After two days of using my N8000, suddenly my s pen went into "reverse" mode.
When trying to take notes with s notes it always behaves as eraser but if I press the s pen's button when hovering over the screen and then I start writing with button pressed it writes correctly.
Has any one seen issue like this before?
As a side note I'd like to add that I've tried it with 2 other note taking apps: in papyrus it behaves exactly the same as in the s note but in lecture notes every thing is correct :/

Did you try changing the tip?
Yep, I've tried changing the tip as also as performing hard reset but non of these helped. I've visited a local samsung store today to try using some different s pens, they only had one from note 2 but it worked like a charm ... anyway new s pen is hopefully comming next week

Hello,I bought a HTC Desire S around 4 months ago.
From past 2 days i have lot of problems with it.
1.Home screen button not working
2.Q,A keys are not working while typing(they work when i rotate the screen)
3.Wen i rotate the screen and start typing the whole keys on the least bottom dont work.
4.Sometimes if i press back key it goes to selection option...sometimes whole phone hangs.
5.Im not able to download from market...after i click download it shows downlading icon but it never starts download.
I made factory reset for couple of times but no use.
Any one have some suggestions?
numbers 1 to 4 seem like some sort of problem with your touchscreen... Have you tried wiping it with some clean cloth after breathing on it? My back button has some issues registering touches once in a while, but wiping it helps always
Regarding 5, I don't know really, but have you tried using the webmarket?

ya i tried wiping it but not working
Does the area where your Q and A keys are when in portrait work when the keyboard is not on? Can you use it to click items, scroll webpages etc?
One other thing you could try is the calibrate option for the keyboard. (somewhere in settings-> languages I think, it's been a while since I ran an Sense ROM).
If both yield no result, it sounds like a hardware issue to me, and you might be best of to invoke your warranty.
Whenever I lock my device, the touchscreen becomes unresponsive. I must restart the device after I lock it every time. the lockscreen only works the first time u use it. Even if I hold down the power button, none of these work and I must do a hard shutdown. Has anyone else had this problem. I am on stock, with one firmware update, unrooted. I have the US WiFi model.
Update: I have tried a no lock app which skips the touchscreen. This works, but when the screen is unlocked no touch input is accepted.
Search for Entropy's Odin flash , and reflash.

Did You try to switch of lock screen completely in settings ?
?.............................
frozen lockscreen
That update has screwed up pen on many devices . Mine was like that too for a while . I have changed settings in stylus , disabling the pen detection , and after that when I remove pen touch does not work , when I put it back screen works again . I went back to the store and exchanged it for new device . Since I heard that samsung has pulled back that bad update , I tried to update and it is pulled back . But samsung is not doing the right thing . They should put old one as " update " so that people can fix their devices . Find and flash rooted UEALGB rom and you will be fine
I saw this behavior when battery was low. After charging it up the issue went away. This was after the update so that might've introduced the behavior. Another GN 10.1 without update doesn't do that.

This does not work. When I turn the screen back on no input is registered. I am going to fully charge it now.
Ok, i seemed to have found the problem. I was on vacation for the last 3 days, and I had forgotten my S-Pen at home. On the last night I began encountering these problems. I have just gotten home and was able to test the tab with the S-Pen and it was not accepting the S-Pen input at all. I restarted the tablet, with the S-Pen in its holder this. Now everything works perfect! This was very strange but I am glad that it is working now. Thank you all for your help.
Hi! Starting last night all the sudden my note 10.1 doesn't recognize the s pen anymore. The screen recognize my input normally but when I take the pen out the screen doesn't read any input from the pen or my fingers at all times, it pretty much freezes. I put on the option to disable pen recognition when pen is attached and the tablet would read the input from my fingers again. I turn the show pen hovering option on the tablet seems to think the pen is at the very edge of a certain corner whenever the pen is detached(thus sensing the pen is hovering there although its not). I have tried to defaulting the firmware by flashing it with the stock firmware but it didn't fix the issue. How do fix it? Could it be a hardware issue? I live in canada and got the tablet in the states would I have to bring it back to US to fix it . Thank you guys for replying!!
I just factory resetted the device and this issue persisted..anyone know anything about this?
Sounds like a problem with the wacom digitiser part. Personally I'd return under warranty...
If there's a hardware fault, reflashing every rom in the world won't fix...
Nvm for random reason it starts to work now thanks for your help
Hi,
I have an AT&T Note Edge recently updated to 5.0.1.
Since the update, I noticed the device started to have touchscreen issues: it clicks itself randomly.
Some times I am writing on the virtual keyboard and it duplicates pressed keys, or maybe presses other keys. When scrolling an app, some times it may recognize a click before sliding, which results in e.g. open a link on browser instead of scrolling the page.
Does anybody have this same problem?

I get this every now and again as well. I think they bumped up the sensitivity on the panel with the new firmware since it only happens to me when my finger is close to the screen.
Yesterday it kept pressing backspace many times in a row even with my fingers far from screen.

Yes. This happens frequently on my AT&T Note Edge. Also, the screen freezes, the phone overheats, the battery dies in a couple of hours of medium (I now carry 3 spares), apps crash all the time....and so on. This was a great phone that was destroyed by the Lollipop update. When I get back from this trip, I plan to feed it to AT&T and get something that works. There are no fixes, by the way, just nonsense about rebooting.
Hello,
my N915FY, me and my bicycle took a bath in the river. I disassembled it, cleaned it with isopropanol, etc. and it works again - so far. But i recognized an issue: the display wokes up from standby several seconds for a lot of time while the S Pen is attached. Sometimes when i include the S Pen the note asks me wich application i want to choose to finish search request. In this situation i cant set the note to standby mode by pressing the powerbutton. This also happens when i put a small magnet on the return button, so the note thinks the S Pen is attached.
I've done a hardwarereset, cleaned it again with no result. The problem still exists.
I am very thankfull for any suggestions. Maybe someone can show me where the magnetic sensor, that recognizes the S Pen, is built in the note edge so i can clean it again or change it.
Rom: original 5.0.1 Lollipop + Root
Regards Daniel
PS.: It doesnt happen, if i start the note without connected usb-port platine.
