I remember reading that TWRP doesnt allow the phone to charge when it's off..? is this true?
To test, we turned the one x+ off and plugged it in.. the orange LED came on, but then got dim.. so I unplugged it.. and it never went out.
If I let my one x+ die, will i be able to recover?

i havent flashed a rom or anything my battery was at 20% last time i saw it and forgot to charge it and ive tried charging it and the orange light wont turn on either what could be the problem?
Try another cable. I've got one of them that has probs with data transfers ie Windows doesn't see the device but it can still charge, or try to mod the cable to work with some generic unused charger - note it's 5V.

ive tried that method, also tried htc touch adapter no luck, pc no luck, even ps3 no luck and no indicator lights are turning on either its not even that old 4 or so months and i havent dont any ruu.
can some one please help
how long have you been charging it without unplugging? try to leave it for night and then check,
secondly, is your phone responding to anything ? is there something on the screen or is it just blank ?
if it does turn on you could try to wipe it and then see.

sorry for posting it here im just really upset. I just forgot to charge it and it was at 20% and now it wont turn on and nothing turns on i dont even see an indicator light, screen power up or anything. should i just leave it to charge for a day or something?

problem solved removed battery for 10 minutes put it in and it said 100%:S just letting it charge though.
I've had a Motorola Atrix 4G ever since the release last week, and I just now ran into some trouble. I recently tried to deplete the battery completely and then charge it all the way, to see if it would help the battery life (Ive done this before on other phone, and its worked, so I know im not crazy? RIGHT?!).
I played some Gun Bros for a while and then it powered off. I connected the charger cable to my phone and my computer, and left it for a while... and tried to turn it on. It didnt turn on, so I left it for a bit, and then tried again... and it still didnt turn on. Whenever I try to power it on, the notification light turns on for a bit, and then turn off.
This is my first Android device, so im really not sure if this is normal, or something.
My device is on 2.2 (of course), and has been rooted. Nothing extravagent has been installed on the device... just a few games, and some widgets.
If you guys need anything, just go ahead and ask.

Ok I let my sensation(insert coin 2.2.1 stock kernal TMOUS) die. So last night I put it on the charger, and went to bed. I woke up and the light wasn't on, and it wouldn't boot up. So i unplugged it and plugged it in. Flashed orange led for a bit then it was solid for 5 or so seconds then it flashed twice and went off. I took out the battery and tried again same thing. Im pretty sure the chargers fine and I have a new batter on the way from T-MO but what do you guys thinks wrong here?

There is a way to jump start your battery to get it enough juice to turn on (search the forum). Or you can do what I did and borrow a mates Sensation and charge your battery in it for five minutes. That allows enough power to turn your phone on, and promptly plug it in and charge.
Do what Ross said but you need to reflash CWM 4.0.1.4 (blue) they fixed that version to charge the battery when phone is off or dead... 4.0.1.5 still has issues with charging while off or dead... Hope this helps

Thanks for the replies guys. I will hopefully get a battery by saturday. I'm a little to scared to do the jump start, with all the wire cutting and all. I was thinking that the clockwork mod(the orange one that I had out of no where) may have had something to do with it. Finnially I tried using adb...no luck. Thanks for the suggestion though.
I'm having trouble with my HTC Sensation. I Flashed ARHD 5.0.1 this morning and tried to flash the update to 5.0.2, but something went wrong. while I knew the battery must've been running low, the bootscreen took ages (first waited 15 minutes, lost my patience and then pulled the battery, next try was an hour). so I decided to try recovery in the HBOOT menu and it jumped right to an update screen saying LOCKED in a red box and telling me to update or not. so why not, clicked yes and it took ages again. so i pulled the battery and clicked no this time. then in the bootscreen saying beatsaudio I think it crashed. now it wont boot up by pressing power button and it wont get into HBOOT either. wondering if its the battery, pulled it out and checked with a multimeter, its on 3.76V, should be enough. strange thing is also that while in the charger, the LED doesn't light up. I just dont know what to do now. getting kinda desperate.
It looks like bad flash. try running your RUU from pc while phone is switch on.

well thats the problem, i cant turn anything on, it wont react to anything and my computer doesnt recognize it when it's plugged in

The sensation has some wierd feature that when battery is very low it wont turn on, leave it charging for an hour or so and then try again and flash as jasminthoria said.
ive had it in the charger for a whole night now, and still the LED doesnt light up indicating that its charging, its just completely unresponsive, also i dont get the feeling its charging anything. ive used 2 different chargers and i have connected it to the computer, but it just wont react, it's acting like its dead (or maybe it is i dont know). As soon as I'm back in Holland ill go to the vodafone store and see what they can do for me. i dont mind paying for the repair myself.
Have you taken the battery out after charging it? I forgot to put that in my last post

if you can try another battery try that see if it turns on if, it does then its your battery, if it doesnt then it could be something more than that

Came back after a couple of ours and the phone was just as how I left it, and still wouldn't turn on.. I've tried everything, removing the battery, the sim, the sd and that stuff..
Any ideas please!! I can't replace it for a new one, I bought it on amazon when I was in the states couple of months ago, I'm in Uruguay now.

this will probably be one of the strangest storys, the motorola wall charger didn't work, but what worked was my father's galaxy tab wall charger, the one y tried to use it to charge and wouldnt charge it, happent to make my phone work again

USB ports don't provide enough power to charge it from dead.
