[APP][WIDGET][ICS][0.9.9.1][FREE]Stackz Widget for Facebook - Android Apps and Games

Hi,
I've created a cute companion widget for the Official Facebook app. The widget makes use of the ICS stack view allowing you to flick through your 25 (5 with the free version) most recent news feed articles.
It requires Android 4.0 and it uses Facebook's secure single signin (SSO) as well as OAuth authentication.
This widget is a large improvement over most widgets offering your Facebook news profile on your phone's homescreen.
Supported Home Launchers:
Stock Android 4.0 Launcher
Cyanogen Trebuchet Launcher
TouchWiz Launcher (ICS version only!)
Nova Launcher
Apex Launcher
Go Launcher EX (ICS version only!)
ssLauncher
Free Features:
Android 4.0 (ICS) support
Flick through your posts with a swipe up or down gesture
Displays posts in a stack view like a rolodex
Re-sizable widget
Light-weight
Displays up to 5 recent posts from your news feed
Automatic widget refresh every 2 hours
Large support for ICS Home launchers
High-quality user profile images
4 line status display
Display posts relating to status/video/photo/linked news!
Stylish widget layout
Posts with media show up as a watermark under the status text
Download Free Version
Unlocked Additional Features:
Displays up to 25 recent posts from your news feed
Clicking a post opens the official Facebook app
Clicking a post opens a custom selected app
Run's with or without the Official Facebook app installed
Customizable widget refresh interval
Download Unlocked Version

Steve

It currently supports phones with Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) installed. Is your phone running at that version?

It's my pleasure. My aim was to adhere to the Android and Facebook SDK coding standards while making the widget lightweight and stable. I'll be improving the downloading speed tonight which should make a dramatic decrease in load times.

Thank you for alerting me to this. I'll perform more testing based on your device screen and OS version via an emulator and see if I can reproduce your issue.

Thank you! I really like the way the widget is set up. If you need a beta tester for my device and setup... I'll be more than happy to help.

It is very nice ...
I would like

2) option to select the default viewer or a ligh internal viewer
Thanks

Hi ads7112,
I'll be adding the preference for refresh interval, it should be up in the market in a few hours. I'm not sure I understand what you mean by internal vs default viewer? Do you mean which app is opens when you tap on a post?
Steve.

That would great thanks Vinsane

Hi Slither
what I mean is tha you viewer is very nice and light as widget but when you tap on a specific post it requires to open the official facebook that is not so light and fast.
Because other viewers are faster it would be nice to have the option to select the default viewer to use when tapping on the post
Alternatively
It could be used an INTERNAL viewer able to display small pictures and video previews

Hi ads7112,
I'd be happy to add the first feature you suggested since it will still allow the widget to stay lightweight. The option will be configurable via the Stackz app shortly

That's wonderfull Thanks
Looking forward to apply it

I'm not really sure what it could be? I've tested it on my S2 i9100 with both CyanogenMod9 and the stock Samsung ICS firmware successfully.
The only requirements I've put in the widget are :
Screen layouts: SMALL NORMAL LARGE XLARGE
Required device features
android.hardware.touchscreen
I had a look on the net and the three things that might be causing the Play store from filtering your device are if you have changed the dpi to something other than 160 or 240 and maybe if the build.prop doesn't report the correct phone model information to the market.
I've moved around a few image resources to their correct dpi related folders in the hope that was what caused your issue. The updated version 0.9.1 will be up shortly. You could give that a try and see?
Regards,
Steve.

Awesome I will check my build.prop and try the update and let you know. Thx.

[App] Ice Cream Sandwich 2.4 Launcher

EDITED 12/2/2011
NOTE - The Pro version, ICS+, is now a key! You must install ICS Launcher to continue using it. This new system will prevent many errors from occurring, such as "Duplicate Provider Authority"
FINALLY! Here is the latest and greatest update! Not only is it rebuilt, it is redesigned and based off our not-so-far away launcher called Omega.
The latest build brings tons of new settings and advancements. It also received new scrollers so it should be buttery smooth now and not choppy like it was before. lol
Anyways, APK is available on syndicateapps.com and the Android Market.

