I have an uprooted device that keeps rebooting ,I flashed a rom (4.1) the upgraded OTA to 4.1.2 and the rebooting is still there.
Remove SD Card. Enter recovery and clear cache. If still rebooting then factory reset. If Still rebooting, then reflash it back to ICS and start over.
Thanks, I did I reset but still same problem, where can I get that ics?

Why don't you try to help yourself and us by ...
Telling us what device you have (N8000, N8010, N8013 etc)
Telling us what you tried to flash (JB)
ICS firmware can be downloaded from http://www.sammobile.com

You have a rooted device ???
OTA upgrade usually fails on rooted phones .
Suggestion wipe the phone and install your original saved firmware .

No the device is not rooted. I upgraded to jb from the German leaked rom and then ota to the latest 4.1.2

You need stock recovery to install software updates. Are you using a custom one?

When you rooted your phone most surely you installed a custom recovery (clockwork maybe). Read this guide for getting back to stock recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=16862231

Can't find my current software version 1.45.707.1 under HTC Sensation in Android Recovery Manager... I guess, I'll have to wait until Android ICS update comes to HTC Sensation.
That won't help, you'll need the stock recovery to install that update as well.

Then what would be the solution?
I did Factory Reset the phone once and even after that, update didn't install. The phone was surely unrooted then. I explained this to HTC and they said that now i should wait for the ICS or i could bring the device to their lab, which i couldn't.

after rooting you should have flashed any custom recovery.please check your recovery . log to hboot and select recovery. i thing you got cwm or some other recovery. you want get your stick recivery after a factory reset.because factory resetiing mean deleting your data in your phone.
i am on the cwm recovery.i got the same update (14mb) and i tried once.it stucked in a window displaying a phone+exclamation mark(something like that)
anyhow, did htc tell you ics releasing date??

Hello,
I have a Galaxy Note 10.1 with 4.1.1 just bought this week.
I need (because of my job) the tablet working with ICS 4.0.3 (if this is impossible and it has to be with 4.0.4 its also ok).
So... is there anyway to downgrade the tablet to the 4.0.3???
Thank you so much!

Does any ICS file to flash will be enough for downgrade? Same partition schema in both JB and ICS????

I think both versions use same partition schema, I flash an Indian version of ICS (N8000DDALH1) wich include boot.img, cache.img, hidden.img, modem.img, recovery.img and system.img. without any issue, without partitioning using any PIT file nor selecting to repartition. it seems both ICS and JB are compatible at partition level.
i come from the Philippines. if i look under our coutry, it has 3 versions for 3 different carriers. but the same file.
my tablet is factory unlocked.
which do i choose?
You may also, after downgrading to ICS, boot into recovery - hold power + volume up until samsung logo appears, release power and wait for recovery - then factory reset, wipe data and cache... Otherwise you might just get to samsung logo and think its bricked....
I'm seeking help regarding the bootloader for my P3110:
>I can not install any new 4.1.2 roms because the bootloader fails in Odin (these new 4.1.2 firmwares seem to flash bootloader 1st)
>When I install older 4.1.1 firmware, the rom installs but the bootloader fails at the end although the device will boot normally after that.
>Codeworkx's bootloader (from CM10.1 page) will not install on odin either.. I just get an error message.
>Using triangle away on stock 4.0 and 4.1 will not work properly because of my bootloader issues.. (Modified status always comes back)
Maybe I could try flashing a CWM zip of the JB bootloader?? Could someone make or show me how to make one??
I've tried the obvious such as flashing back to ICS stock etc
Any help would be greatly appreciated as I would like to return the device to its original form... but I cannot do this as the device will not let me achieve any OTA updates (always says device has been modified)
Thanks
Matt
AW: Bootloader fail
CWM cant Flash the Bootloader, so a zip is useless. Choose heimdall for flashing the bootloader.

