R signal replaced by 3g
FM working .
If you have any problem let me know
Great! Will test! Gapps?
[Edit: Use Gapps from kfazz CM10. Works Perfectly]
Yes, which gapps should we use? The various JB gapps I have tried do not seem to be showing up on the device.
Everything works (with bugs)
Camera fc's after every photo but will show up in gallery[Edit: Very Selective. Wait for the FC pop up or it will show up in gallery as corrrupted pic]
Data (3G(Evdo)/1X) works but does not show upload/download on signal bars.
Have not tested GPS.
Unable to logcat
[Edit 3:03 pm Est - ADB shows device offline at all times]
[Edit Jan 5, 2013 10:16 am Est - GPS works (Tested using lockscreen weather). With Google Now the first two cards show up but you cannot scroll the cards. Only the search bar. Also Voice Search is unusable (Tries to initialize but it will say "Didn't catch that. Try speaking again." Each time)]
Will upload Screenshots later

Same, the 4.1.1 Gapps don't work for me. I can only log into my Google account but nothing else.

Thanks for the info I will try to fix it in next release USB Debugging works only @ time of booting & 5-10 seconds after booting working on a fix.
@ all who asked about gapps : I hope I get a fix in next release..
So the R that plagued your ICS rom is gone with the normal 3G sign in place, so yay for that! It seems as though your ACID audio (Both of them) don't play nice with your ROM. Nothing happens. Now, when I installed the AwesomeBeats zip I use for ROMs, that worked. The ACID and Dobly were still installed, dunno what they did. Actually I still don't know what they do, even with your ICS build. As far as everything else, so far it's the same problems as the fellow above stated. I'll get around to installing my Caffeinated Rattlesnake ringtone on this. I find anything else I'll let you know. Oh and it bootloops alot, though it did that with Kfazz build, but interestingly not in that Altonus Jelly ROM. His boots up just fine everytime.

Try a fresh flash wiping everything this time. (system, boot, data, cache, dalvik cache and sd-ext if you use that) Give the boot up at least 7 minutes.

I always full wipe. If you're talking about the bootlooping issue, it's like that with Kfazz build. It bootloops like 4-5 times then it catches on.
Dont have that problem here

Version?
Wow i'm going to try this, one question, it's JB 4.1.2 o 4.1.1? and this ROM have more languages than English?
Very nicely done. I've been running this for 24 hours now, and am again impressed with how well you've gotten a 4.x OS to run on the OGD! Primary functionality is there - phone, SMS, email - and it's good to see the uSD card is recognized now so that the camera works. Additionally, I was able to install gapps (and can now access my contacts...) and have Google Play Store functioning. Awesome!
Memory is limited, obviously, so installing Maps took a lot of what was left. GPS is good to go, but there is some delay in getting ptp directions set. Camera was a little delayed in finishing a job, as well. The only quirk I've seen so far is the WiFi Hotpot, which on the one hand is awesome in that it allows the OGD to offer a true infrastructure AP (instead of the usual Ad-Hoc AP), but it does not consistently start up. Probably hardware related, for obvious reasons, but there you have it.
Still, beautiful and smooth for what I need. I can easily use this as a daily driver, for now, so I'll see how it goes over the next few days. Great work! Thanks for offering it out to us!
Debugging works
Hello all & thanks for trying my ROM.

Use a different kernel like kfazz JB safe one,,,,,,, But default kernel is a beast
Now the acid audio just plug in CM 10 JB by kfazz or Eman and listen music in head phones & speaker without any sound mods. now use my Rom which has AC!D baked in. you can find difference For better USE Noozy addon & inside noozyoxide app line out audio Use EQ preset as unique 3 ,VE engine to weak &VSUR to Live (first one) . AVLS works only when using other music player than NOOZY...
In settings>>sound>>Music effects>>choose Noozxoide....
Just a tip..... I like this with my headphones & yes headphone quality also matters .................
@ adverbius :: thanks for input but can you pm me link for gapps you used ????????????
@ chemahg7 :: Nope currently English only to get other languages to work I need to decompile framework & service & messout there
enjoyyyyyyyyy

