TAPATALK HD IS NOW OUT OF BETA AND HAS EXPIRED. PLEASE PURCHASE THE PAID VERSION BY SEARCHING "Tapatalk HD" ON THE PLAY STORE
For making it look right on a phone, see post 2
You want this on a phone? Here we go:
You'll need:
A rooted phone with ParanoidAndroid including per-app DPI
The apk from post 1
Method 1: Using ParanoidAndroid settings
1.) Install the apk as normal
2.) Go to your device's settings > ParanoidAndroid settings (Location and name differs per rom)
3.) Select apps > Tapatalk HD Beta
4.) Select the DPI slider to anything below 200
5.) Tap apply
Done, it will fit now. If you want the text bigger, go to Tapatalk's settings and set the font size from there
Method 2: Using the properties.conf file
Note: You still need to be running ParanoidAndroid to do this
1.) Open a root file manager, such as Solid Explorer
2.) Navigate to /system/etc/paranoid
3.) Open the properties.conf file to edit (Solid explorer has the built in text editor to do this)
4.) Add this line to the end:
Code:
com.quoord.tapatalkHDBeta.dpi=160
(Change the 160 to what fits you best between it and 200)
5.) Save the file
6.) Force close and re-open Tapatalk HD Beta
Done, it will fit now. If you want the text bigger, go to Tapatalk's settings and set the font size from there
Thanks, this is very nice. Running on ParanoidAndroid

I really am liking this app and it's all working great but with a couple of alterations, it would be much better.
1. I don't like how there's no way to get to your own profile, except for finding one of your previous posts and clicking your avatar from there.
2. Using this brings un-needed options on your profile with no way to get rid of them. They also show on xda app aswell. See picture below.
3. I don't like how I can't stop the stickied threads from showing. I understand that it's there so new users will definitely see them, but I don't need to be force fed them because if I want to view them, I'll do so anyway.
Still working great and looking great though

I've been using this for a couple of days now and like it a lot better than the non-tablet version. The only thing I don't like is if you open a notification and then click on the back button in the top left it closes the app instead of bringing you back to your list of forums. That happened in the non-tablet version as well.

I Don't think so.. But the good thing on the new version of the app is that once you add your forums, they will be kept forever, unless you remove them manually, even if you wipe. Pretty cool if you ask me, no more need to restore from Titanium Backup. Just install, enter the passwords on each of the forums and voila.
Beta 4 Coming, Apparently Beta 3 has problems with Tablets..

Hi,
I've created a cute companion widget for the Official Facebook app. The widget makes use of the ICS stack view allowing you to flick through your 25 (5 with the free version) most recent news feed articles.
It requires Android 4.0 and it uses Facebook's secure single signin (SSO) as well as OAuth authentication.
This widget is a large improvement over most widgets offering your Facebook news profile on your phone's homescreen.
Supported Home Launchers:
Stock Android 4.0 Launcher
Cyanogen Trebuchet Launcher
TouchWiz Launcher (ICS version only!)
Nova Launcher
Apex Launcher
Go Launcher EX (ICS version only!)
ssLauncher
Free Features:
Android 4.0 (ICS) support
Flick through your posts with a swipe up or down gesture
Displays posts in a stack view like a rolodex
Re-sizable widget
Light-weight
Displays up to 5 recent posts from your news feed
Automatic widget refresh every 2 hours
Large support for ICS Home launchers
High-quality user profile images
4 line status display
Display posts relating to status/video/photo/linked news!
Stylish widget layout
Posts with media show up as a watermark under the status text
Download Free Version
Unlocked Additional Features:
Displays up to 25 recent posts from your news feed
Clicking a post opens the official Facebook app
Clicking a post opens a custom selected app
Run's with or without the Official Facebook app installed
Customizable widget refresh interval

Hi ads7112,
I'll be adding the preference for refresh interval, it should be up in the market in a few hours. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by internal vs default viewer? Do you mean which app is opens when you tap on a post?

Hi Slither
what I mean is tha you viewer is very nice and light as widget but when you tap on a specific post it requires to open the official facebook that is not so light and fast.
Because other viewers are faster it would be nice to have the option to select the default viewer to use when tapping on the post
Alternatively
It could be used an INTERNAL viewer able to display small pictures and video previews
Hi ads7112,
I'd be happy to add the first feature you suggested since it will still allow the widget to stay lightweight. The option will be configurable via the Stackz app shortly
That's wonderfull Thanks
Looking forward to apply it

I'm not really sure what it could be? I've tested it on my S2 i9100 with both CyanogenMod9 and the stock Samsung ICS firmware successfully.
The only requirements I've put in the widget are :
Screen layouts: SMALL NORMAL LARGE XLARGE
Required device features
android.hardware.touchscreen
I had a look on the net and the three things that might be causing the Play store from filtering your device are if you have changed the dpi to something other than 160 or 240 and maybe if the build.prop doesn't report the correct phone model information to the market.
I've moved around a few image resources to their correct dpi related folders in the hope that was what caused your issue. The updated version 0.9.1 will be up shortly. You could give that a try and see?
Regards,
Steve.
Awesome I will check my build.prop and try the update and let you know. Thx.

[APP][4.2+] CyanogenMod cLock - Better lockscreen & homescreen clock (Update 8/1/13)
This clock is from CyanogenMod, I did not make it. Please do not report bugs to me
CyanogenMod cLock
Tested on ParanoidAndroid Galaxy Nexus

This clock is just like the stock lockscreen clock in 4.2 but has options for:
- Yahoo! weather
- Font (bold or not bold)
- Option to show alarm or not
- Show next calendar events
- 2 weather icon styles: White or colourful
- Analogue or Digital Clock
Works on your homescreen too!