But I think that ODIN does not flash a bootloader because my existing bootloader is damaged
Try flashing any 4.0.4 stock rom then go back to jellybean.

Thanks for your reply.. I've done that but even though the firmware installs fine... "DEVICE HAS BEEN MODIFIED" always comes back when trying to OTA update.
When gone from 4.0.4 to 4.1.1 the bootloader fails to install... even though the rom itself has installed and runs
Modified status always comes back and all bootloaders fail to install
Oh.. Then flash any rooted room, use triangle away to reset counter (run the app then go directly to download mode), you will notice that counter and binary should be now 0.
Get 4.0.4 for your region and tablet. ( samfirmware or Samsung-updates). Flash it. Status should be official.
Get any csc chanter from play store and change CSC to your country (not all roms need this).
Update with kies or OTA and hope for the best.
Good luck.

P3113 bootloader instead of P3110
In the 1st few weeks of owning the device I accidentally flashed P3113 firmware instead of a P3110.
So ever since then, when in download mode, PRODUCT NAME = P3113
Do you think I have a P3113 bootloader instead of a P3110??? Is this why I cant flash a new P3110 Firmware (with sbl) because they clash???
P3113 bootloader instead of p3110
Ok so I'm getting closer to understanding why my device is behaving the way it it...
My bootloader shows that it is a P3113 device (the display in download mode)
So when I try to flash stock P3110 roms... it fails on the bootloader... because they dont match.
(My device is the P3110 by the way)
So why cant I flash a P3110 bootloader???
SO CONFUSED!!
Anyone got any more ideas??
Since upgrading to JB 4.1.2, I am not able to downgrade to ICS. After the flashing ICS via odin or for that matter mobile odin, is complete, it goes into a boot loop. Only way way out was again flash Jelly bean, it worked. Is there any firmware with full components like pda separate file, CSC separate file and phone separate file? I have heard that we need to flash these separate files via odin to downgrade. can anybody give a download link for the same?
Do you have a CWM back-up from a previous ROM?

you must go to stock ricovery ( with power + volum up ) and then wipe data
( your data are remove ( factory riset )
sorry for my bad ENGLISH
But I have heard that if one wipes factory reset through stock recovery, I am afraid one is liable to get bricked devices.

I would research the factory reset option. It shouldn't brick your device.

Just to make it clear.. wiping from stock is Safe IF you are in HC or JB ( someone said its safe ) but a big NO in ICS because it causes the tab to be bricked.. wiping from CWM on all roms is SAFE.. pls.. get your facts right..

If you want to downgrade from official JB to official ICS, you have to have .pit file
You can search pit file for P6200 in XDA and using odin to flash official ICS with option re-partition checked
First time, when my friend downgrade without .pit file, tab got stuck at SS logo even wipe everything fully. With .pit file, it succeeded

No, just ICS Stock Rom with .pit file
P6200 pit file in this thread (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667886) works fine
You can downgrade to HC, do wipes and flash ICS.
i usually do encounter this on my 7.7 when i flash hc from ics...what i did was wipe the device using cwm after flashing the older firmware to fix the bootloop...
my friend have tab 7 plus and i'm planning to flash jb on it...is the stock JB recovery free from the brickbug?

Did you check option re-partition in Odin?
By the way, stuck at SS logo is quite often happened if you did not wipe. You should try to perform full wipe.
There is an issue related to wipe using ICS stock recovery, you should use Odin to flash CWM recovery (without .pit file) and use CWM recovery to wipe.

Currently I'm on 4.1.2 stock rooted with twrp recovery. I want to sell my phone and was wondering if I could just update via kies to 4.3? Would this work since I have a custom recovery and I would assume it would reset the device back to normal?
Thanks

It would, but you might get more money with it still being on 4.1.2. I'd Odin a 4.1.2 image, make sure it works, and shut it off preventing it from updating.
Then the buyer can deal with the update if they wish to upgrade it. Or you could make a root user very happy by not upgrading.