I should've been more specific. Clean wipe, each time. Cleared dalvic afterwards. Always check it on music effects. (Been doing this since I found Awesome beats months ago.) There is no audio enhancements when I use them. I put the bass boost on Awesome Beats, mess with the equalizer, ect. Nothing happens. Loaded up the Noozyoxide one, again, nothing happens. Put on that SRS enhancement, audiophile, equalizer, nothing. When I put the vanilla awesome beats one after a clean wipe without installing the ACID ones is when the enhancement kicks in. ACID is still there so I guess its working in tandem with vanilla?
So I did a fresh wipe and reflashed Altonus JB, this time with ACIDS sound mod see if it was just ACID acting like a jerk but ACID Awesomebeats/Noozyoxide actually work with that ROM. I dunno what else to tell you? Maybe it's a permissions issue that's not letting it happen? I could be the only one. It was working for me in your ICS rom.
Radio
Radio is not working like the kfazz's ROM
@ chemahg7 : Ok let me check it.. Can you provide me logcat.
@ ALL who is using the rom....: >>>>> Just download Rom manage & fix permission in that . I found Permission Glitch in rom ...

Most people have 3rd Party apps they use.
If options you need were removed,
this ROM may not be for you.
::: SD Setup :::
Swap
Fat
ext - optional - only has Froyo app2sd
::: TO INSTALL :::
- Do whatever you do for backing up, example: nandroid
- Wipe with this method:
---- While USB plugged to the computer,
---- run the bat in this post and format this way:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6855422&postcount=3
---- to ensure full format, I also use AmonRa recovery wipe options
---- just to be safe
---- If you are comfortable in ADB, then just use it to run this command:
adb shell mount -a; rm -rf /system/*; rm -rf /data/*; rm -rf /cache/*;
---- You can skip the bat file if you do this
- Flash ROM ONLY
- Reboot Device
- After that, change whatever settings you would like. DO NOT INSTALL ANYTHING.
- Just Setup CM settings, wifi, etc (optional)
---- I like to enable wifi and put in my network key
---- so my wifi is going when the market begins
---- to sync my apps
- Reboot Recovey
- Flash GAPPS
- Reboot
- Unlock after reboot and you will be prompted with the Google sign in.
---- After unlock, I usually plug it in, have wifi enabled,
---- set it up under 'USB Debugging' to "stay awake when plugged in"
---- and leave it alone for a bit. This way, you aren't stressing out your system
---- while the market is downloading 100 apps at once lol
---- This is also why I reboot and setup PRIOR to installing gapps.
---- A reboot or three may be needed to ensure everything is settled in nicely
---- If you are wondering where your responsiveness is, look at your downloads
---- in the market, see if you are still syncing. If you reboot during some downloads,
---- you may need to cancel and restart them.
Fully Tested on my G1.
Current Phone Specs:
- Danger SPL
- G1-radio-2_22_23_02
- Dithering OFF (CM Options)
- 96mb Swap
- 512mb ext3 - just in case, this way, if I need an ext partition, I dont
-------------- have to re-format the entire card.

due to your use of this ROM in any way.

Those apps are much slower than the stock camera app imo. What's wrong with the camera app included in CM6? Snappy for me

I knew I wasn't the only one who didn't want all the other junk!
Hey marlo, I have a problem. I've never modded my g1 before and decided to do this rom first off. I went back and rooted it and then installed amon ra recovery and did radio update to 2.22 and danger spl.
I flashed your rom through recovery and it booted up fine the first three times but for some reason now it wont stop rebooting. It gets to the home screen, "press menu(my bad) 'swipe' to unlock", for about a second or two and then screen fades as if I did a battery pull. Then boots right back up.
I'm going to try some things when i get home, in recovery, when I wipe before install, am I suppossed to wipe all options in that sub menu? Any help would be much appreciated! Thank you and all others in advance.
Alright still having the same problem. I loaded in recovery and wiped everything except the sdcard partition, which I dont have my sdcard partitioned, so I didnt want to do it and wipe my rom zip.
After wiping everything else I reflashed the rom from sd. And rebooted from recovery. Rom loaded up great and worked perfect on first boot for about an hour until I decided to reboot it to make sure everything was working great and it started again.
Will load up to "swipe to unlock" and once its done preparing sd card it fades like I did a batt pull. Help, please?
Ok, sorry I wasn't following forum rules. I didn't know the meaning of the term "search". I spent a good 45 straight minutes searching just now as well as searching earlier today, but you guys are right, it pays off. I had wifi on, and only after a reboot would it go into the wifi reboot bug because on first launch with no wifi on it would connect without rebooting.
Hey marlo, I have some questions about this build and about a stripped down version of android to run games. Answer on here if you like, but I'll PM you about it.
Sorry for the delay. Your bug may have something to do with cyanogen, or what I removed. CM has been known to do similar things.
I never experienced your scenario, but I'm not saying I doubt you.
Games ran fine for me, I played robo defense all the time.
Thanks for trying my version of CM.