1. Download the apk
2. Try to install it normally
3. If that fails, copy it to /system/app
4. Reboot
5. Add it to your lockscreen
Changelog (unofficial)
8/1/13:
Analogue clock now available
Translations updated
Text Shadow
4/1/13:
- New coloured weather icons
- New bold options
- New calendar options
- New preferences interface (icons and lists)
Installs on Nexus7 but weather and calendar don't show.

does anyone know how to have back DELETE button in notifications?
In settings I have found now two options:
1. Show archive, delte or both in buttun bar
2. Enable Swipe to xxxx
where in option 2 xxx changes depending on the value for option 1:
- if 1 = archive then xxx = archive
- if 1 = delete then xxx = delete
- if 1 = both then xxx = archive (!!!)
The above makes no snese at all....
*urks*
Who the hell made the decision to move the navigation bar to the top?! I want to be able to use my smartphone one-handed (especially as I am a Note 2 user ).
This really is ridiculous. And a big step backwards (at least for me).
Has anyone been able to get the newest version into dual panel/tablet mode using PA hybrid settings or similar? I've tried everything and it won't change to dual panel. Every previous version worked perfectly fine.

i'm facing signature conflicts when trying to install the app.
anyone got an idea on any workaround?
Just got the update from Play Store.
But there's one thing i don't get:
So now the contact pictures have a more important role in the app and I noticed that although my contacts' pictures appear fine, my own contact picture (which appears fine on the web interface or in hangouts app) doesn't appear.
I found someone with a similar problem but with no real solution: Link
The only workaround I found was to tap on the place of my picture and add MYSELF to MY CONTACTS and add the same picture to it from gallery. Looks quite silly to me. Anyone?
I can't stand that update. A quick access to delete button is mandatory. I also don't like tpo have those big squares with letters at the left of screen. Is any way to remove them?

I can't stand that update. A quick access to delete button is mandatory. I also don't like tpo have those big squares with letters at the left of screen. Is any way to remove them?

To quickly access delete button.
1.Go to settings.
2.Select General Settings.
3.Tap on Archive & Delete.
4.You will get three options Archive only, Delete only and Archive and Delete.
5.Choose the third option i.e Archive & Delete.
To turn off images (big squares with letters).
1.Go to settings.
2.Select General Settings.
3.Uncheck the box labeled 'Sender Image'.
Hit thanks if I helped.

Who the hell made the decision to move the navigation bar to the top?! I want to be able to use my smartphone one-handed (especially as I am a Note 2 user ).
This really is ridiculous. And a big step backwards (at least for me).

I agree. Even I want to get the navigation bar on the bottom of the app. Any ideas for how to do it? Any devs worked on it?
BTW this is what is shown on gmail website. The nav bar is on the bottom.

Focal is a fully featured camera app looking to provide the most features on the most phones possible, including device-specific features on some devices.
This app is the official release from the ex-CyanogenMod app.
It features:
- A photo and video mode, supporting many features (burst mode, timer mode, scene mode, shutter speed on Sony devices, ...)
- A panorama mode, currently semi-broken
- A PicSphere mode, open-source replacement of Google's PhotoSphere, to do 360° sphere shots
- A review drawer, by sliding from the top of the screen (in portrait). It shows your latest pictures.
In photo mode, you also have access to a few tools, such as automatic picture enhancement (auto-awesome), or a rule of thirds overlay. On some devices, settings such as Color adjustment, HDR and a manual light measure point are also available. Double tapping the screen will put your in quick shot mode, where tapping the screen anywhere will take a picture.
In video mode, high-framerate video is also possible.
Tips:
- You can slide a widget's left handle to the right to close it
- You can swipe twice to temporarily hide open widgets, and swipe back to recover them
- You can pin widgets on your main screen
- You can scroll the sidebar
Notes:
- This app targets mostly phones, but should mostly work on tablets.
- It is fully open source (GPL), and the sources can be downloaded at https://github.com/xplodwild/android_packages_apps_Focal
- It is a BETA, which means you might encounter bugs and crashes. I'm mostly working on newer devices (Galaxy S3 and +), so older devices might encounter more issues than recent ones.
- I do this in my free time, and this is a free software. Instead of rating 1 star because there is a bug, you should do a constructive comment, or raise the issue to me on twitter, @XpLoDWilD. Or even better, fork the project and fix the problem
- Even if some parts of the app sucks for now, they'll improve over time.

Fellow XDA users: Most of you here use custom ROMs. It means you know a bit about Android, and how useful it is to submit logs. Either you can submit a logcat here, or at least please report the crash using the "Report" button, so I can see it on my Play Store console. WIthout that, I can't fix your bug. Thanks!

If you like the app and would like future development, consider getting the Donate edition.

You need to run at least Android 4.2.
Works great for me so far. I had a hacked version from the cm nightly previously running on aokp nightly. This new one works so much better. No issues so far. Thanks for putting this on the play store although you should make it a couple bucks

I'm planning on having a second Donate version - but I'll only put it up once I'm sure there are no major problem.
Good work! I look forward to using this camera on my device, as well as supporting a play store donate/pay version.

Done.
At the same time, I pushed an update to fix PicSphere rendering.
Subscribing. Hopefully it would be compatible with 4.1.2 soon. Looks great.

oh okay, it has 4.12.
I see images are still rotated and it defaults to tiny resolution, but I can not wait for this to get the bugs out. Shame about the drama but look at the bright side, more people will search for the app and know of its existence because of it
