Help Buying Sd Card! - Samsung Galaxy Fit GT 5670

Hi, I've found four 32GB Sd cards:-
1. Sandisk memory card Class-10
2. Sandisk memory card Class-4
3. Transcend memory card Class-4 (Height 15mm)
4. Strontium memory card Class-10 (Height-11mm)
Q1. Which one should I buy? (i.e. the best one)
Q2. Also, is there any "Height" issue (...if I bought a misfit sd card)?
Q3. Will it be compatible with my Galaxy Fit?
(For the 1st time I'm buying them online, so I'm xtremely worried!!)
Pls. help!!

1. The more the class, the better will be its r/w speed..so go for the class 10 only.
I have no idea whether strontium one is better or sandisk, but latter sounds a trustworthy brand.
2.Please make sure you're buying a Micro SD card
All micro sd have same dimensions : 15mm(Length) x 11mm(Width) x 1mm(Height).
And looks like this -

i bought 8gb sd card class 4 ,1/2 year ago from a online store then again a 16 gb card from electronics market(in my city)........
one of my juniors also bought the same 8gb class 4 transcend sd card, and using after sometime it got bricked....
So.. wander in electronis market in your town/city and get competetive price plus still you can bargain for a lesser price..Yay

32GB (MicroSDHC) card's market price ≈ 2,700 & that's for class 4. But online is approx. 2,000 for class 10.

Standard shops will give you MRP price( without or less discount) while shops selling electronic products in bulk(mostly smartphones/mobiles) sell at muh lower price. You will get a price nearer to what you saw on the internet...PLUS they dont know the basic diff of class of sd cards you can easily snatch u want to buy..
My point was with online stores u have to be cautious otherwise there is no problem..

I don't understand you. On card in the circle writes number 10.

I saw some are coloured. I looked for sandisk class 10. It was class 10 but nowhere written on the card(only coloured card with "Sandisk" written). I don't wanna get fooled with the fake one.

Thanks. I'm also struggling which SD card I should pick.
I have some bad experience previously with my Milestone. I heard Android phones have poor compatibility with fast SD cards, especially Class 10 cards. But unluckily I needed fast SD card for Apps2Ext with limited ROM on my Milestone.
But now my phone has decent amount of ROM space, does it mean that I can live with a slow Class 4 SD card? Is there any advantage of using a fast, Class 6 or 10, card?
I want to hear the opinion from users of fast cards.
Thanks.

Don't know that I can answer your questions directly. Only reason I got the 16G class 6 was because it was cheap and available at the time. I don't put apps on the sdcard and previously was working just fine with a 8G class 2. I just needed more space.
I bought a Ridata 16GB class 6 card and I usage a hard time getting the camera to save pictures to it. Always works for mundane things, but a soon as I want to take pictures if my kids it craps out. I have to unmount and then take it out and put it back in to work. Looks like I should ignored the review from Newegg.

Which micro SD card is better?

Hi!
I am deciding between these 2 micro SD card's. Please tell me which one of these 2 is better.
1) PNY 8GB MicroSD Class 4 Memory Card
2) RetailPlus 8GB Class 10 microSD Card (MEMS8GC10)
Thanks
You don't have to judge between them. Both will be awesome somehow. Anyway I vote for PNY.

Class 10 will be much faster, minimum 10Mb per second write speed. (If it really is a class 10)
I got a 16 GB Class 4 SanDisk microSD for around $20 or $30 while on sale. I find that you can often find these better known brands on sale quite often. Check weekly flyers of stores nearby.
Personally, I got mine from Tiger Direct.
EDIT: As for your two options, I do not need the speed that a class 10 microSD has to offer. I would just go with whichever is known to be more reliable. Exactly why I would opt to find a SanDisk on sale.
Class 10 is faster for read/write data.
Sent from my GT-N700 using xda app-developers app
Class 10 MicroSd is far better
Class 10 MicroSd is far better as it is also recommended for RAM expander app
Odp: Which micro SD card is better?
Class determine only write speed not read. If you are using card simple as storage you dont really need class 10 but ofc copying files will be faster. Class 10 is recomended for making hi res movies, gaming or ( as mentioned above) swap. Personally i recomend Samsung class 10 cards, no problems and nice speed.
i would say go with class 10 it is the faster out of the 2
as it is stated above if u use it for swap etc., a high speed card would be very handy, but as for just storage i'd go for pny.. btw take a look at this topic for the speeds: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=15269669#post15269669

You can have upto 32 GB..
The more the class, the better the speed and performance.
Buy atleast nothing below class 4..
and costs from Rs.200 to 2000 or even more..

The largest class is the class 10. (Class: 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10).
You need to purchase Micro SD Card.
The rest is all up already answered.
Our fit supports SD cards up 2 32gb of capacity. but it will definitely decrease d speed.2 avoid this choose 16 GB SD card. Remember, 4 higher speed u need a class 10 SD card!

Which 64gb microsdxc card will you get?

Just wondering which 64gb microsdxc cards are you guys looking to use with your new s4? WIth al the issues with the sandisk 64, wondering if it's worth paying the little extra for samsung 64gb pro UHS1 (does the s4 support that speed?) Anyone know?
Also are you guys planning to use exfat? I hear some of the roms w/the old s3 had issues with exfat and needed fat32
Haven't heard of any problems with the s4, pretty sure there will be more info by next saturday
So I ended up getting the samsung 64gb microsdxc UHS1 speed rated, and also bought a USB 3.0 card reader that supports it. I suspect however the s4 (like the s3) will not support the higher UHS speeds:
I ordered the same card yesterday. I think the quality is alot better than sandisk. And even if the sgs4 dont support the full speed. It's still worth the few bugs more.
But maybe it do support it? Will have to wait and see.

Don't you have a promotional deal from Samsung in your country? We, in the Netherlands, get a 64gb c10 sd card from Samsung with the S4.
i really love faster loading apps, though i'm normally limited in how many apps i can store on the sd card... however!
-the faster write speed will definitely come in handy when taking dual shot video
-the faster read speed is definitely worth getting UHS-1 but i doubt that you will notice much difference between the sandisk and samsung versions no matter what you're doing.
still, much thanks for the benchmarks, the samsung card will definitely offer a more future-proof solution
How does the Samsung 64GB MicroSD stack up in terms of speed vs the Galaxy S4 internal memory? Also, is it worth the extra $10 or so for the Samsung version vs Sandisk?

my 32gb sandisk was effed in my s3, mounted and unmounted every minute, could take a battery from 100 ~ 30 in an hour with screen off in your pocket.. replaced it with a new one and has worked fine since, there's a visual difference of the memory array on the card, so i think there's a upgraded hw version of the sandisk microsd cards. got my bad one from bestbuy last black Friday

I went with SanDisk because I've had the fewest problems with that brand compared to say Sony or PNY. I tried using the card as exFAT and ran into problems. Furthermore, it's incompatible with CWM (due to the Microsoft patent, they can't include support), so I used guiformat to reformat it FAT32, and now it runs smoothly and is visible to CWM. Having so much room at hand is quite liberating.
For what it's worth, the 64GB Samsung Extreme Pro card is $49.99 at your local Frys (if you have one nearby) until 5/23.

If not, Amazon recently dropped their pricing to $52.98 shipped.

Picked that up at Radio Shack for $43 before Christmas. Formatted it to fat32 for my Note 2 and popped it in the S4 with no issues.
When I buy another one it'll be SanDisk or Samsung.