Well, after a break, a lot of new OTA updates and such, and a lot of patience from most of you...here it is! I apologize for the wait and hope you find this release worth it. I still have to upload pics and such, they will be here soon.
I consider this still to be a Beta (have yet to find anything on it that does not work) but you can use this as a daily driver because (like all the other Azrael ROMS before it) it is a modified OTA. If you do happen to have any problems with it, please let me know. A more finalized version will be coming out soon but I am using this as my daily driver and working flawlessly for me thus far.
Please enjoy, will update this first post soon to reflect more of the changed in the ROM.
Note: I highly recommend a full wipe (Data, cache, Dalvik, and SD:Ext) before installing. If not, enjoy your gamble!

Azrael X v5.0 by Ricsim78
To install on your Evo:
1. Copy the ROM zip file to the root of your SD card.
2. Shut off your phone and boot into recovery.
3. Do a full wipe (Data, cache, Dalvik, SD Ext.) Do it twice to be sure if you want to!
4. Install the ROM. It should take a few minutes to install.
5. Reboot the phone. It should take a long time to start up the first time. Please be patient!
6. If all goes well, enjoy your new ROM!
7. If not, start over from step 2 after pulling your battery.
To install a custom kernel: Let it boot all the way into the ROM first and then reboot into recovery and wipe the cache and Dalvik. Then install the custom kernel and reboot. DO NOT install any MODS without letting the ROM load up without any addons first!
To install a theme: Let it boot all the way into the ROM first, then reboot into recovery and wipe the cache and Dalvik. Then install the theme and reboot.
How to backup and restore using Titanium backup Here is the method I use to backup my phone information before I wipe and install a new ROM
I backup my entire phone with a batch "Backup all user apps + system data"
Wipe and install the new ROM,
I open Titanium Backup (TB) and give it super user rights.
I hit "Updates?" in TB and make sure I am running the latest.
I hit "Problems?" in TB and make sure I am using Busybox 1.60
Hit menu and select batch
Select "Backup all new apps + newer versions of apps", if any.
Select "Restore missing apps with data"
Go over the list and make sure you are restoring only what you want
Hit run batch operation
After it completes, go back into TB and backup restore.
Restore contacts twice
Restore MMS twice
Restore Mail twice
If any of the 3 above do not take, do it again
Restart your phone
Verify mail, MMS, and contacts restored. If not, restore again.
Why Amon RA and not Clockwork recovery?
Clockwork does not wipe the Dalvik properly (if at all). I personally have had nothing but problems with both Clockwork and ROM manager
I have said countless times that if you use either of the above, it is at your own risk. Install Amon RA recovery and I bet any wiping/installing problems will go away.
If you already are using ROM manager, pick the option to install a custom recovery, choose Amon RA 1.8. If that option is greyed out, reinstall the latest Clockwork then install RA.
Note: Do not do a fix permissions with anything unless you need to, you can screw stuff up that way.
Trust me, the new ROM is devoid of problems (I have never tested a ROM this much before releasing it). If you experience any, it is either something you are doing wrong or incomplete wipes thanks to your recovery not doing it's job properly.
Which kernels work with this ROM?
Any that are designed for a Sense ROM. This includes:
Netarchy's
Kingclick's
Hero Over's
Ziggy's
HTC's
Which kernel do you recommend to use?
I cannot recommend a kernel for you because each EVO reacts different. The best for my phone can be the worse for yours.
You have to try the different ones available and pick the one that works best for you. What I do is start with their latest and work your way down until you find one that works well. Then stick with it.
This also goes for overclocking, SetCPU settings, etc.
With the new Hardware 0004 Evo phones, a custom kernel may or may not break the camera and video recording features. Make sure to test them before you head out.
Which themes work with this ROM?
Themes make your phone look nice but can also add problems to an otherwise smooth running ROM. You can use any theme you wish, but Nandroid first and if anything is broken, please do not blame the ROM as it is the theme that added the problem.
You definitely need to install a theme that works with a Gingerbread based ROM. DO NOT load an older theme (for older OTA's, for example 3.70, 3.30 or 3.29) as the framework files are different.
Always Nandroid before using a custom theme. Once you load up the theme, verify no problems are present that were not there before you installed the theme. If there is, keep the theme and either live with the problem, or fix it if you can. If not,be sure to let the maker of that particular theme aware that it is not working with Azrael ROM. They may be glad to help and you are helping them make their theme more compatible.
This one reserved for me as well...10 characters
time to load this baby.
I am currently uploading it, that is why the download link will be available soon. Sorry upload takes a while. It will be up within half an hour.
i feel like its a few hours before xmas, i cant wait!
Edit:
will the older Azrael themes work well with the 2.5?
Sorry guys for the confusion, I am trying to maximize my time and setup the post while uploading it, it will be available within 20 minutes. I will update the first post when it is ready.

