still stuck with my nexus coming up with a exclamation on my device, it shows up as android1.0. when trying to update and using the nexus s drivers I found on another posts and still not working. I am stuck on fastboot and cannot go any further.
until i can get my phone recognized properly when in fastboot, any tutorial on root is useless.
Anyone had this android 1.0 issue resolved? another poster on a thread said it might be the usb port on the phone itself, i highly doubt that is the issue with my phone. My nexus is recognized when booted in its normal state.
Looking for quick help, but will continue searching. another thread said try pdanet and will give it a try.
Thanks
got it! pda net worked.

Have you tried connecting your phone to the computer and running adb? If you just type adb devices, if your phone is connected it should show up.
Also, don't enable debugging when the sun cable is connected to your phone. Not saying you did, just thought it worth mentioning.

Oh yes sorry I'm currently on gb 2.3.6 infuse 4g AT&T
And no i havent im not sure what Adb is ha.
To root your phone from GB you need to install the Samsung provided drivers for the Infuse on your PC. You then need a Heimdall or Odin kernel package with cwm which you flash to your phone after booting it in download mode. You then flash a rooted ROM or root package from cwm recovery mode, after copying the package to your internal sd card. You can then flash whatever kernel you want.
The specific details behind this general process can be found in threads linked in the infuse super everything thread... See link in my sig below. Read up and do your research before attempting. Make a full backup of your phone too.

Ok thank you I did install a rooted rom with odin. Very much appreciated just two more question when installing a custom rom where do I put the rom file? And when I installed rom manager then I clicked a download rom it asked me to download something first I clicked install and then it asked me to verify my device it only had 3 options. Samsung nexus I think and some other ones I know my phone was not that model the only one that was close to mine was i900 I think or i9000 and mines an i977 I have a Samsung infuse for AT&T 2.3.6 gb should there be any problems or what do you suggest?
Custom ROM should be copied to your internal sdcard, then installed from cwm recovery. Make sure to backup your apps prior to this.. Titanium backup pro is a good choice. Do the necessary wipes before flashing. Read the OP (first post) of the rom for instructions.
Stay away from rom manager.

Ok thanks for all the help.
i tried to root my samsung galaxy s blaze last night with odin....im stuck on a screen that says firmware upgrade encountered an issue..please select recovery mode in kies..its not that easy...i went through the process of rooting beforehand and it was totally stuck on the screen where it has the little bar that fills up...right after the flying andriod screen...lol...im so lost...can anyone help me out...thanks yo..
Hmm.. if it says that on Odin you're probably on force download mode. So I'd suggest you flash a stock firmware from Sammobile.com. (you'll just flash the PDA file which is in the tar) then you should try rooting again. I'd suggest you follow Erikmms' guide on the dev thread.
(P.S I know you pm'd me sorry for the delay. If you've anymore questions pleases feel free to pm me.

When installing firmare, rooted kernel and cwm.....dont do it in one visit to odin. Also make sure you dont have autoreboot checked or repartition when flashing the rooted kernel or cwm. :good:

Just for my own curiosities sake, why not auto-reboot?
I'd recommend auto reboot. Then you don't have to go through the hassle of manual reboot from Odin.

Hello everyone, I know there are solutions for this all over XDA, there are too hard to follow since I dont like rooting androids, but just hear me out.
I'm trying to fix my brother's phone, It's a Tmobile LG Optimus One T.
He rooted it, and installed CyanogenMod 7, then he did factory reset, so it got stuck in the Android logo when you turn it on.
So I wanted to uninstall cyanogenmod and install the Stock ROM Firmware.
I installed SDK on my laptop, and Im looking for the stock files.
I know he should have made a backup before he installed cyanogenmod but it got deleted after he erased the SD card.
BTW, I unmounted the system and data files by accident because I thought I could remount them after I reboot, instead it got stuck in Fastboot mode.
Right now the cell phone says this when you turn it on:
fastboot mode started
udc_start suspend
Please help.

Phone: TMobile Samsung Galaxy S Blaze T769
Hello, I'm new to the process of rooting phones. This is my dilemma... The USB port on my old phone would not work, so I had to receive a new phone (same model). The problem is my app data cannot be transferred over using the same SD card, memory card, and battery. My only option is to root my old phone, but I have had no success... I downloaded Framaroot 1.9.0, as well as some earlier versions, but when I tried to install SuperSU, I would get the message "Error #5, try another exploit if available." Gandalf is the only exploit option that I have. Am I doomed to not being able to root my phone, or is there something I can do?
Hey,
have you tried to flash a rooted kernel with odin? Just enter "S Blaze T769 root" in Google.

Hi, thanks for the info. I downloaded Odin, but I got a message saying "application not available" when trying to open it on my phone.
You have to use odin through the computer to flash cwm and to get root as far as I know for this phone..but as you stated the USB port on the phone doesn't work so trying use Odin won't do any good at this point..
Sorry I couldn't be of more help

I'm not sure if mobile Odin would work for you.
It's also very risky as you don't have a means of recovering through usb.

I wouldn't root because Samsung looks at if the device has been rooted in the past and you can't restore stock with Odin so... I don't think you could root get your data and then restore the defective blaze back to stock with a working USB