In the running apps: Sms says device not supported, email-gallery-music all force close, and system settings does nothing. When you have the app drawer open and go from portrait to landscape it closes the app drawer and vice versa.
Mytouch4g running latest Miui
It looks really unique!
The only think lacking is the electric blue theme. The icons are a little blurry too.
Force closes on launching from "Running Apps". I dislike the font though.
yes, the running apps panel is not done. it is taken out of HCL because I am not sure what the real running apps looks like for Ice cream sandwich. I know the buttons force close for many of you because the package names for all devices are not in there.
after school today I will make an update of it and repost the apk.
Looks good
The dock background seems kind of unfinished though, as do other things as well such as the multitask button. Just polish it a bit and it'll rock.
Also, change the icon, it looks horrible

impressive browser, better than ics stock
A really nice android browser that based on stock ics browser. Especially the sidebar is very impressive.
Is it only the stock browser with a different menu? Does it offer additional features? $2 for a sidebar menu doesn't seem like a good deal unless there's something I'm missing.

This is a good browser with great potentials. I personally love the sidebar function similar to firefox but this browser presently lacks customisation options like custom UA etc. The developer can take a look at Quick ICS browser and ICS+ browser for more inspiration

[APP][4.2+] CyanogenMod cLock - Better lockscreen & homescreen clock (Update 8/1/13)

[APP][4.2+] CyanogenMod cLock - Better lockscreen & homescreen clock (Update 8/1/13)
This clock is from CyanogenMod, I did not make it. Please do not report bugs to me
CyanogenMod cLock
Tested on ParanoidAndroid Galaxy Nexus
Original Google+ post from CyanogenMod
This clock is just like the stock lockscreen clock in 4.2 but has options for:
- Yahoo! weather
- Font (bold or not bold)
- Option to show alarm or not
- Show next calendar events
- 2 weather icon styles: White or colourful
- Analogue or Digital Clock
Works on your homescreen too!
To access the settings, find Chronus in the app drawer

(Any features other than the clock you can see are available in the ParanoidAndroid ROM)
This version is now old. Please download the official one from this thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=39036400
Installation:
A video to help you along:
Big thanks to Nath Ward of Nathtech for the video!
(Features may be outdated)
I changed the signature to a more consistent debug one. If you are already using Chronus, you need to uninstall and reinstall to update!
1. Download the apk
2. Try to install it normally
3. If that fails, copy it to /system/app
4. Reboot
5. Add it to your lockscreen
Changelog (unofficial)
8/1/13:
Analogue clock now available
Translations updated
Text Shadow
4/1/13:
- New coloured weather icons
- New bold options
- New calendar options
- New preferences interface (icons and lists)

Installs on Nexus7 but weather and calendar don't show.
Edit. Got it now, you have to adjust the widget size on the home screen to see everything. Doh!

I am just trying to, not ready yet. My old clock stays on the lock screen, so I guess it's my fault.

I don't think the cyanogenteam mind when people go customizing stuff from them but I think they DO mind when those people refer to them for all bug reports concerning this.

I just ripped the apk, changed the manifest so it appears in the app drawer and shared it here. It's a stock CM app, they need the bug reports from it, not me

You need to remove the old clock. You can do this by making it "full screen" (slide the clock down) and then tap and hold it and drag it to the cross, like you would a home screen widget. Then the new one should be your main widget

For those confused about some stuff still, I have a friend making a screencast video on installing, setting up, what you can do with it and all that stuff.

Is it normal that when I put my update interval to manual in weather that I don't get the weather until I have Wi-Fi? I thought it would do that if I would put some time in it.
EDIT: it seems that it's when I turn off the device that the weather disappears.

Is it only for 4.2 ?