3.30.651.2 (and subsequently 3.30.651.3) is 100% designed for newer Evo manufactured in November.
These Evos are hardware number 0004 and have a different camera chip and some other changes to the framework of the ROMS to accommodate this new hardware. HTC threw us ROM makers a curve ball!
You can use 3.30.XXX.X on an older Evo, but you can experience the following problems (some of which I personally witnessed on my own 0003 Evo):
Fast battery drain
3rd party camera apps having trouble working
Speed descreased a bit. (My new Azrael ROM is faster than my new Omega ROM on my phone, though they are identical besides the base).

I liked omega but really do prefer the clear theme, so am really glad to see you post this new version of azrael, Woo Hoo!!! downloading now and will flash riptide clear over it from your link... Very sweet! you make a nice rom, keep up good work!

Ahhhh! And I was just going to ask you ric why the base change, my Evo is hardware #0003 too.
I have heard of reports of 0003 having the new camera chip
Has the 3.30 base been definitely pinpointed as the cause of the rapid battery drain? I trust you and your Rom that's why I am using it. I only ask because it seems as most devs here have updated their Rom to the new base and was curious what in the build would cause this? Thanks.

First!!
Just flashing now.. will edit this post with my views and constructive criticism
All boots fine and works seemingly well. It has come to my attention that it is are still many G2 remnants such as quick keys in settings and US tmobiles setup page. However something im slightly more interested about is that if you can easily port over a G2 rom could you do the same with a G2 version of CyanogenMod for our DHD's? Feedback would be greatly appreciated on the matter!
Noted bugs:
Quick keys in settings and setup
Bluetooth doesn't activate
No fastboot(could be added?)
Gtalk etc could be removed due to DHD being UK only
Swype doesnt acctually swipe it works as only a standalone qwerty
I will update when i witness more bugs, extensive testing will occur on weekends only ! BTW IT WORKS GREAT + VERY SMOOOTH!!
Works great! It´s very very fast and smoothy...no issues so far...i´m gonna keep an eye in this rom..looking forward new releases!
Kepp going with ur good job!
Excellent work
Possibly my fault but i cant seem to get my bluetooth working ?
im going to try port cyan mod but it seems to be harder than the stock G2 rom for some reason, there are only G2 parts that i cannot remove as they are more embeded than others, this is only a quick port to see how much work needed doing, i will continue to work on it to improve it, if anyone else can confirm bluetooth isnt working and ill look into it

Im happy to hear you are trying to port over CM6 for the DHD and if you need someone to test roms etc PM me and i am willing to help. If you could add lack of fastboot to the bug list as well, however i was under the impression the g2 should have this anyway, or is it a sense only feature?

Good job on this one.
Bluetooth fix
Adwinp seems to have fixed bluetooth in his AOSP build so you could ask him how he managed to get it done, probably the same fix is necessary. Obviously all credit to adwinp for establishing the fix.
Slim Cyan 9

Re Uploaded with errors fixed...
Hello all! I present to you, my 2nd attempt at ROM Modding (first on ICS)... thoughtfully named SlimCyan9.
Yeah, it is inspired by the SlimICS ROM available for SGS II.. but the OP has mentioned of no ports...
So i made my own! This is not in any way related to his ROM, which i have never used, because i'm not too rich!
I always prefer to thank some people first... as you may or may not know... And that is because im still learning stuff, esp related to compiling from source...
Thanks and credits:-

