given when doing the download and format. Vodafone VFD501, used scatter file provided, drivers appear to be installed ok except i get "MediaTek USB port" used by the firmware loader. "MediaTek Preloader USB VCOM Port" stays even when phone is not plugged in and had yellow triangle

Solved now using this rom and instructions.
Can't post links so google - Download Vodafone Stock Rom for all models - Android MTK and look for VFD500 in the list
The driver tool uninstalled lots of drivers i think this may have helped it use the "MediaTek Preloader USB VCOM Port" which allowed it to write to the phone. Took about 10-15 mins to boot afterwards, I thought it was stuck but just a slow phone

Vodafone_Smart_Turbo_7_VFD500 - RR 7.1 ROM + TWRP 3.0.2 + SP Flash Tool + VFD500_ROM
Hi!
I get a Vodafone_Smart_Turbo_7_VFD500 phone bricked and was very dificult to find a working rom, there are a few that boot but after locking the phone screen goes mad...
I fixed a RR rom, still not perfect but is better.
One kwon issue is charging with phone off, screen stays white and on...
I Let here a link with:
SP_Flash_Tool_v5.1916_Win
SP_USB_Win7_Drivers ( Copy to Desktop and execute the shortcut)
Vodafone_Smart_Turbo_7_VFD500_MT6735M_V2.39.1_21122016_6.0 ROM to flash with SP Tool
open_gapps-arm-7.1-nano-20191029.zip
RR-N-v5.8.5-PIXI4_5_4G.zip (Fixed) Rom
TWRP3.0.2-0_VDF500.img Recovey (Use SP Tool with MT6735M_Android_scatter.txt from Vodafone ROM to flash it)
To use SP tool, first install the drivers then open SP tool, search for MT6735M_Android_scatter.txt file. To install full Vodafone ROM click in Download only and select Format All + Download then Download key above and plug USB, to install TWRP unselect all and only select recovery and click in location field, search for TWRP, click in download from above and plug USB ( If faild with error you need to flash all Vodafone ROM first).
After all this, use TWRP to flash RR Rom then Gapps.
