Hi there.
I have Samsung Galaxy S Plus (i9001). I rooted device, installed Clockworkmod. I did everything like is written here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1578821
Before instalation I full wiped. Mounted system. Everything what is written in above link.
But when I started installation I got "Status 7 Installation aborted". I thought that maybe Jelly Bean ROM was bad, so downloaded ICS ROM too. But the same happened with ICS ROM too.
I had no problems with Linux, Windows or Mac OS instalations, but with Android... Doh. I'm confused what to do next.
EDIT: FIXED
I installed CWM CM9 recovery (or something like this) and it worked.

Gday. I'm having this issues trying to update to the latest 8.01 version of the ultra toxic rom. I cant post as im below 10 post so this was the only place i could find for some help.
I have rom manager installed. and i also flash clockworkmod recovery then reboot into recovery. For what ever reason it will not work and im at a loss, tried uninstall it and go from there but no go.
Once it reboots it says at the top Android system recovery <3e>.
Down a little it says this.
E:failed to verify whole-file signature.
E:signature verification failed.
Installation aborted.
Basically i have searched the net and cant work it out myself. I've used it before for a backup when going from lightning rom to toxic rom. but I've never used it since.
mates,
I need your help on installing JB with CW 6.0.0.7. I have a 9023 with ICS 404 stock, rooted, with busy box installed. I tried to instal the jb download from google site (9ZGgDXDi.zip) and I get the following error:
installing update...
verifing current system...
assert failed: apply_patch_check("/system/build.prop", "5a11755c3b67986b1ea8beb466955e9339e3de2c1". "db469a8330031cea064b24c5ff8d7da080a79557")
E:Error in sdcard/applic utili/9ZGgDXDi.zip
(status 7).
Installation aborted.
I had the same problem installing it via ota at the same point.
I tried to change also the CW installing the 5082 but nothing.
Someone can help me to install the JB on my nexus???
thanks

I restored a backup of my system where busybox was not installed and I got the same problem.
Could you be so kind to link here these three files. To be honest I'm not so expert fo find them alone.
thanks
I went to stock by doing this. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29073020&postcount=1
I didn't flash the updates in the second part #1 but you could just flash instead. I logged everything in then did this to get the 4.1.1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=29067584&postcount=2817
Go into airplane with a strong wifi signal on for this to work.
I then rerooted (2nd part #2 on)
Hope this helps.

Status 7 means that you need a newer recovery. I just used CWM 6.0.4.7 yesterday to put CM11 on my parents tab2.
Hope this helps
Also try installing zip from " internal " storage.
Pp.
Hi, from CWM download page, the latest version is 6.0.2.7 for the Tab2 10.1 wifi (P5110).
With it installed following Cyanogenmod tutorial, I also have the status 7 error when trying to install both Cyanogenmod 11 latest nightly build, or SlimKat 8 stable.
Device is not rooted, but tried to install ZIP files from internal sd.
Checksums are fine.
I'm interested in the answer if you don't mind me to squat your post?
PS: I'm used to use CWM on my gt-i9100 and gt-i9305 with no problem.
Sent from my GT-I9305 using XDA Free mobile app
Finally solved by updating CWM to unnoficial 6.0.5.0 found on the post here.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2548476
Official 6.0.2.7 can't install kitkat roms and CWM team don't update it anymore for the Galaxy tab 2.

If you want a more user friendly touch interface, try TWRP from Android Andi's recovery thread.
I can't flash a ROM because it keeps showing me that trebon error. I used to get the getprop error (Status 7). I checked a guide on the internet and I managed to delete that line by following the guide but now I get the Status 6 error.
I even have further problems. After the format now the phone keeps booting to CWM because all the files are deleted. I can put ROMs on my SD card using my other phone (I put the sd card in my other phone and then in this one with the files on it).
Please help me, I've tried 2 ROMs and they just won't work. They are CM11 I think and SpeedMod 2.5.1
Now I'm going to try PAC Man 4.2 build 2 and CM 10.2
By the way, flashing gapps works, I've already tried it for curiosity.
UPDATE 1: Tried PAC Man 4.2 build 2, not working at all. Tried to edit the lines, but no use.
I am running an Asus TF101 B90 tablet. I have just rooted and installed KatKiss 4.4.4_036. I am using ClockworkMod v 3.2.0.1 roach2010-tf101-r1 for recovery. This appears to work fine. I have tried the defined step,s both before and after flashing the 4.4.4 ROM, to flash the 5.1 ROM without success. I have tried this with both a full wipe and without. The results are always the same. After it starts the install the system gives me the following error messages:
Set_metadata_recursive: some changes failed
E:Error in /sdcard/KatKiss-5.1_030.zip
(Status 7)
Installation aborted
I have the same issue with KatKiss-5.1_030c.zip. Yesterday was the first time I rooted an android device. Any recommendations on what and how I need to change things so I can move to Lollipop? Thanks.

You need to install a recent recovery
See the link in the 1st post of the rom installation instructions
Thanks!

Tim,
First of all thanks so much for your work keeping the ASUS TF101 alive and working! It means a great deal. I did flash the TWRP 2.8.1 recovery system. That worked fine. I was then able to flash the KatKiss-5.1_030c ROM. I am now running Lollipop 5.1.1! Two questions. I ran Root Checker Basic. It can no longer validate that I am rooted, though it could when I ran 4.4.4. Is this to be expected or is there something I need to fix? Secondly, Lollipop seems a bit slower than 4.4.4. Is this to be expected or is there something I need to change to up performance? Thanks.
