Atrix wont power on after attempted power cycle

I've had a Motorola Atrix 4G ever since the release last week, and I just now ran into some trouble. I recently tried to deplete the battery completely and then charge it all the way, to see if it would help the battery life (Ive done this before on other phone, and its worked, so I know im not crazy? RIGHT?!).
I played some Gun Bros for a while and then it powered off. I connected the charger cable to my phone and my computer, and left it for a while... and tried to turn it on. It didnt turn on, so I left it for a bit, and then tried again... and it still didnt turn on. Whenever I try to power it on, the notification light turns on for a bit, and then turn off.
This is my first Android device, so im really not sure if this is normal, or something.
My device is on 2.2 (of course), and has been rooted. Nothing extravagent has been installed on the device... just a few games, and some widgets.
If you guys need anything, just go ahead and ask.
Ugh... I got it.
I had to plug it into the wall :|
Thanks - same thing happened to me and I was about to freak out.

[Q] Wont turn on

Atrix 2 wont turn on
the white led comes on when i plug it into computer before i was trying to flash in fastboot but battery was low so i left it for a while to find it like this
Try plugging it into the wall. I had the same issue where it would bootloop to cwm recovery and not pass the M logo. Good luck...
If u can bootstrap recovery.. stay there.. and plug your phone into the wall and have it chill there. It will charge in recovery.
try plugging it in to the wall, but you may have to get it to charge manually by doing some cable splicing, there is a thread around here with details, this is not as hard as it sounds, so have no fear you can get your phone back. word of advice: make sure your battery is at least 80% or so before starting to flash or something like that. You will never have this problem again as long as you make sure it is full.

What you need to do is plug the phone in to charge. When it starts to turn on, pull the battery out and put it back. It will then sit there charging without trying to boot for a while. Watch the phone--after a while it will decide to try and boot again. Don't let it! Pull the battery again and then put it back. It will again sit there without trying to boot. Any time it tries to boot yank the battery. Keep this up for about three hours and you should have enough battery power to charge.
Or you could purchase the external battery charger to charge the battery. You may be able to find them pretty cheap--when I got mine they were $5 on Amazon. There is an alternate method that may work that involves cutting a USB cable and attaching the correct wires on the battery terminals. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=892026 I considered doing this once, but then I realized that destroying a USB cable costs roughly the same as just getting the battery charger.
Well explained.

[Q] Phone doesn't charge when off..

I remember reading that TWRP doesnt allow the phone to charge when it's off..? is this true?
To test, we turned the one x+ off and plugged it in.. the orange LED came on, but then got dim.. so I unplugged it.. and it never went out.
If I let my one x+ die, will i be able to recover?