Instructions and Tips&Tricks
Instructions:-
FOLLOW THEM AS IT IS OTHERWISE A FAIR CHANCE OF STRUCK AT SPLASHSCREEN OR BOOTLOOP
WISE PEOPLE CREATE A NANDROID BEFORE DOING ANYTHING
If you are on ANY CM9 build by LIROKOA:- (Group 1)
Reboot to recovery, Flash Slim Cyan 9, wipe cache, reboot.
If you are on any other ROM except lirokoa's CM9:- (Group 2)
Reboot to recovery
Flash Slim Cyan 9
Flash Original apk's .zip
Wipe Data/factory reset
Reboot
Finish the setup and everything...
Reboot to recovery
Flash ROM again. NO NEED FOR A WIPE NOW
Reboot
Post Flashing, Post Booting instructions:-
Since the DPI is changed to 145 to make CM theme engine compatible with nearly all the available cm9 themes,
Phone.apk keeps on crashing, when making or receiving calls.
The only feasible fix was using the included Jellybean theme.
So, Settings>themes>Jellybean> APPLY ANYWAY...
Run terminal to bring back the status bar... YOU JUST NEED TO RUN IT, any notification in status bar will do...
USB plugged message will do too!
Oh, and once you have applied the JB theme and rebooted your phone, EVERY theme will work properly without any FC on phone.apk.
Just don’t apply the Default system theme.
If you have upgraded from cm9 build, you may want to try the Slim Cyan ringtone.
This is set as default for people of the group 2
Optional is the Ubuntu Fonts pack, of which I’m a fan of... Flash via recovery, if you like open source too!
These fonts suit lower density better too! Roboto looks a bit pinched.
You need to Activate S2E if moving from any ROM not using S2E...
If you were using d2ext or ungaze or anything else, I’d recommend a clean install, EVEN if you were on cm9...
How to activate S2E:-
Make sure you are running a SD card partitioned via Yannou's recovery... I can’t help more than this.
Open S2E settings, Mount as ext4, set read buffer is optional.... works for me
Reboot
Reopen S2E... Options should now be available... tick em all and reboot.
Profit
If you are having problems in getting the device booted up, then the best advice from my side is, "GTF back to stock"
If you make a nandroid of Slim Cyan... IT IS POSSIBLE THAT because of handicapped systemui.apk, the phone may end up in a boot loop.
So I suggest you to download the original apk's.zip JUST IN CASE.
Want to make Slim Cyan even closer to the smoothness of Project Butter?
DONT USE ANY CPU-HOGGING APPS LIKE FACEBOOK OR WHATSAPP... BEST ADVICE!
Settings> Developer options> Show all ANR tick> kill app back button tick
Developer options> transition animation and window animation scale to 1.5x
Performance> CPU > Governor=interactive and set on boot tick
Performance> Memory> zRam> 18% or 26% and tick Purging of assets, if not...
Apex Settings> behavior> animation style> Jellybean
Reboot to slip on your phone...
I CAN GURANTEE that in stock Slim Cyan 9 Condition, after finishing the instructions and the tips and tricks, without using any bloat apps,
(For devs, without using terminal commands or any other funny things), YOU CANNOT HANG THE PICO.PERIOD.
At least, I was not able to do it...

Since you say that you have Gapps included, and , that the ROM is pretty slim, I would like to install and see how "slim" it is. Upload as soon as possible.:good:
P.S: Really hope there is a lot of free space too.
I am not removing what I wrote above but, I would like to suggest you to not include G-Apps in Cyanogen. Cyanogen is meant to be open-source. also, by including gapps, you are infringing the copyright of google.
How much internal memory after installed??

Display density
So, does display density of 145 mean lowering of display quality than cm9#8?
And is the bluetooth bug which was eating the battery fixed?
Would love to try out the rom.
Its amazing that a phone like HTC explorer too has such a strong dev network!
Waiting too.
Does internet pass through available in this ROM?

Remember that it's not ready for daily use. Nearly everything doesn't work. You have to wipe everything in order to make it boot. And of course, flash gapps too.

System Wizard stopped fixed
After installing CM10.1 with gapps you can't bypass Setup Wizard stopped. How bypass this error: 1.wipe all data 2.install CM10.1 nightly 3.Wipe all data 4.boot in 4.2, it will boot without errors. 5.Install your needed google apps from market. Error caused by gapps (I think its because low space in ROM - installing CM10.1 without gapps i getted only about 15mb free), so if we want to use future ROMS (4.3 - CM11 or CM10.3) we need to resize SystemROM, to resize SROM - we need unlock bootloader, to bypass bl - TI Board Conf tool & 16MB.bin or some future way )
